Always keen to shop Here, great prices and clean and tidy aisles, well stocked. Parking can be a hassle but overall still a good supermarket 🙃

Our go to Supermarket in Timaru. Nice and big, well stocked. Make sure you go to the deli/bakery area and grab some of their donuts!

Very good but with the use of the new scanner's will that just be a way of getting rid of the really good check out staff. At present the help at the new check outs is really helpful and the staff at these places are again very helpful and their attitude is a credit to the store well done. I will be waiting to see if this is going to be like other companies as a means to cut staff I hope not.

low prices and great range of products, but the customer service is a bit average. got completely ignored by one of the workers, i just wanted to ask where the rubbish bags were

Loved it quick and easy I'm touring down here and I'm from Canada, I noticed this little signage there today made me and the wife chuckle!

The shop and go sign and staff amazing however the self serve woman could have done with some customer service. First time using shop n go pulled up at self service instead of shop n go, ask if was in right place she points to big sign hanging from roof stating " signs up there in middle" my 13 year stated how rude!! Again shop n go staff entry and exit perfect!

Good like the self scanning system, quicker to get out.

Usually great deals @ Pak n Saves in the South, & better quality fruit & veg & (sometimes) meat. Really helpful staff at Timaru Store.

Super kind staff that went above and beyond to help me out, from finding items to cleaning up a spill I made! Haha!! Sorry team...but they are all top-notch. Far better service and attentiveness than you would expect from a large supermarket. Thank you.

Generally I quite like Pak n save Timaru, staff are friendly, product is good. I recently used their shop and go, and got to the end and unbeknown to me it incorrectly scanned a box of tissues, which was picked up in their random audit. Staff made me feel like I was trying to shop lift, embarrassing. When I told her I was sure I scanned it she said, it was the first thing, I found, (it was the only thing and it wasn’t hiding) Then they eventually told me that they sometimes pick up a ?que code instead of the bar code. I’ve shopped there for years, spent thousands, I have Christmas club account with hundreds in it. Didn’t feel that I wanted to go back. Instead I shared my experience with the manager, when I next went the staff were superb, friendly and my experience was much improved. I have lost permanent confidence in the shop and go, however I believe they have the processes in place to deal with my issues.

Best supermarket because it's the cheapest, has great fruit, veges & meat and it's NZ owned.

Large clean and tidy store.

I always come here to buy meats, I love to braai. I tried their self-made chicken (looks like kFC at the back where ready-to-go foods are) but didn't like the taste, but they didn't have a deep-fried lasagne slice that was awesome, because it was to easy to eat in a car. They have the best cream buns, with real whip cream, not fake funny tasting cream. Their staff all seemed tired and angry that night, the lady at the counter didn't want to smile back despite of all my attempts, but it could be an off day. We all have those.

Good specials. For $2*00 week shop well stocked on busy day one complaint found one staff member on self service i was treated like a child when thing were not scanning right and found her rude. Yes it was busy but no need for rudeness

Pack and save are my favourite shop. I do all my shopping and my mother's , she is 90years old. The staff are always very helpful. I am so glad that they are so close to me.

For me Pak'nSAVE is a place to be for getting our groceries. I find it easy to go around and its clean. They have veggies, fruits, meat, deli products, breads, cakes, beer, wine, cider and almost everything you need. You can also choose whatever you want as they got variety of everything. Some Asian products are available too. They also got some brands that are very budget friendly. Every week they got different stuff on special, which saves you money.

One of the better pack and saves around. Surprisingly good selection, excellent fish and deli and very friendly staff. Our supermarket of choice for day to day groceries though we find we have to go to New world for less common items

Staff were great. Couldn't ask for better Parking with immobility window card not at all good. It's Time cars not displaying card in window were dealt to or perhaps they could walk a mile in my shoes

Nice friendly staff, big wide aisles, heaps of choice in every section aswell as plenty of international food and gluten free and vegan options. Heaps of checkouts, fairly priced.

Wide range of easily found stock, reasonably priced, frequent specials that are well marked, sticky club specials giving petrol discounts at their self serve pumps, and you don't have to wait for someone's coffee to be made before you are served. What else do you want in a supermarket?

Massive supermarket attached to a small mall. Ample parking. The isles were wide, lots of trolleys. The self checkous were well staffed so help was close by. Great specials.

