One of the bigger stores, seem to have a larger range than other Countdowns. Helpful & efficient staff. Good lighting. Clean. Big carpark. Toilets available (just ask, hard to find). Lotto outlet. No other nearby stores. Easy access as right next to SH1 off-ramp.

Hi,few things from countdown and they had paracetamol,how good is that,not sold out there.Look,I always have good service at countdown and I try to show return appreciation to staff for that.Lots of young people at till also,they're pretty good you know,anyway,shelves are not too bad,didn't check toilet paper as I have enough for now but quite sure they're restocking as fast as they can.So nice to have your bags packed as well.Thanks everyone.

This is definitely one of my favourite stores to visit when I'm doing a big shop for gluten-free products. They have one of the best selections, the store is huge and incredibly well laid-out (not to mention spacious), and parking is easy (right at the door).

I have been a regular shopper here since it opened and I think it’s an excellent store. Easy to navigate layout and design and product quality is always good, especially the in store baking which is delicious. Hardly ever out of stock. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, I am yet to find a single rude staff member in there. Always had good experiences shopping here and will continue to buy my groceries from here

This countdown looks great, it's rather new so the layout and store condition is better then a lot of others. There are a particularly good selection of beer and wine with it's own walkin cooler. The wine section is also well stocked. The only downside is on several occasion, there is a lack of meat or vegetables which appears like they are trying to use up all the old stock before adding the new ones. If I remember right is on Sundays when this happens (probably likely as everyone does their week shopping then). Overall, good store, I will keep going here.

I have never had a good experience at Countdown Tawa. They are excessive with their alcohol policy. Don't bother trying to purchase alcohol if you have your children with you even if they are clearly kids - they will decline you. My other issue is: they are so damn expensive for everything. It is cheaper to go to New World. Managers generally unfriendly and looking over worked but other staff nice and friendly and they do have a good range of products

Yesterday I had to fly down to the shop (we usually do online via Te Oraiti Reedy my daughter). While i was frantically rushing around for school lunches Margaret came and asked how things were as she is aware we have our grandies living with us. She asked as she always does how things were and I said just awesome Margaret papa had a stroke last week but he's fine just another test. Got the best hug and we went our separate ways. Leaving check out Margaret pops into my bubble with a bouquet of flowers from countdown to make me feel happy. It sure has and I appreciate countdown but especially Margaret who has made such a difference.

If shopping in tawa shop here 1 million time better than Tawa New World! Such a wide variety of stock to choose from, lots of produce, and meat, bakery is lovely, heaps of frozen to choose from. Stuff are lovely. Would highly recommend! :)
