The staff are great, but i feel like paknsave doesn't care about what we customers want and need, the shelves are always empty and our usual products no longer exists in the store. Today I've started shopping at Countdown better selection of products and they have raw sugar.

Used to be my only grocery supermarket but now not so much. Don't have many NZ products, the fruit and vege poor quality, the general staff happiness seems to be missing.Prices the same as the other supermarkets. No "save" about it anymore.

It always has been and always Will be my favorite shopping Experience the staff and Management are always tentive To there customers. Always fully stocked with produce an many many More Product etc..for me these Guy's surely deserve more than A 5 star rateing Thank you GUYS👍🤓😷🤔🙄😄😁

As a visitor to this location, I found the shop very busy and the parking not the best. The stand out though was the wall of fantastic photos showcasing the achievements of local young people - loved this touch.

This place feels like a Costco or Sams Club back in the USA. They have everything for the camper or RV traveler. Ample parking lot too. It is packed, always! But the check out lanes go nice and smooth. I recommend all of the fresh fruit and mix and match trail containers. Feb 2020 for photos.

Pretty easy to shop around inside this super market. I used to be quite overwhelmed by the colours and products available, now I relish the experience, I love the in season vegetables section. Their water melon is superbly sweet and the price is a darn sight more sharp than other supers that shall remain nameless here. Im really noticing a marked improvement in the availability of vegetarian products. So full credit for suppliers upping their game . My daughter is vegan and fussy and thanks to being able to get a fair amount of quality vegan food products, e.g. the bean company range at pak n save, why she is still living with us. Thats great .

Shelves a bit bare and restrictions on something's but not Pak n saves fault. Workers have to put up with a lot of agro but most are still smiley considering what they have to put up with. So customers behave your self. It is not the checkout operates fault that things are a bit hard to get.

Still some bargains if you look around. Good selection of goods considering the impact covid is having. Staff working hard.

Nice fresh colorful produce, cheaper than other supermarkets, all the workers busy as and checkout staff super friendly! They also have self service checkouts now!

Great place. Plenty of vegie variety, but be aware of the quality sometimes.Lots of stock and variety. Layout is a bit unusual compared to other PnS stores. Not overly busy.

Probably the biggest Pak and save shop in Rotorua. Best place for grocery shopping and grab a food. Plenty of parking space and most importantly has Gas station so you can fill petrol after your shopping and get 6C discount per litre.

Awesome range of affordable fresh produce - and great quality. Great meat prices and options. Friendly, helpful staff. Sometimes they don't have all options of some things (esp health food ranges) but good things definitely outweigh that!

The store it's self was great but staff on the day we went were either very tired or need to get a job somewhere else.

This PAK'N SAVE Has a really amazing stock lines compared to alot of other pak n saves I've shopped at. And I've shopped at alot of pak n saves over the north island....

Cheaper than countdown, but mind boggling how prices can jump in a few days. Staff are friendly. Fresh produce can be quite poor though.

Constantly frustrated with seemingly common items that were there last time, not there this time. So then, off to Countdown. Don't get me wrong folks, the staff are really great. It's the shop! Did my shop at Pak'nSave, Cameron Rd. Tauranga today. Totally different experience. More space, more choice and guess what? I believe that as a regular at the Rotorua store, the Tauranga branch is actually better value AND has more specials. Why is this so? Cheers, Vic

Came shopping early this morning and Rosie was just amazing. I had wrong trolley. Rosie collected another trolley for me as I was getting x2 fill. She also process the first trolley while I was busy filling the second trolley. Once through check out with x2 trolleys Rosie arranged for another person to help. Super duper service. Thank you so much

Great location! We're from out of town and it was easy to find! The paknsave fuel was right next door. Competitive prices for food/grocery items as well as competitive fuel prices. Plus, when you buy something from them they'll give you 6 cents off the fuel with the receipt.

Clean tidy place w friendly warn helpful staff

Always low prices. Fresh Fruit and Vege section always has quality product available. Store is generally clean with enough checkout staff availble to make sure you don't have to wait long to get your groceries.

I have never had a bad word, it's one of my most favorite places to shop. As we are from wellington and shop at kilbernie, this is by far superior 👌, Wish we had it back home 🏡😪

Its a place to buy groceries, don't expect anything more. The ferals take the disability carparks most days with no consideration for those who pay for their permits

Meat quality and prices are far better than similar stores in Auckland. Petrol prices are on the low end and its a good place to fill up if you're in the CBD.

