J.Wonderful,friendly staff.Fruit and vegetable section is well looked after.Very quick to get through to self serve checkout.Absolutely amazing staff.
L.The Polynesian lady on the checkouts is so lovely. Great customer service. The 5 star is for her alone.
P.This supermarket is located opposite Paknsave supermarket. It was not as crazy as Paknsave. Lots of carparks available and not so many people inside and I prefer it that way.

A.Countdown is good as it has a wide variety of products. The layout is good but it seems a long way to walk from fruit and veges to the bread and milk section. I like that they have self service checkouts.

S.Good range of standard groceries, but is lacking in some more unusual ones, like for non-Western cuisine or specific diets. Staff are fairly attentive and I’ve never had to wait long in a queue or for someone to notice me at the self checkout.

F.Always a pleasure, compact store but always come out with everything I came for plus tasty morsels from the bakery I hadn't intended on buying. Staff lovely and positioned in kilbernie where I can get other shopping done as well and not need to shift the car from the carpark. Which is important for me because I have walking stick and can't walk too far.
N.They have Buffalo Chicken bites! Their instore bread offers labelling which is useful if you are vegan....
T.My go to place for shopping, helps when you live across the street....

B.Always been the main place that I shop for groceries. They tend to amazingly have what I need or want on special when I get there. Great discounts and friendly staffed including the security who I got a smile out of last night.
b.Average countdown/woolies. Keep an eye out near the butter & margarine sections for excellent (random) reduced to clear sandwich meats and pasta salads
H.I shop here most weeks. It has a decent selection of food. Missing some nicer goods but it's good for a normal shop
D.It's ok 😌 it's a bit dull needs a make over like Newtown and also they don't sell our one our favourite products anymore Wattie just add these are very good to cook with especially doing slow cooker Yesterday when I went there the nice lady at the check out kindly help me put the things into trolley I was using instead of bags alot of the people on the check out don't do it they don't know how to pack them

A.My usual spot for picking up things via work and home and everything in between.
The only complaint I have is regarding their abuse of the upcoming plastic bag ban and choosing to replace the free bags with bags charging 15c cents to a dollar per bag. I would have suggested more portable reusable bag and paper bags instead.

J.Love this supermarket. Staff are helpful & friendly. I come down from Carterton to stay every now n then. Love coming back to Wgtn but its good to go home as well.
T.Kind and friendly staff always willing to help out. There produce is always at a good qualitly and there is plently to go round. Some times they do lack the produce that I'm looking for. They offer apples and other fruits to children. They also will give your child a slice of ham if you are buying some. There bakery is always topped with yummy food and fresh bread.
J.I tend to go here more often than Pak n Save because it saves me a few steps and I like free plastic bags more than the planet that has given me life. But when it comes to grabbing something for lunch, the bakery and deli have a really poor selection of ready-made food. Overall, it is quite an average supermarket.
C.Not a bad little supermarket... layout seems a little random but variety is ok and the store is pretty well stocked given its size. Carpark is adequate ...
M.I actually like this countdown. If you use their feedback form and give them feedback about products or specials you want, they act on it. It's very satisfying to be heard by a big supermarket and have the products you want discounted. Very pleased. Keep on the good work.
K.Doing a great job countdown but worried about your staff - what you doing to protect them? They need masks or screens or customers must wear masks - appropriate distancing essential etc - didn't see your staff wearing masks

K.A limited selection of large sized items, but the place is perfectly positioned for the pensioner, lots of deals if not too picky and a reasonably sized store.

M.Smaller than the Newtown one, but definitely has a more friendlier, cozier vibe. No odd smells. Has nearly everything you could need. And layout isn't too confusing like Newtown's.
R.Nice decent sized countdown store shelving all the items. Friendly staff and ample parking too. Near by pak n save does give them a competitive challenge. Good overall.
B.have always quite liked the Countdown supermarkets. the staff always seem really nice. i have always been more than happy to keep going back there.
D.Shop is really good and staff are great. The biggest issue I had was the parking! I have a medium size car and had great difficulty getting into the carpark! My mate had a pajero and it litterally took him 20 min of maneuvering to get the car to fit!

M.Such big difference with PAKn'SAVE, only go to countdown when no parking available at PAKn'SAVE. Even then there's a l8ne at auto check outs and the wait is for supervisor. If just the machines let you continue after 1 item that neeeds supervisor that would make a great difference already

K.It's a supermarket, I usually get sirloin steaks, broccoli and mushrooms. All good quality. Not as busy as Pak n Save which is nice.
