It’s not the biggest Countdown but it now has an accessible shopping trolley so I can go shopping with my daughter who has mobility challenges.

Great store, location, friendly staff. We like going here because it's not so crowded. The only qualms I have is convenience items are on the opposite side of the supermarket. I'm not one to fall for the yum yums as you walk in the door so I usually bolt for milk, bread etc immediately.

I've got to say that until they renovated last year, I would actively avoid Countdown. Since the renovation however, not only does the store look better, but they seem to have reinvigorated the entire feel. For instance, I will often find better produce here than at some other supermarkets. They will often have the products available here that we can not find at other places as well. It would be great if they could increase staff to ensure faster check-out, but one thing at a time.

Pretty big and with a wide range to choose from. If I have a car I like to go here. Can usually find most of what I want here. If living in Kelburn or Northland I would advise making the drive here rather than Karori Countdown. There is a wider range of products to choose from.

Experienced very helpful service when I lost my card in the middle of checkout. I think it was Rashu who took my trolley to the cold store while I went home to get an alternative card. All worked out well in the end - I found the card later on. Thank you

The store was demolished and rebuilt within the last few years and is now a clean, modern supermarket, well stocked, and plenty of parking. There's a pharmacy, hairdresser and coffee shop on site too.

Despite being rebuilt from a funny old place, it still seems to be a funny new place as supermarkets go. Their deals don't exactly set the world on fire, their meat is shipped in rather than prepared on-site so don't give an impression of freshness. Their fruit and vege is uninspiring, and the staff are a bit "meh". On the plus side, it is very accessible for the Crofton Downs community.