It's a Pak n save. Can't say too much. Good good for getting groceries. Good amount of car parking. Excess amount of check outs so you don't have to wait long. Also has a lot of self check out bays

Convenient place to stop by to buy some stuff whilst you're in the middle of your travel to Oamaru or Dunedin.

Shop n go soooooo convenient

They have all the groceries you need at a good price. They are somewhat similar to Costco, but you don't need to buy in bulk or have a membership.

Timaru Pak n Save have a lovely set up. Their staff endeavour to give customers a pleasant experience and work very hard and deserve respect from customers. I've seen some rude customers in there from first hand experience and I take my hat off to the staff who work in Pakkies because it isn't as easy as people say it is whether if it's self checkout staff standing there or produce staff stacking fruit for example. Keep up the good work to all you staff on the ground who do the hard yards. You guys keep the ball rolling and I'm proud of you all.

This Supermarket is well laid out, well stocked and staffed by helpful people. The fact that it's ample carpark has few spare spaces at any time attests to its popularity

I at 24/12/2019 travelling via Chch to DN. Asked for a box Ter place me groceries. Four staff (& other) were very friendly. I would like to commend Sophia, whom spoke of her love for her job. I'm very impressed. It shows too! WOW!

Great big store. Fantastic selection of everything. Can recommend for a big shopping spree on groceries.

Easy to park. Extensive variety of groceries at reasonable prices. Checkouts well manned so less shoppers in queues. Self checkout available for fast exit.

Once inside everything was fine. It's outside that's the problem. When it's raining the carpark literally floods. Shoppers get soaked. The wonderful men who are outside collecting trolleys from trolley bays are getting soaked. Timaru PakNSave needs a underground carpark like Invercargill has.

Pak n save has picked up a bit since the last time I was in there a few years ago. Good prices, friendly checkout operator and the whole space feels brighter and a more pleasant shop.

PaknSave's appeal is simple... entirely straightforward - if not obvious: No frills shopping for greatest cost savings overall. There are therefore all the tradeoffs... virtually everything imaginable is traded to provide least pain and payment at the checkout lane. Including the equivalent of TRAFFIC WARDENS who refuse your entrance to the shop the quickest way in that you'd like to take... depending on your point of entrance in the Northtown Mall of Timaru. This is distinctly UNcharming behaviour. Still, for what they genuinely and consistently supply... best savings to be found overall virtually anywhere... it can all be overlooked if you are a budget minded shopper. Even with all those tradeoffs... I am very glad Timaru has this store. Saving money these days for most of us ...needs as many stores like PaknSave as possible.

In town for a couple of days, called in for things required, clean store and helpful staff 👍

It's ok but I got used with pack n save to close at 10 and this one closes at 9pm

Very good. Took awhile to find my way around as large store and it's not my usual store nor town I live in. Although I did find what I were looking for.

Wow a big spacious pak n save. Loved it. Plenty of parking and a petrol station on site. Great prices. Abit overwhelming when u are used to a smalltown countdown. Worth a visit.

Lowest priced supermarket in Timaru. Always seems well stocked. Sticky cafe, petrol pumps, post shop and ATMs are all in close proximity.

No ev charger here. Toilet is unpleasant. Car park is redesigned,but too small. Food is cheaper than most other places.

Trolley bays are sadly lacking.People are leaving trolleys anywhere without consideration for other peoples cars.As my own car was left with 2 big scratches on the door without a note from person responsible.Trolley collection is sadly lacking as well.Inside staff are always friendly.Well done ladies.

This paknsave is a lot better to the same shop up in Auckland.WOW

The Sticky Cafe has 5 star service and food

Timaru PAK'nSAVE is starting to look slick now with the extensions and adding another idle each end of shop and most of the gluten free items are in there own section now but you still having to get into the store via the fruits and vegetables section

Everything is in order. Great staff, best prices. Would have given it 5 stars but the range of products isn't the best.

Have not shopped here for 3 months but could not believe how much their prices have gone up. It is strange that prices in their Hornby shop are so different.

Cheapest groceries around and helpful staff

Good products availability. Checkout staffs are tricky and they are not doing the job perfectly. Use self checkout.

Very helpful staff. Particularly the young man who went out the back and dug out a box of ginger beer for us, and the man in the deli who sorted me out the biggest sausage roll

New layout well designed and much easier to find stuff. More windows make shopping more pleasurable.

Don't get the food they make on site such as the crispy chicken on rice and the sammys... bad experiences more than once. Anything else is nice though
