First time shopping here since we moved to hibiscus coast huge place took my time found most products..had to readjust to pricing top of shelf.. veges and fruit were very fresh very pleased with informative service at checkout and asked if I would like a job there. .total to pay very good considering amount we bought!!

A staff ask us to take face mask off to check our ID. We were literally buying some Japanese sake for salmon. We don’t want to catch any virus just from getting groceries, now we have to get ourselves tested if we catch the virus or not. Hope the supermarket can do better about it, thanks.

We were in the store for about 30 minutes from 5pm today and saw about 10 people without masks and no one challenging them. COVID is still very real. Please consider your customers who work with vulnerable people. Thank you

Clean and tidy, easy to find things even though I haven't been in there before. They have tills that take cash in the express lane which is so much better than Wairau

Great value compared to the other supermarkets. Where else can you get 18l of sparkling water for $3.99

Well stocked with standard items and decently priced. Seems to have regular deals on fresh produce, meat and dairy products. Almost always a line at checkout though. If you are after speciality or gourmet food this is not the shop for you.

My daughter was looking for a special wine. Tried my shops. This was the only place to find it. Thanks to the guy at Albany countdown who pointed us in the right direction

What a cornucopia of food !!! Could happily have spent the morning browsing the aisles. Shop well laid out, staff courteous and the hot cross buns are rapidly disappearing now we are back home.

They don't like you taking photos, they sent security to ask who I was working for 😂 Then they asked if Google was paying me and almost wanted to take my phone away.

Best times to go: First thing, between 1 & 3 and just before closing. Still the cheapest but some stock changes mean a trip to Countdown or The Warehouse. Prices on Grocer app help.

Good place to shop, staff are welcoming too

Want shipping done without the crowds, wide aisles and we'll stocked shelves with just about everything you could want from a grocery store. Normally well stocked.

Excellent great variety and value for money

The staff who do the click and collect orders at the Silverdale are unquestionably the best. Today when picking up my order with my under 3 month old who was crying; the staff member who wheeled my order out to me helped me by asking "what can I do to support you?". She then wheeled my groceries to my car and put my groceries into my car while I sorted out my baby. Loveliest most kindest gesture, thank you.

Prices are inflated, store is hard to navigate with the amount of restocking that's constantly happening and there's never enough staff on tills. While it's still (barely) the cheapest supermarket chain, there's a lot of variety of products missing.

Good shop, just watch the entrance way when in jandals. Very slippery when wet

We prefer the Silverdale or Wairau franchise. No longer well managed. Reduced selection, Reduced produce quality. Was great when it was first built. Was always our 1st choice shop. Then something changed. Been poorly managed for years now.

Paknsave is my shopping place every week for low prices, quality in meats, variety, easy parking and lovely staff. Last night I lost my car key and I just wanted to add to the list the prompt help of the security staff Saturday 22nd May at night, I didn't get his name, I'm so thankful, he was very kind and helpful.

A large supermarket where you can buy everything you need. Seafood are always fresh. Great specials. Friendly staff and good customer service. Plenty of parking spaces.

This is one of my favorite supermarkets. Massive selection. Fruit and veg is usually good quality and specials are generally good too. Even their selection of flowers if really good most of the year. They're is a lot of parking but it does get busy.

Big store with a pretty good product range, always busy so can get a little busy. Really worth giving a go, if big stores don't put you off.

Best place to shop affordable prices

Their vegetables don't always look fresh or 1st grade. Need to train you staff better especially when a customer asks for something when the shelf is empty. Take a tip from Whangarei and Taupo and Petones pak n saves. Awesome customer service in all three of those stores.

Very spacious. I don't go to Pak n Save often, if at all. This is new, shiny and well laid out.

Well laid out spacious store with great specials in every isle and friendly service.

These guys are usually pretty friendly and aren't too bad at opening up more tills when the lines start to grow. The special dietary needs (eg gluten or lactose free) areas are pretty thin, as are the vegan and vegetarian options. For example, it would be good if they could get the bigger bags of gluten free pasta as 250g is a bit wee; Tiptop dairy free crave ice cream is a rarity and edamame is in the freezer maybe 1 in 4 shops I make. All in all, not bad.

This Pak n save is definitely better than the Albany one in regard to range of items available as well as product placement in aisles. This one is a lot less crowded too.

