Handy local grocery store. Unfortunately no competition, don't carry stock or specials of any other Tauranga Countdown. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS, 50% of the time they are wrong.

I just turned up at 8:50pm for a bottle of milk and the front door was locked! Its a small store that doesn't have the range that the bigger stores do, but easier to find the common items and usually very handy for the local community.

Well, I live close by and its a great convenience store to pick up things on the way home if it's basics plus. Doesnt have a bakery but you can get cooked chicken, lettuce, tomato & breads for a quick dinner. Also wine, though good quality reds are very much lacking.

Very very small countdown store, but great for locals to grab essentials. Friendly staff. No deli, bakery etc, but they get things delivered from other stores. Don't expect a wide variety, but if you basic necessities or want junk food essentials, it will definitely meet your needs.

I shop regularly here because it's within walking distance and has the main CD specials etc. But the main thing is the friendly and helpful store and checkout staff. They make such a difference. I don't like the big Fraser Cove CD since the renovations and I refuse to use the self service automated checkouts. Your staff are your biggest asset.

Feels more like a four square than part of the countdown supermarket chain...bit of a tidy up around the back and carpark wouldn't go a miss to make it feel a bit less that it wasnt in an episode of The Walking Dead....

Staff were nice a smaller shop with no toilet or hand washing facilities till aftere the checkouts I had to leave the shop drive 4 blocked to the public toilet with no water or sanitation facilities till I was thru the check out not a very hygienic situation I will be looking elsewhere next time

Hence I often pop in to countdown greerton because I know the layout very well and I like the friendlyness of the staff Plus I like to support my local businesses and help them to Stay Afloat in the face of stiff competition from the big boys

Smallest one in Tauranga, but you can still find the basic necessities. Parking is ample, with on and off-street spots. Be prepared to have a bit of a wait to get back on Cameron Rd. during rush hour.