Paknsave. *Everyone* knows it's a good cheap place to go but everyone also knows, the service you get, there are things left in places they shouldn't and dirty things, however, shopping there is always satisfying when one grabs a good deal during 5 dollar week

Best prices , i save $30 buying there. Good service especially the little lady that does the rotisserie chicken that I regularly purchase. Good job to all staff.

Big big store. Various things available. Best thing is keep an eye on sale so there were a lot of items on sale which is exciting. You'll find everything you need to eat. Great parking area and also restrooms are easily accessible. Kind and polite staff and the items were not very expensive when I visited and we bought a lot of stuff. Quite a busy place so expect slight wait during rush hours. In total great place to buy groceries.

Cheap and no fuss. What you need at a great price! Supermarket was pumping on a Friday afternoon and although the express checkout was a decent wait the staff had smiles aplenty. About time self-checkout came along though!

Very competitive prices, you can stock up on affordable groceries and petrol here too! Remember to retain your receipt for 6c discount off the petrol at Pak n Save itself. We made almost daily trips during our 3 nights in Rotorua, especially for their hot chicken for dinners.

Great deal best prices

The funny thing about pak n save Rotorua is that it doesn't have self checkout lanes. And only two express lanes. So it can take a while to get out of there, which is always my highest priority when I go to Rotorua.

I love this place #1 place to go to for better deals. Staff are absolutely beautiful people! (Not referring to looks) they're kind and approachable!! The deli ladies are absolutely magnificent! Never ever have problems there! Overall fully recommend ♥️

Not many people when we went so made for an easy shop

Each store had its own personality which comes about from the influence that people living in the area have on the operation.This is true of the Rotorua store--it is a far different store to the one I know well--Richmond,Nelson.But it is what the majority of customers in each area want.

Prices are good especially since I'm visiting from Auckland. The staff are definitely great at their jobs! The woman at the expense check out was a delight to talk to. Thank you

Pretty low stock on shelves Abit limited variety but a clean store very clean!

Best place to shop if you're on a budget. Chase the specials. Fruit and veggies are good quality, season permitting. Friendly staff. Apart from some chicken specials, meat department is pricey and has limited choices.

Alright products run out fast

Very spacious and got everything you need. On a lot of occasions the fruit and vegetables section is not as competitive as other stores when it comes to prices, but there are exceptions. Most other things are well presented and priced.

How many times will I be drawn here? The towering towers of crisp packets will always lure me back, like a jovial pub. This is a place of many many things, not all of them food. Some of them... food. I spent many happy hours here, just walking up and down. Up and down, up and down. Incessantly. Looking, looking, looking! And there! That one item! So casually added to the list, but so baffling in it's complexity of categorization with regard to typical supermarket layout. There it is at last! I don't get the ticket system for tills. Just queue up!

There best place for grocery shopping. Instore shopping. Entry through both doors. Scan before you walk in.

Now Pak n Save is a basic supermarket with a wide range of products and well priced. So we'll priced that the place is always busy with people food shopping. Often locals will say that it attracts the poor but those who want to be economical say its the best. So, if you don't mind a bargain... Why not?!

It's where we do our weekly shop. Best Value Supermarket. Friendly & Helpful Staff. All the everyday essentials and a good selection of luxury items as well.

We stayed at Rotoura for 4 days. We visited this place only once. We got fresh vegetables and fruits. The quality was good and they were fresh. It is a large spacious outlet. We could spend anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes to do the shopping. It is a self help outlet. Overall experience was good

The car park has been upgraded, some changes to the store and hopefully self serve checkouts. They weren't there when we lived there, and unsure if there now, as I didn't look when we were there recently, but self serve make things easier. Still one of my favourite stores.

Hate visiting Park and slave.. would prefer a labotomy with a blunt spoon than shopping here. It's the place to go of you want to almost get what you want. Reduced price means reduced range... Also I hate it when big brewery squeeze out the really good beer makers for their brew of soup prices aren't as competitive as they once were.

