Parking's a nightmare, and the staff look like they've all had the life sucked out of them. The selection is meager which is hardly surprising considering the tiny size of this place. You feel like a canned sardine, especially when it has more than 20 customers. To be honest, they should ditch the stupid little car park from hell and extend the actual shop out... or tear it down, whichever. It a 5 minute drive to a much bigger (and cheaper) Countdown in Crofton Downs, but if you're on foot and can't be bother hoofing it, then it'll pass for an oversized dairy (thats a 7-Eleven for you Americans).

Visited New World in July 2021 and I was pleased with how the shop was presented. There was a range of products to choose from. Including meats, produce, snacks, diary and other products to choose from. New World deliver and provide a quality service for their customers.

Well aside from not having the two items I went in for - cream & Janola.not bad. Nice to see they cater for those of us who are single/pensioners- got a lovely little pork roast (which I was not looking for), for $13 which will do me for two possibly three meals! Staff seem very pleasant & chatty. Found the cream in the local dairy - had tried three super markets!!!

The nicest and most helpful staff in any supermarket in Wellington. It is a compact store but clean and does not have bare concrete floors. Quality of produce is very good to excellent. Parking is tight especially when so many of the locals drive big and ugly SUVs. Khandallah as a suburb isok but is increasingly being overrun by dogs: far too many dogs.

Small but friendly well stocked supermarket, they will happily try and get a product in for you if they have the room for it . The fruit and vegetables are well stocked and the butcher is on hand and the meat is fresh looking unlike a lot of supermarket meat.Excellent staff always helpful and often get into the spirit of the season such as Halloween when they wore costumes- great fun for the kids.

We use it frequently as it's the local supermarket. Friendly staff and reasonable range of groceries. Car park can be very busy, so avoid peak times if possible.

Always fresh, always tidy, always friendly and helpful. There have been a steady series of enhancements to displays over the last year. It is a smaller local supermarket though so don't expect the range of Thorndon or Chaffers; but has everything needed on a day to day basis. Great local!

Handy for the northern suburbs. We use it if we have forgotten something or just need milk etc... a good alternative to losing an hour in a big supermarket. Parking can sometimes be a premium. Be patient and remember karma.

New World Khandallah takes stess out of shopping! It seems like a small supermarket but they have everything you need and lots of options to choose from. Everything is fresh and clean and the staff are so very friendly and helpful 😀

Khandallah New World is the best supermarket shopping experience I have encountered. The staffs are friendly and always incredibly helpful. You sometimes wait a couple of minutes for parking, but you never have to wait in long lines to be served at the counter. They believe in hiring staff to provide top customer service and don’t rely on self-service machines; this is the difference at Khandallah New World to other supermarket chains. Yes, their produce may be slightly more expensive than other budget supermarkets but they supply top quality goods and not second rate produce. Khandallah New World is a great local shop with wonderful customer service.

This place is almost perfect, about the only way they could improve it would be to supply more training to only 1 checkout operator on the finer nauences of accepting compliments. Sometimes he inadvertantly(hopefully) rebuffs/even seems to be criticizing the compliment giver. On one other ocassion he came across as being morally superior to many of his less enlightened peers. This person does his job well, but needs to think a bit longer before he verbally responds to the general public. My overall rating for the place is:- 98-99%!

Popped in for a soft drink yesterday. First time since i left Khandallah nearly 9 years ago i visited. Seems they know how to retain staff as people who where working there a decade ago are still there hence the familar faces. Self checkouts now. But EFTPOS machines need to be upgraded to Flawless (A common fault with every New World)
