We come from Auckland on the 1st of March 2022 for visit. Pak n save Petone surprised us 👏 well organised stock on shelfs with lots of different range groceries 👍, especially Deli has big range compared to most of our Auckland Supermarkets. Also compare to you own Pak n save up Auckland , Our Auckland Pak n save doesn’t has much choices from Deli and Bakery. I guess whoever live Petone are lucky ❤ keep the same way how you treat your customers! Thanks you Team.

It's a good place if you r doing a very big shop. Cheap groceries and good deals sometimes. My clients really like just going to the checkout and hearing the sounds and r very relaxed near by. Thx staff for being kind.

I don't like Pak'nSave, but.... low low prices and stuff. Pay your staff more, Pak'nSave, they look dead inside. I'd look dead inside too if I worked there. Also this is a gripe more about the customers than Pak'nSave, but even with the spacious af aisles, apparently fatasses need to push their trolleys full of junk food right past me to the point where I'm getting bumped into every 2 minutes. The world just ain't big enough for some people I guess. But hey. Those low, low prices. Gotta love 'em or something. And the bottles of booze are cheap. Recommended I guess....

Always my go to place for doing my grocery run as there are plenty of selections to choose from. Plenty of parking spots but it can get pretty busy around midday on a weekend. There is a covered parking available. Toilets within the supermarket and café to get your fix.

In Wellington there were many grocery stores but in all of those store I honestly love to shop at pak n save as it is very reasonable and have almost each n everything that a household wants. Moreover the bakery items were just awesome, and also they have many some their own brands of jams, purées, wraps and many more

Good large grocery store has some specialty products Italian, Asian and some pre prepared hot and chilled foods such as specialty sushi varieties and local artisan areas like the cheese and alcohol sections.

Accessible covered parking for those rainy or overly sunny days. Bulk fresh and affordable produce on site. Excellent organic produce and a variety of stock on hand. Close to the Petone foreshore and main street to shop, stroll or walk the dog.

We shop there every other weekend and we are absolutely happy about our shopping ever time. The price is reasonable and we enjoy just walking around the market and spot somehow unexpected deals and buy things we need. Good job done during COVID19 and we appreciate your hard work during the time.

Oooowww Pee town Petone. Service greatest. Excellent communication, very helpful staff. Meany foods to choice from. Food prep cooked. Lovely baked bread as well sweets. Hot food you would buy for breakfast, morning tea , snack, lunch after noon tea, dinner mid night snake. Petone has the works, believe me I I travel from Porirua City. PETONE & PARAPARAUMU are the only pakn save shopping I shop for food for family & crew workers if I'm in their surroundings. Paknsave porirua no good! Harse & looked at as if you stole you grooserys or your a escape convict. What a joke. Then they band you for life couse they don't like you. That porirua paknsave for you.

During covid Petone paknsave is the only supermarket in the Hutt Valley that sanitised all their trolleys. They take every precaution seriously to help the community and them selves safe. I have so much respect for them and grateful for all their hard work they do for everyone in our community.

Many items cannot be found at their other branches for example their $3.98 apricot or apple crumble family “pie” ....very tasty! Also combine your shopping to receive their 6c per liter fuel ⛽️ discount. It’s just enough to push your fuel under $2.00 a liter. This Pak n Save usually has the best price fuel in the region

Best by far In LowerHutt n Upper Hutt Pack n Save Supermarkets. Even better than the ones in Wellington City. Its all about supply. demand, display, freshness. I am only talking about minor differences in %ages, between them. Very impressed by their fish supply far better than the fish supply shops in the Wellington area in terms of fresh n affordability. Oh and their specials are ok too.

Pretty good store it's big big big layout is pretty good for a large store have a lot of deal isles and have a good number of toilets... Was traveling through and ended up being a bit desperate after buying a few items for lunch and they had a few toilets to choose from and the loos were very clean... Only thing I reckon that the red meat section not as many options like other pak n saves the Palmerston North store and wellington store have at least double as much red meat options though they have a lot of chicken and pork options which I don't eat but I guess they are catering for the local shoppers...