Always a good bargain but there is never enough staff at checkouts over the weekends. Also, grocery department frequently leaves stair trolleys in the way of products

A smooth, easy and quick "pop-in shop"! Given these strange Covid times, I was expecting it to take longer and be kinda fraught but staff and fellow shoppers alike were cruisin! Top job, Aucklanders!

Probably one of the best PaknSave stores in the NI in terms of selection and variety across. Note: their pricing is slightly higher across than other PaknSave stores.

Editing my review after the lockdown. What an awesome team. Friendly, communicative. Great team of butchers willing to help, exceptional team of cashiers and management. Much aroha to the essential workers who are keeping us fed.

I loved how they have such good deals and low prices! They surely have achieved their goal! Just watch out for the quality for the foods being delivered during lockdown, the crackers were in pieces. Just be aware of that.

Cheapest place to scam 11 year olds

Nice place to shop and definitely better than other place around. However, I saw Pak'nSave glenfield is having their trolleys sanitized every week. I wonder if you would do the same. This is kind of thing that you could help the community safe!!!

Always good for bargains. Great friendly staff. They don't always have every item on my shopping list, and packing your own groceries is a minor thing. This day there were plenty of boxes for grocery packing, but, in my experience, boxes are scarce, so bring your own or bring shopping bags. Parking spaces are plentiful including disabled spaces. NB: Please remember, it is an offence to park in a disabled parking space without a current disability parking pass displayed & those that do have the right to park in these spaces have PAID, as well as their need. 🙂

Great cheap variety here.

This is my usual supermarket. A good range although some things gave changed recently on the product line that I'm not keen on. However meat is always high class!

Always great prices. Countdown's 'Specials' are Pak n Save's everyday prices. Good selection of products also.

My Favourite Pac N Save is in Silverdale shelves always well stocked very clean and most friendly helpful staff, plenty of parking your able to buy petrol in that car park liked to have seen that you could buy a cup of coffee right next to were you able to buy a lotto ticket at the entry of one of the main door

Usually shop in count down and was heading to North short so decided to call in to get my grocerys. Got lots for my money good value.

Well stocked even though it was really busy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Shopping at paknsave was good with well stocked shelves. The problems come when it is time to pay as three quarters of the tills are closed, which had a knock on effect of fairly longish queues. This was at 11.30 am today, Monday 16 March. Tellers which were serving were run off their feet

Shame they have removed the handy mechanisms at the checkout so you can keep your floppy fabric bags open. I know we got to have our own baggies. Fair enough, but do they have to make it really, really hard to use them?

Expensive compared to Aldi Oz and Coles and where are the bulk flour, etc, large containers of olive oil and arabica coffee beans? Bakery very unimaginative and mediocre range of wine that never changes. Good seafood section but invisible butcher with limited selection. Deli very average and produce overly pricey and limited range of potatoes, etc. Still soundly beats Countdown and less expensive than New World but neither of those are tough to do. Hopefully Costco shakes things up and we desperately need an Aldi to bring prices down through real competition.

Very well stocked during this lockdown, even during the time when one of the local supermarket was closed.

Great prices compared to other foodstores. The store has an almost ruff and ready look with the open shelving. It ofcourse saves money on frills and passes the savings onto the consumer. The product range is decent for a store that buys in bulk. The store was well laid out and well organized.

Just wish they would improve their self checkout machines - always seem to have to get the supervisor over as the machine doesn't recognise the last item listed when placed in own bag. Its a pain and defeats the purpose of using the 'quick' self checkout.

Good that they were following level 3 guidelines Ifeel safer there than other supermarkets. It's the best supermarket around. I think the best Pakn Save in Auckland.

Great place to shop. Good wine prices. Lots of other specials that you don't get at other Pak n saves. Only problem there is no designated place to park our motorhome. There is still available places to park at this point of time. Cheers

Very big and supplyed well

One of the best supermarkets I have been too fir price and variety. Not surprisingly always very busy.

Fantastic job Pak n Save Silverdale! Very organised. The queue may have been 7 or so car lengths at 7:45 Sunday morning but it was well organised & calm. Inside shelves & fridges well stocked (except flour of course lol). Careful number of customers inside so felt safe. Staff were wonderful. You are all doing a fabulous job, and I for one so appreciate you. X

Sunday lunch with my sis who is over from UK. Also 2 of my daughters and their kids. Mostly enjoyable, garden for the kids. Everyone bar 1 happy with their meal. Lamb salad, good size salad, but only 3 tiny chops.

