Well laid out store. Very hard to find a staff member to assist me. Eventually found someone and they were very helpful & apologized that other staff were busy elsewhere. Excellent prices. Good stock range. Christina 🌹

Heaps of parking, Shelves are full, aisles are wide, and they have pretty much everything you need, our checkout operator was patient and lovely when I made .an eftpos error 😆👎 😑 embarrassing much 😳 Thanks again pak n save Taupo for great value and selection 😊 😃

Good busy store in central Taupo. Typical Pak n Save format and cheapest supermarket shopping. It is overly crowded with on-floor aisle displays, which increased customer traffic congestion in places.

Not a bad place only thing i could add is if supervisor instead of yelling at workers in store save it for your team meetings or pull that worker aside and talk to them 1 on 1 don't do it in front of customers i felt sorry for the couple of guys getting talked to loudly by the lady with the long black hair and glasses treat them how you want to be treated

On a cheeky little get away with my partner, we were going for the ol’ pre cooked chicken, coleslaw and bread rolls. Walked in to the smell and sight of fresh chicken being stacked in the heater. Grabbed some sour squirms and bananas to top it up ten out of ten pak’n’save

Fabulous supermarket. Excellent meat department they must have great butchers and prices are very good too. The same could be said for the seafood counter very good selection, helpful staff, like all the department in the store very affordable prices which has a lot of appeal for those of us on a budget. Worth a visit!

Did my usual shop this week. As per usual, the staff are wonderful, but I was quite shocked at the increase in prices on some items. Also dismayed that I couldn't find some of my usual items. Have been told they can't get them anymore. Strange??

Come here to buy a power glue to fix my eyeglasses and found out that this place is full of shoppers in the late morning. The crowded branch in my opinion, I think.

Good lay out.staff are pleasant.but the car park Is another thing. People came in with big motorhomes an have there vehicles sticking out, people also come in with trailers an boats Very inconsiderate they are. We have alot of places you can park these big items outside in our streets, an a short walk to pack n save taupo.

They have dropped a large amount of products which I found frustrating. I feel that options are limited compared to a few years ago so it is either a different brand which is cheaper and may not be your favorite or way more expensive. Fruit and vege quality can be a bit inconsistent. Have started doing a monthy woolworths shop to cover the items I can't get at pak n save.

This is the perfect option for travelers and generally for people who want to save money. You can get away with spending very little money for your groceries here, especially if you are a little bit flexible in what you're buying, going for the cheaper alternatives sometimes. There are great deals here and the prices feel generally lower than at other places. And they have a huge selection. (Also in my opinion they have the best fresh muffins by taste and value) Can recommend.

Nice clean store layout and I love the cut through from produce to grocery to save time when in a hurry. Lots of self check-outs and generally plenty of staff on so you can get through quickly. Not Taupo gets really busy on the holidays and during events so you need to be patient as the queues get big sometimes. Good range and selection. Easily the better supermarket in town for price, selection and layout.

Great place to get get all your groceries and food for the week. Can be cheaper than other places and have a very wide range of goods. there are self checkouts as well as normal ones so you can nip in and out if you don't have too much time.

Very cheap but quality can reflect price. The store is overall good but some of the cheaper items you get what you pay for. Is very much a bulk buy store with the unplolished look and feel about it. If you are after great prices this is the place to go. If you are after huge rang and better quality home brand products less so. An added bonus is the main stream products are also cheap but the real savings are in the no name brands but this is where the quality faulters.

Great products..great prices..poor service, particularly at self service check out area..blank faced impatience by two different women, on two different occasions. Tho the folk on check out are so good..we are new to PaknSave having shopped for the last 20 years at countdown and are really unsure about, wait in long checkout queue, or run the game of rudeness by the folk who are meant to help. Or go back to Countdown..

Online shopping with Pak n Save Taupo it seems is an opportunity for them to get rid of damaged stock and average fresh produce. I did get a phone call and apology from the store and they were genuinely concerned that as they don't want online shoppers to a have bad experience. So online shopping turned out ok in the end. They also take alternative brands product off the shelves when they want to force you to buy a certain brand product. But they do have good stock variety and staff are helpful.

I was here Sunday morning 9.45am. Fantastic time of day to go shopping - easy to get a park and very few people shopping. The fruit & veg were mostly fresh. Good variety of cheeses, salads & cold processed meats all at reasonable prices. I found Zenzo yoghurt cheaper than in Wellington. I was unable to find dry brown lentils so had to get tinned. Couldn't find sunflower seeds but did find a range of snacking nuts at the end of the shampoo aisle! Their gluten free & vegan range is very limited when it comes to biscuits, breadcrumbs but they do have the whole range of vegan & vegetarian sausages & burgers. I found their service at the checkout a wonderful experience & their floor staff that were stacking the shelves were generally helpful

Pak N Slave is the best, good prices all the time and you have to Pack your own bags at the Progressive stores nowadays anyways whilst at Pak n Slave you get free boxes that you can recycle so you're not stuck with a hundred of those dollar bags. Win win in my opinion

Pak'n'Save is New Zealand's cheaper supermarket owned by foodstuffs. The quality of the product here is fine. The service on the other hand is a different experience. Store is not particularly well presented and is not always clean. Still some of the product is well priced but not all.

Big and cheap! We tend to keep our eyes out for Pak'nSave when we travel in NZ, they generally have the lowest prices! Don't forget your reusable bags :) although they sometimes have cardboard boxes to pack your things in too!

Wow i love it..New Zealand's lowest food prices are now also available online! You can now do your grocery shopping wherever you are and whenever it suits you, from your computer, smartphone or tablet. Just go online, place your order and swing past to collect your groceries from the lockers at the store.

International grocery shopping was an amazing experience there’s a turnstile as you walk in wasn’t sure how that would work pushing a buggy. But it worked we got into the store. The foods are somewhat the same although different packaging compared to what’s in America. The plethora of different fruits and veggies smushed next to a candy bar, and small meat section blew my mind. The seafood is incredibly fresh and smelled a little fishy, I learned minced beef is what Americans call ground beef. The eggs were not refrigerated and cheeses were outside of refrigerated sources. The store was a bit difficult to navigate things that the aisle says it has were clearly mismarked and would be in other aisles. The check out process was a bit confusing as they don’t have plastic bags but boxes you can pack your things in. The things that didn’t have scanning labels there was a slight learning curve in navigating finding the correct item as they have different names for veggies and fruits. The also don’t care if you wear shoes or not. In America shoes and shirts are require or no service. Clearly New Zealanders are super laid back 😉. Would recommend in the sense every person needs the experience of an international grocery trip and seeing how different foods are but how they are the same in retrospect.

Lots of impulse buy junk food at the entrance and exit which could be changed. Really crowded most of the time and you get charged 10 cents per plastic bag you use. There aren't enough boxes for groceries so you have to buy a bag.
