Awesome selection of Asian food...and the best gluten free Hoisin sauce I've found so far!

Has so much stuff, I get overwhelmed every time I go there! Really nice and helpful staff. But they have the most obnoxious and obvious on floor loss prevention staff... should consider being more subtle if you want it to be effective and not just plain offensive to innocent paying customers. It is extremely unsettling to have someone stalk you around the store and have them stare at you through an aisle. I can barely focus on what I’m there for, because I’m being watched. I feel pressured to hurry up and buy something.

Everything is clearly labeled and any asian grocery item you could want. Staff were lovely and gave me a discounted item.

Newly renovated recently. Carry wide range of Asian products from many Asia countries. Though some items are slightly pricy than other shops but it's an one stop shopping for me.

It has almost everything I need to cook Korean Food (and Asian Food). The staffs there are so friendly and helpful. You can also hear some good Korean songs there as a bonus 😜 (I found my self singalong while shopping hehehe).

With an incredible selection of noodles and Asian ingredients, Haere Mai is easily one of my favorite stores in town. Pro-tip for those who can't read the labels: open Google Translate and point your phone at the labels to get an instant English translation. In case the translation doesn't make any sense, you can use Google Lens to try and recognize the item or lookup the image (reverse image search) and recipes online.

Really great store has a lot of awesome snacks and treats the drinks are very affordable, i go here all the time and always find a new food to try out everyone really nice and helpful.

Korean-run Asian grocery store with a wide selection of Asian foodstuffs in dry, frozen, bottled or pickled form, from varoius Asian countries viz. Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, etc. It is centrally located (next to Eagle Technology) in Victoria St. and share their premise with the Dollar World shop. Pricing tends to be higher than some Asian stores and supermarkets except for some discounted items, so you may wish to shop around before purchasing from HM if you're price-sensitive. They do carry more variety than some Asian stores eg. many varieties of dried rice noodles - you can find the exact type of noodle for a very specific dish/recipe here. Currently they offer more varieties of mooncake than other stores and supermarkets but these are also more expensive.

Very wide assortment of Korean and other Asian products in a pretty small space and tiny aisles. Reasonably priced or cheaper than the main grocery stores, but with far more specialized ingredients.

I love this place. They always have awesome goods that aren't very common in other stores. I like to come by to restock on Maxim coffee. This is not endorsed by Maxim coffee, but if it was, I'd be a very happy person, because it's my favourite coffee.

Pretty decent Asian store. They have a lot of trash food, but if you look around you can get some quality stuff: came out with a big bunch of soba noodle, tub of miso, two packs of firm tofu, a couple of packs of nori, shitaki and green tea for less than 30$. Not too bad. Try the seaweed crisps if you want a guilty pleasure.

This is so sad for only one korean grocery shop in wellington city. Not many item that im looking for. And staff was not kind. I wish we have more choice in welly.

Sweets, frozen products, kitchen ware, spices, ready meals, legumes, rice, etc. A good selection at good / fair prices. The location in the heart of the city ensures the 5 stars. The staff is not really friendly, but all other aspects make up for it, especially since the staff cannot be called rude either. (Original) Update April 2021: Leider sind die Preise seit der Erweiterung, um zum Teil bis zu 30-100% gestiegen. 😢 Dieser koreanischer Supermarkt hat auch andere ostasiatische Produkte. Süßigkeiten, Tiefkühlprodukte, Küchenware, Gewürze, Fertiggerichte, Hülsenfrüchte, Reis usw. Eine gute Auswahl zu guten/fairen Preisen. Die Lage im Herzen der Stadt sorgt für die 5 Sterne. Das Personal ist nicht wirklich freundlich, aber alle anderen Aspekte gleichen es aus, zumal das Personal auch nicht unfreundlich bezeichnet werden kann.