Not as good as used to be. A lot of goods seem to be deleted. Used to have delicious custard squares but they have gone. Staff in deli don't know their stock. I had my smart phone stolen last time I was there and have stopped shopping there weekly. I do the rounds of New world, countdown and local supermarket not far from where I live

I prefer Countdown as often some items that I eat are cheaper and better organized. However, this Pak and Save was clean and not too busy at the time of my visit. The fruits and veggies were fresh and there was a good selection. The configuration of the store makes it so you need to walk through the meat section to get to the main part of the store. Can be uncomfortable for some people. Cashiers were talking to each other which made it hard for me to ask a question about my receipt...

Clean and tidy. The fruit and veges are so fresh and colorful. A joy to walk in to. Love hearing the stockman humor on the soundsystem. Wonderful staff every where

Typical efficient supermarket

There's something about this place. I don't know what it is... I shop here every week with my family. Every week we're disappointed with the service, cold atmosphere, unhelpful staff, staff that speak about their weekend and conquest and the quality of produce and other fresh goods. Eight times out of ten any special you want will be out of stock and no one will be there to help you. After you've successfully survived the horrors that is to navigate the over crowded isle's with your young family in tow. You must face the semi final boss... The checkout staff and supervisors. Don't expect anything more than a high (if your lucky) and a horrible grimace if you dear think that having beer or wine in your shop. Now I don't blame them. I mean you and everyone else then has to wait for the gate keeper to plod along from their dungeon. My next question is why would you have one keeper of the gate? Especially when you have over 20 checkouts running and almost every one in there with their children wanting that sweet nectar of the gods! Overall PAK'nSAVE you only have my custom because Countdown has even worse customer service... BUT you're get very close.

this is a supermarket where you get stuff pretty cheap compared to its competitors. i use this place for my everyday shopping. it helps saving money. there is ample amount of parking and while shopping i even get the fuel discount voucher so i even save on fuel very often. overall a good place.

Greeting with a smile awsome staff will always go the extra mile at the checkout what ever you've forgotten the check out operator will have one of the staff get it for you and I'm one of those thats done that. Thanks Pac n Save staff.

The new layout being able to cut through to checkouts is helpful. Can have a quick shop or stockpile. Produce is ok. Prices are cheaper or alot cheaper than other supermarkets but on rare the price displayed is not what comes up on the till, same with any other supermarket. Nice checkout people, we have our faves too.

Having to shop here weekling has become a thing I look forward to because it allows you to recycle your bags that you have use months ago. Shopping here was always made easy as it is very organised and the people that work there are always helpful

A regular shopping mall, good prices, various stuff. You can buy almost anything for a long trip around New Zealand. The fast desks are located on the right. Sometimes, they have some stuff with discounts because of date of expiration.

I would consider this to be the cheapest Pac and Save to shop in. Getting more for your buck

Warm friendly helpful staff

If you've been to a PaknSave before you know what to expect. Maybe it's a bit smaller than average or maybe they just have more stuff but if you're in Rotorua this would be the pick of the supermarkets.

Just a quick trip to the Supper Market got what I needed . Could have covid tracers more visible something to draw attention to them.

All competitive if not super-low prices. Sells lots of your typical items ( including tonnes of pre-packed meat) that would keep most shoppers happy but they certainly don't stock everything so you may need to go elsewhere to finish off your weekly shop, especially if you like specific brands. Some of the items are close to their printed use-by dates so check that out when grabbing off the shelf. Nice wide aisles to allow for everyones big trolleys and avoid any traffic jams. You may find yourself in a large queue of overloaded trolleys at peak times. If you have less than 12 items you can go through the express checkouts but I found them even slower than the main checkouts, and that is why they only get 4 stars.

One of the older pak n saves. Very dark, aisles are close together, one of the smaller pak n saves. Has all the basics but for extras I would try one of the other supermarkets. Also doesn't have self serve checkouts. Car parking facility as good as any other supermarkets

Good heaps of good deals on alittle busy but otherwise good service

Great prices - best in town really! Fresh kai. But sometimes its hard to find a staff member to help though. Lines tend to be long as well as waiting times. Checkout staff are always friendly and chirpy. Xmas time always has christmas carrols booming lol

Wide variety of products, comfortable, clean and easy to navigate. Because of its popularity it's quite busy, so queing could take some time. Good shop none the less

Lots of great deals here. The place is huge and very accessible from the main hub, close to restaurants, shops etc. Got everything you need if not all.