Couldn't take my own bags in and had to leave them at entrance which meant having to push trolley back to entrance afterwards to fetch them in the rain. Did not have all the products I was looking for. Had to pack boot of car with groceries in the rain. Ridiculous concept!

Stupid long line to wait a for checkout , no direct instructions on where the line goes several lengths stretching along 2 isles I finally found the end

Always good value and decent range of vegan products but some key branded products tend to get dropped which are cheaper but just not as tasty. Sometimes quality counts. Luckily other PNSav store keep some of those key brands.

Awesome fresh produce, awesome prices! But don't shop 5pm Saturday 😁might take a bit longer.....

They have ocean 🌊 blue Calypso lemonade and I highly recommend 💙💙💙

Great location and tons of parking. There were items that I could not find at other Pak'nSave stores around Auckland which was great.

The fruit and veges are always fresh and great quality, as is all the fresh fish, meat and deli food. Also love the large variety of great bulk bin items. In my view, the best supermarket in the HBC.

Starting to carry more meat and dairy alternatives. Also grain free pet foods. Prices are astonishingly less than the other two large supermarkets. Consistency of products available is getting better but still unpredictable.

Shout out. Just want to say a big thank you to the trolley boys on Saturday. Came back to my car to find I had left my lights on and battery was dead. I spoke to the boys and they happily pushed my car back to allow for a friend to jump start me! Thanks guys!

Nice and clean, meat week so great deals! Printer wouldn't print my till slip properly, so I gave up waiting. Fruit and vegetables looked good too!

Store has stand alone displays mid way through aisles. This tends to cause a mid point bottleneck with cross through foot traffic. Otherwise okay. Do prefer Albany store..much better layout

Love pak n save. Cheap, easy, simple. Not too fancy, does it's job and does it well. Just a heads up, inventory at each branch differ to the next pak n save branch, this also goes for prices. So you may not get your favorite cheese for the same price at other branches.

pak n dav silverdale is pretty good for the area as it offers lower priced shopping for the coast. only thing that actually really annoys the heck out of me is the way the trolleys are stacked, completely different to any and all other supermarkets

One of the better Pak'nSAVEs I've been to in NZ, which makes sense given the area. Definitely catering more to the wealthy white crowd. This P&S is so fancy it even has people to help you pack your shopping at the till, but I have to say she did the worst packing job I've ever seen. Literally put cans on top of fragile groceries. Jesus wept.

This is a huge shop. smartly presented with a bakery that is well worth the drive. When you visit there, you will not be disappointed. Yes! you will receive your fuel discount voucher with your purchase at well.

Prices good, meat in too big packets, Janet at check out could not pack well, petrol voucher no use as usually price about 16cents higher than Albany with AA card. so unless 20cents discount not worth the effort

Dont like it much only go when in hurry the fish department needs a bloody good overhaul always smells and its not just because its fish plus shop itself is always dirty looking, pak and save in albany is so much cleaner and inviting prefer that one to wairau rd.

I normally go to Albany store but today I tried the Silverdale store. Pricewise it is very comparable to Albany and keeps a few different varieties of the products I usually shop. Highly recommended

My supermarket of choice. Its a large supermarket and what l appreciate most is the fresh butchery , fresh delicatessen, and fresh bakery. Most of the time its easy to park my 7 meter motorhome to stock up.

Very busy pack in save loads of people shop on Saturday morning. But great service.

I'm in a hurry and can't find a wattles butter chick sauce however the butchery employee jumped into the perfect customer service experience. . He showed me personally how to find the product. . Happy happy happy

Typical Pak-N-Save selection but none of the staff seemed happy. No one smiling as in opposition stores. Don't know why, maybe just a once off occasion.

Really like this paknsave. Spacious, clean and friendly staff. Plus they used to stock the ice cream that had my artwork on the lid..Chateau brand.

Nice modern store, very big but still very easy to find your way around, good wine and beer department, big car park and a on site gas station, easy access to the motorways and the coast.

I think that pak,nsave Silverdale needs more Staff for night full shift because it is not looking very good in shop

A great place for groceries, but the piped music is the pits!!! Where's Elvis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash etc.? Music most people know. And how about direction arrows in the aisles? People will observe traffic lanes.

Actually loved this shop, heaps of parking, convenient lotto and bargains at the front.