Let's be honest...no Pak 'n' Save is going to blow your mind. But the details make the difference. Having free Level 1 EV chargers (very slow charge, but hey - it's free) to 2x spots down the side is cool. Fast chargers are out front (obviously not free, but at least they're there!). They don't have an underground carpark like most in Wellington but it is mostly under canopy, which is awesome on a hot day. I once left $20 at an ATM and security found me 2 days later to hand it back to me (which is, frankly, amazing). And they have soft plastic recycling. (They lose one star because of the Christmas thing. The trees with the corny carols come out in November and I despise them their tinny carols mashup on repeat. And the display of the Caucasian Nativity with a newborn Messiah, whom looks approx 3 years old & appears unusually ginger for someone born in modern day Palestine.....) :-)

I always go here, they have decent prices and sometimes really really good specials in the area in front of the check outs just as you walk in. But...... they are ALWAYS out of mung bean sprouts when I go though which drives me crazy so I have to get them somewhere else. Would recommend unless you're after mung bean sprouts in which case don't bother, they will probably be out of them again.

Fantastic place to shop. I particularly think the meat section is second to none in the Wellington region. You can get all the usual meat but also some less common cuts like goat, large amounts of chicken gizzards, chicken feet, tripe, you name it. WIth a Polish-Kiwi for a husband I buy all of these things and I have to say they are delicious. Service from the Butchery is always VERY good, they will go out of their way to help you find something, or order a particular cut for you. Great selection in the rest of the store and the prices are very, very good. For people saying how expensive the groceries are... as a Canadian/Kiwi I can tell you that having been back to Canada in February Pak N Save is less than the Canadian grocery stores I was shopping at. In some cases MUCH less. And the quality of our meat and dairy is second to none. If you buy what's on special and shop wisely you can do really well :)

I was in the line today Saturday 2nd May. On entering the supermarket I found it to be really busy with lots of people. One a family of at least 3 adults and 3 young children. A father and young son around 12 yrs. Nowhere have I read that it was okay to take half your family, there was no 2 metre gaps and my understang of Level 3 was that it wasn’t ok to have more than 1 person shopping. Up till now my experience has been amazing. I won’t be shopping at Pak n Save until it’s safer. Hello Countdown.

26/7/18 Bought a few items. Came to $46.18 and I was staggered by the cost. NZ supermarket shopping is....never mind. :-( 11/6/18 the shop is flooded with flags. Clearly a rugby match of some sort must be on. This is the supermarket that boasts 'lowest prices' in NZ. Pretty decent pricing in the supermarket realm. As for most supermarkets very much plastic heavy. Be great to see the supermarket industry use its power and push suppliers to drop plastic. Check out the hoisin sauce photo that I uploaded... Staff are a good, and positive, crowd. Owner likes rugby. His like can be very very obvious at times. Excruciatingly so. ;-). How safe might the place be in an earthquake? 18/9/19 must be a rugby event on. Rugby everywhere. I'd include a photo but a sign at door reads something about no in store photography without permission. ...

Paknsave Petone Grocery Store is the best!! The only Q.'s I have relate to the fruit n vege isle: Could the fresh vege be glad wrapped twice instead of once, as it rips easy. Also could the weight machine price stickers be replaced with the old ones, the new ones tear awkwardly. And lastly can the new plastic bags be replaced with the old ones, they hold better.. NOTE: The reason why I have rated 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this store is because of the lovely, helpful, caring, humorous and hard working Staff and in particular the Customer service/checkout area. Just Wow, Best Customer Service I have had in many years from the Bakery at Pak N Save Petone. I live in Tokyo but I am from Petone. Over the past few years I have been ordering grocery treats for my parents from online supermarkets. Until my parents asked if there was any way to change to Pak n Save. They said not only was their meat and vege fresher and cheaper, but they wanted to support their local business. Leo, the truly outstanding manager in Petone made it happen. He has gone out of his way to personally deliver gift cards to my parents. At Christmas he also gave them a gorgeous pot plant and just today he absolutely made their week by delivering a birthday cake. Amazing service and true kindness.