Super low offers are usually not low. Many of the billing counters are closed even if it's too crowded and the staff isn't kind, felt like some of them were forced to work here. Has good brand options to choose from though.

We are from India for holiday tour. We are using this store in TAUPO and Rotorua because all type of food items are available here to cook. We like it very much for appropriate price, quality and variety. You may use several digital display board for 'todays special offers' and the rack number for different items for flying customers like us.

Great shop there today. Not too busy. Eveything I wanted for a lunch party was there. Checkout woman was a speed queen. I was in and out really quickly.

Good prices sometimes fresh produce is of poor quality and not well presented, eggs are always broken so have to search through many before getting a pack that has no cracked eggs. Staff are friendly.

Always shop at PnS excellent staff very friendly prefer this shop to any prices usually better than most shops we have to be budget wise as our pension doesn't go far but STICK MAN helps

Other than the weekly shop, PAknSAVE have a few specialist food products, nice place to shop, try to avoid Friday afternoon if possible, that's the time buses or vans arrive full of tourist buying their fill of chocolates and treats.

Well it's me that does the groceries always interesting to see what others put in their trolleys. My husband's grocery shopping only happens when he is off on a hunting trip.

Warehouse prices for groceries. Decent collection of wines and cheeses, also crackers and dips. BYO bags.

Never had any problems. Service is always consistent. The only thing I would comment on are the signs for where things are... I remember via memory, not because the signs for aisles are helpful...

Awesome to be back in Aotearoa and shopping at PaknSave Rotorua. Jaffa Lumps sweet one. Taking some back to Aussie. Great layout. Friendly staff and super helpful. When you live outside of NZ it's lovely to come home and experience warm and friendly staff with a store full of NZ foods you've never seen before and the favourites. Choice guys

Big and decent selection of fresh food. OK prices but remember just because a price has "save!" or "great deal!" attached doesn't make it good value

Needs trolleys with bigger kid spaces as my non mobile 3year old can not fit and legs hav 2 dangle over the bar. 2 small 4 wheelchair trolley and 2 bg 4 th normal trolleys.

Parking was great plenty of space , the prices were reasonable, the ailes were congested at times they aint as wide as taupo pak n save thats maybe the reason why I felt they are not wide enough the variety of food and personal stuff is great as well i enjoy going to pak n save Thanks for the service and the friendly staff at the counter. I once recommended Pam's Finest chocolate chip cookies to a massive group of Chinese tourists in the biscuit aisle at this Pak n Save and they still send me a birthday card every year.

Its the cheapest super market and has a public toilet I won't shop anywhere else plus it has the cheapest fuel and love their fresh fruit and vegetables and all they have to offer.

Check out lady's are always kind & have a smile.. I was kicked out during Covid because I didn't have a trolley.

Vegies and fruits are good. Onsite gas pumps are cheap that rival others without a 6c voucher. Has security onsite. Fully serviced express lanes. Parking, meat and dairy refrigerators renovated. In township. Promotional staff can be offish and pick and choose who to invite. Only one in rural Rotorua.

I shop at PaknSave regularly and find prices very good. However on numerous occasions items on special show on my bill as the original non discounted price. Although pak n save are very good at reimbursing the difference when shown, it is not always possible to return. A few weeks back l bought Red Seal Vit C 1000 mg tabs on special, only to find l was charged full price( a difference of approx $2 )As travelling next day l could not return and have now misplaced receipt. Very annoying and think you should take extra care over this. Otherwise l am satisfied. JeanneRichards

A very big store that sure to have what you want

Popped in on the way through Routaroua was a good little viset but I have to say it dose seem like things cost more further from Auckland. Things we buy on the weekly were defenetly more but only by a little. Likely not only pack and save though.

The Rotorua store is no different to any other PAK'n'SAVE Store in NZ, so you would not expect high end goods just your daily groceries.

Definitely the best prices in Rotorua. Fruit and veges always nice and fresh. My one complaint is that other supermarkets have a better selection of brands

Have shopped at PaknSave since it started as Mark n pack. It has continued to be improved eg the new entrance allowing shoppers to fast track into the main part of the supermarket.

Brilliant super market way better than Countdown. With lower prices everyday you will save more money there than going to Countdown.

Wide selection with good prices and deals. Parking could be better, as many people leave their trolleys out of the trolley bays, a few more days should help with this situation.