The young fellow actually and finally put my stuff in the box instead of refusing to.. well done, it's nonsense policy they can't... I don't give 5 star often.

A really cool Pak'nSave! Well laid out store, well stocked. Often have products other Pak'n'Save's don't. These guys stock a sizeable international section too. So you can try some treats from the UK/Japan/US! Good beer and wine selection for a chain market too!

This Pak'nSave offers cheap price, great variety, good produce and good quality. Clean, well organized, spacious with ample parking. Toilet facilities available.

Parking is expansive and easy to find a park on most days, wide range of products and helpful staff

We think this is the best P'nS North of Auckland. Decent verity of brands, prices are good, meat and produce are always fresh, aisles are wide, staff friendly and willing to help. We are living near Glenfield and are rather traveling an extra 10min going up to Silverdale than shopping at either the Wairau or Albany branches.

I'm from South Africa visiting my kids in Snells Beach . They always do their shopping at PACKnSAVE. I can't wait too...it's always a pleasure and I can afford the prices. Thanks!!

Pretty good, lots of parking hard to get into because of the busy road, open store a little dark in some areas.

Plenty of room in aisles. High quality fridges for produce. Cheap prices. Fresh deli and baking goods. Cheap prices. And eco friendly.

Good way to give the car (diesel) a good run, from Takapuna, North Shore... as regular short trips can clog the DPF. I tend to visit at least once a month.

i have just undone my gift basket won as a raffle - thank you so much Hibiscus Plunket - and wish to rave about the lovely and different range of goodies in the basket - ranging from the basic (shapes) to the sublime (washing machine cleaner - liquid) so thank you Pakn Save Silverdale for the foresight and interestingness of your gift biscuits

Always a high standard of service and great range of food.

Even though Pak'nSave is about 40 k's away from where I live it still works out to be far cheaper shopping there then the supermarket that are only 5 minutes down the road from where I live, going there saves me about $100 a week, new world and countdown are a total ripoff.

I can't buy chicken hearts at Pak n Save, Albany, so I shop at Pak n Save Silverdale, so I can buy some. I noticed today the Silverdale branch had chicken breasts at $9.99 per kg, whereas Albany was selling at $12.99kg as a low price.

Great place for big shops and to get good discounts and food. The food is amazing here and so are the prices.

Good old silverdale pak'n'save! It's got great selection and is usually not packed to the rafters like Albany (which is a drama to get in and out of at times). Love the silverdale branch!

Huge selection of groceries. Also fish and meat. And an amazing selection beer and wines...they compliment the enormous array of snacks, cheeses, olives, crisps, dips, gerkens, pates, etc.

Staff awesome. So friendly whenever I go. Everything easy to find, shelves always stocked well. Thank you to the staff.

This is my favourite Pak'nSAVE in New Zealand so far. As we know, Pak'nSAVE is known for low prices. What I like about this one is that it has some really high-end items at really good prices that I don't find at other Pak'nSAVE stores. E.g., as of the writing of this review, they have a range of Ceres Organics items for really good prices.

It's consistent with the usual branding but has no under-cover parking.

Nice place to shop for groceries. Our favourite is the liqourice all sorts in the pick a mix section.....tastes like the South African brand.

Good variety and staff. But does get annoying when they suddenly stop selling something you buy every week.

Good choice of organic food fruit/vegetables and plenty of tinned and dry food. The specialty bread is excellent the German rye is the best.

Easy access convenient pak n save. Has 2 public toilets inside before the entrance.

Great supermarket, well priced food, lots of parking, fuel station on-site, good access from the main road and not far from the northern motorway.

Prices ok range ok a little dearer than Albany P&S but a lot better than anything else in the Orewa Silverdale area like Countdown or New World.

When busy it's quite crowded. Not the best place for a quick shop but it does have a wide range of food brands.

Much cheaper than new world

Not good enough signage to find things quickly but they appear to have everything at prices that are about the same or a little bit cheaper than else where. Then you have to find boxes or pay for bags.

Just done my first Click n Collect, so easy and everything so well picked and packed, will be back next week.

One of the better PAK'n'Saves out there, great pricing and friendly staff, very good selection of foods, we made it our preffered family shopping location.

It's cheap and got all the essential items but I've noticed some of the Pam's products are disappearing like pam choco and the Pam's chocolate chip cookies
