I love how big it is. Means more options, and are usually better than the smaller ones. Staff are really nice too. Toilet are cleaned good.

New World Wanaka is the best grocery store in town. They have a huge selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, prepared foods, etc. They also have tons of cleaning supplies, various gear, whatnot. The Four Square on the other side of town is nice, but much smaller and more limited. We enjoyed their roast chicken and a fresh afghan biscuit.

Easy shopping, The previous owner sold it and built the "new" New World in Wanaka. Keep up the good service. Being in centre of town it's easy parking too. This one is the best.

Probably the biggest grocery store in Wanaka. Plenty of free parking in front of store. Good selection of products and place very clean and tidy. Prices seemed dearer but presume transport costs and tourist town causes this.

Deli 'Made in Store' dinners.... Wow so tasty and healthy. Priced @ $7.99 worth every cent. We chose both the Teriyaki Chicken Noodle and Prawn Fried Rice and both were equally Yummy. If we are ever back in Wanaka we would Buy again..... Keep up the TASTY work....... :)

A good supermarket. Because of the slightly small size of the store, it's usually pretty crammed with people. Best to go when it is not peak time. Nevertheless, a good store with everything you need for an easy meal, etc.

My regular when I was in Wanaka for a week - lovely staff - a real joy to go shopping there and they had TV dinners which I used instead of going out to expensive restaurants - they were awesome. Very surprised. And Bird Feeder for the birds out in the trees - yes that is definitely what I wanted to get the birds to come for me to photograph. Really did like it there mostly for the service! Happy Staff.

This is a supermarket. Seemed to have a lot of things. Make sure you join their loyalty program before you shop because the specials are for members only -you can join in store. There is nothing outstandingly good nor anything abhorrent, just a good above average supermarket.

Not as nice as the other new worlds in the larger cities, but that probably is to be expected. This one felt a little tight and less clean, presentable, and special than the others, however I do like some of the baskets and walker-like carts that they have. There's no walk-in beer fridge here, but there is a decently large selection of true craftbeer in the aisle. Self and serviced checkouts both available.

Really nice modern supermarket with prices which for a small town were really good. We had brought most of our food up from Christchurch and i think I will have paid more in gas carrying it than I would have saved. It appears to be well stocked as well

So super market shopping in New Zealand is so addictive and I wish I could buy and eat everything but there is only limited you can eat. The is one of the big supermarket food chains in New Zealand. Their fresh products is damn good. They have a parking lot area and if parking is not available here, you can also park at a close by parking lot area. The meats and the fresh produce are very difficult to resist. Enjoy your time here and everything about shopping from here! The staff and people are very helpful. They have o e washroom as well. They have fresh flowers also.

You can make your own nut butter (almond & cashew). Grind your coffee beans at the deli section. Refill station for cleaning liquids etc. But I'm disappointed in their seafood selection. Where are the fresh prawns???

The restaurant food is simply gorgeous. It tastes every bit as good as it looks. The price are amazing too. 10 out of 10. Presentation excellent, can't recommend it enough.

This place right in Wanaka gets crazy busy at times. The free 90 minute car parks are barely big enough for most cars. Coupled with the layout of the parking laid out over 3 areas and 3 entrances, means it's ok. Definitely forget taking your big motor homes and camper vans into the car park. The signs at each entrance ask those with camper vans keep away. Once you shop here you can see why. Inside its often very busy too. But it has all the usual range of supermarket stuff. Just at busy times expect a quick shopping trip to take way more time than you'd expect due to the parking and crowding issues inside. For a wider range, a less busy experience or for lots of parking including all those big mobile homes and camper vans try the Three Parks New World off Sir Tim Wallis Drive about 3 kms away.

Fairly average New World. Bought steak that looked good and lean. On opening turned over and mostly fat and gristle. Won't buy meat here again. New, bigger New World being built east of town would have to be a better bet.

I know we tourists can be annoying but treat us as humans and don't grunt at us. Most staff have have been great and happy to help, even a young man on his break was happy to go above and beyond. Just a few staff that need to think twice about their attitude before they open their mouth.

Parking could be bigger ! I tried to park my car around 12pm but it took 25 mins. If it’s peak season ( summer and winter ) and peak time ( lunch and dinner ) it would take more but this is the biggest super market in town and good selection of fresh fruits, Vegs and other stuff.

Very busy!!! Probably because of holiday season😀😀😀 but still comparing with european customer service it's like heaven and hell. No one ever packed my shopping with such care and attention to detail. Eggs at the top not at the bottom of the bag😁. Thank you for your help and efficient service.

The customer service was superb. One note, they close at 9 on the tick, and they will rush you out while not using the self checkout machines. If they're in such a hurry to close, why can't they let us self checkout? No idea, but get out ASAP.

Nice store but little effort made to stop use of plastic bags. Tourists very bad with their lack of recyclable bags so why not have them on counters and offer them the choice? No use having them hidden near floor. Have them on display at eye level!

Fantastic supermarket. Good displays of fresh food at the front of the store. Deli section had a good array of foods. Got everything I needed. It was a very busy store and at times dangerous. One man carrying his child doing a spin in the aisle almost crashed into me. Other people standing talking in the aisles, obviously didnt like being asked if I could pass, pushed their trolleys aggressively aside and I was given the stare. Its a supermarket - not a stop and chat area. The car park is small and pretty cramped. A lot of broken headlight and brake lights smashed throughout the car park due to the tightness. Discrimination against campervans/motorhomes- not allowed to park there. Time for a move New World.

New World was my favourite grocery store in New Zealand. It was one of the more expensive ones, but the shop was always so clean, the whole shop was well organised and the staff will help you with everything. Most of the time, their sales save you a lot of money.

Come here if you want a decent supermarket and complete items in wanaka. It is quite big and provide lots of parking space. The service was also fast as they have 1 person for checking the items and one person for bagging the items in each cashier. If you travel in campervan and happened to want to stock up after parking in the main road, the walk is not far

We usually go to Wanaka during peak summer season when Wanaka is at its busiest. This supermarket can get really busy with queues going all of the way from one side of the store to the other with people standing in the isles. Unless you need to do a big shop, I'd suggest going to the Four Square on Ardmore Street. It's a 5 minute walk away. There isn't a huge difference in the prices between the stores.

Want to save on money when travelling? This supermarket will save you heaps of money. Go to the deli section to choose from a wide variety of ready made and cooked food. If you are on a budget, you can still eat a decent meal without breaking the bank. They don't provide cutlery so remember to bring your own and dispose of your rubbish wisely.

Much better assorted than Four Square and more or less the same price. If you are on holidays, make sure you grab one of the touristic magazines they have at the airports for discount vouchers. We saved 15 dollars in a 165 dollar purchase.

It's the cheapest new world in Wellington so if your looking for somewhere to be light on the picket this us the place I wouldn't really reccomend buying your veg here. Your better off getting your veg on a Sunday morning at the market just across the road it's much better. It's decent for groceries but can be really busy .... New World Wanaka suffers from being too small for the number of customers that shop there. Despite this staff are friendly and efficient, and they have a system of queue management in peak times (beware: queues can snake all the way down the aisles in busy holiday times and shelves can empty out as fast as staff can stack them) Produce selection varies and can be expensive. Lotto shop on the way in. Good butchery selection, small deli and bakery sections.

This is the largest supermarket in Wanaka with a large selection of food, drinks and other consumables that you may need to stock up on during your stay in Wanaka. We found everything that we were looking for during our provision shopping at New World. Location is on Dunmore Street, there is plenty of parking in front of the supermarket.
