Great customer service experience. Very catchy display especially for fresh produce aisles. They delivered their promises for providing the fresh produce with reasonable prices.

There is such a good choice of food and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Like the gluten free section towards the back of the store. Though they need more room by the express checkout, I would take out the wine/food display shelves and move around the corner.

I've been getting all my groceries delivered since having a baby and I have to say that the new world delivery service is absolutely outstanding!! I used to order with Countdown but their stock was lackluster, I always had things missing or wrong items in the bag, they would stack my groceries against the door so I couldn't open it, and their delivery times were always so late. New World is on time, almost always has every single item, they put the groceries BESIDE the door so I can access and their staff are so friendly! Also today my baby was sleeping on me so I couldn't get up but my dog stood at the window and the delivery driver smiled and waved at her before leaving which absolutely warmed my heart. Outstanding service. Thank you!

The staff are always friendly, cheerful & very helpful. Although it is my closest supermarket I shop here mainly because it is 100% Kiwi owned.

I use this store for most of my groceries. It's convenient, the staff are friendly and helpful and they pack your grocery bag. Something the others never do or stopped doing since Covid came to town. The vege section always looks fresh. The 1 negative would be the hand cleanser near the live mussels is always empty or not working so I have to smile at sign because I can't comply and pick my product selectively. At least there's a paper towel roll to use to wipe after. 👍

The checkout operator with an accent had a bit of an attitude with me. Not sure if this was a Monday morning thing but definitely something to work on. Otherwise I enjoy shopping here, good specials and tidy store.

I am a regular at the gate pa New World. When I enter I get hellos from the workers. When I go pay fr my goods I'm recognized by the lady who always smiles with a polite hello. We pass a joke and hav a little giggle and away I go. Sometimes after hard days work, these soft smiles and warm hellos just make my day... keep it up New World...

Dont live anywhere near anymore, but still my supermarket of choice. Like the layout, always well stocked, and staff cheerful and helpful. If I plan ahead can still do full shop there and get my frozens home

Excellent service at the check out with staff packing bags and always friendly. Staff are all very helpful and Mark G is a star! Very impressed how the management handled the Covid crisis. Because of this and better service at the counter l changed from shopping at Countdown.

Always immaculate and well presented. I'd also rate New World Gate pa 5 stars for consistent customer service. Your not going to believe this next part, Friday afternoon, 4th December 2020. A young male staff member took my basket when I'd finished unpacking my goods! Not only does nobody do that, it was a teenage boy! Very impressed before that and my most recent experience was pretty impressive. I do hope the young teenage boy see this. You"ve done your company proud. ...its the little things that keep people coming back. By the way, there is always easy parking. I drive a large car with a terrible steering lock and have no issues getting in and out of parks. There is always enough staff on so you rarely have queues at the checkout. I've moved from the area but if I'm in Tauranga, I stop in, on the way for daily supply's because its much more convenient than other supermarkets.

This super shop is honestly my very very favourite and i commend them all heartily. The bakery is by far best in the bay, the deli too. Unusual but fabulous olives, cheeses and frozens which honestly leave others for dead. His competition and opposition is very heavy and i feel sorry for him.. PLEASE APPRECIATE HIM WITH BIGGER SUPPORT PEOPLE. HE DEFINITELY DESERVES.

Lovely clean deli with amazing food and extremely helpful staff in aisles and checkouts. Only thing I can fault is, as the helpful staff member explained, they don’t sell all ranges as other people have mentioned. I was looking for Griffins Dundee biscuits on special as advertised, she said they don’t sell them and it all depends on cliental demand? In my experience most plain biscuits lovers enjoy a Griffins Dundee which have been around a long time. Also they don’t sell Sanitarium Weeties (used to be called Kornies), only a few New World sell them, a New World we found in Auckland stocks them and also New World Mt Maunganui.

Today, 7th August I went shopping at the deli in the Gate Pa store and received outstanding service by Sandy. What the customer service representative Sandy did, was what I would like all deli staff to do at any store. I requested 3 slices of glazed champagne leg ham.. It was what she did next that impresssed me enough to relay my experience. She lifted the top 3 slices and gave me the next three down...doesn’t sound like a much thing to happen but in my eyes she went the extra mile to make me a return customer. Nice supermarket and reasonable prices, like most of the bigger supermarkets some things are cheaper than others and other things more expensive so really the big supermarkets balance each other out by the time you get to the checkout. My only problem here is when the staff just push there way in between customers to stock the shelves without any attempt to say excuse me, only two words that mean so much, but seems to happen a lot at this branch and they still take no notice when you say as a joke ( that’s ok I don’t mind you stepping in front of me) it’s like they are off in their own little world somewhere. Training really needed in this area, quickly.

😊Last week 27th..28th and 29th..while I was staying at the Cameron,Thermal Motel... I shopped for a few supplies in your store.. ..Sat..morning ..I purchased 3 filled ham rolls and again Sunday morning to eat on our road trip home to the Far North of NZ..I would like you to know ..they not only looked stunning but were absolutely perfect in every way...Your entire Delicatessent Department..was spotless and visually presented to perfection..Both days I was served by two young women...who were very happy to package and wrap..my rolls suitable for a picnic and travel.. I was so impressed..prompting me to feed back to you .my first time experience to your store...warm regards Mrs Salamasina Bamber..🌺

Late at night, just arrived in Tauranga. Received excellent service with wry humour from the lass at the delicatessen who helped us with hot chicken and salads for our late tea.

Convenient shopping, well situated. Ample parking. Store is always clean. Reasonable prices & friendly staff. I really appreciate the self-service or express lanes when doing top-up shops.

Very neat and tidy. The guy at meat section was very helpful. We wanted lamb shoulder to be thinly sliced and he did it so joyfully and laid out on the tray. Checkout operator's very friendly too.

Shop here every day recently picked up a gift basket from New World for my daughter who is in hospital with a complicated pregnancy it was awesome heaps of treats and my daughter felt cheered. New World Gate Pa does these special things to give back to their community and in the hopes they will help somebody, got my vote and the staff are awesome.
