This supermarket is located opposite Paknsave supermarket. It was not as crazy as Paknsave. Lots of carparks available and not so many people inside and I prefer it that way.

Always a pleasure, compact store but always come out with everything I came for plus tasty morsels from the bakery I hadn't intended on buying. Staff lovely and positioned in kilbernie where I can get other shopping done as well and not need to shift the car from the carpark. Which is important for me because I have walking stick and can't walk too far.

Always been the main place that I shop for groceries. They tend to amazingly have what I need or want on special when I get there. Great discounts and friendly staffed including the security who I got a smile out of last night.

Bakery needs a revamp. (This a 4 and not 5) Very boring selection (please mix it up team!) Other than that...this is my go-to supermarket...Ula & Mata always friendly and very helpful (I even know their names cause I'm in here bl***y every day ;) Great incentives with one card...I love getting my vouchers! Great weekly specials. I only go to pak n sav if I cant find it in countdown. But please....make some new bakery stuff!

My usual spot for picking up things via work and home and everything in between. The only complaint I have is regarding their abuse of the upcoming plastic bag ban and choosing to replace the free bags with bags charging 15c cents to a dollar per bag. I would have suggested more portable reusable bag and paper bags instead.

Love this supermarket. Staff are helpful & friendly. I come down from Carterton to stay every now n then. Love coming back to Wgtn but its good to go home as well.

Kind and friendly staff always willing to help out. There produce is always at a good qualitly and there is plently to go round. Some times they do lack the produce that I'm looking for. They offer apples and other fruits to children. They also will give your child a slice of ham if you are buying some. There bakery is always topped with yummy food and fresh bread.

I tend to go here more often than Pak n Save because it saves me a few steps and I like free plastic bags more than the planet that has given me life. But when it comes to grabbing something for lunch, the bakery and deli have a really poor selection of ready-made food. Overall, it is quite an average supermarket.

I actually like this countdown. If you use their feedback form and give them feedback about products or specials you want, they act on it. It's very satisfying to be heard by a big supermarket and have the products you want discounted. Very pleased. Keep on the good work.

Shop is really good and staff are great. The biggest issue I had was the parking! I have a medium size car and had great difficulty getting into the carpark! My mate had a pajero and it litterally took him 20 min of maneuvering to get the car to fit!

Such big difference with PAKn'SAVE, only go to countdown when no parking available at PAKn'SAVE. Even then there's a l8ne at auto check outs and the wait is for supervisor. If just the machines let you continue after 1 item that neeeds supervisor that would make a great difference already
