Sweet as! Although it has a little bit over priced of their commodities than the other leading shop, it's depends on the choice of the costumer. I love roasted chicken in this shop...

Countdown wanganui has always been my favourite place mostly due to the staff, they helpful and very friendly, have some good specials here and there, some products expensive but I don't mind paying that extra when you shop in a nice environment with amazeing staff!! I would give 10 stars if I could!!

This place is clean and tidy. The aisles are easily accessible. The checkout staff are really friendly and so helpful. The downside was the man at the vegetable and fruit department must've been having a bad day.

Has a chemist, plenty of car parking and lots of self checkouts makes it easy to pop in quickly. Always tidy and well stocked. Convenient central location.

Better stock in than the other countdown here. Good service usually.

I ordered online and I like I can walk in and everything was accounted for and just pack in the car.

Nice shop, not huge, not too busy whenever I go there (During the day, during the week) lots of people use the self checkouts and when I was last there the young lad looking after us all was lovely.

Great store, has everything you'll ever need. I was there after 6pm and it seemed that shelf stocking had stopped for the day as lots of items were close to running out at that time. Otherwise clean and tidy with friendly staff. My wife insists we shop there as the gluten free/dairy free/vegan options are really good.

As far as I know this is the only store in Whanganui that stocks Easiyo ptoducts

Light & airy shop aisles a decent width always plenty of stock on shelves didn't have to wait long at checkout & the staff are friendly & helpful. My only negative is no self service available

The staff are amazing! At this crazy time of year when they are rushed off their feet, they still smile and are pleasant and helpful. I have especially noticed this with the deli staff - even when customers are rude to them, which I have observed. Well done, all of you.

Countdown Victoria Ave was a good place to shop the staff were very helpful and it was greatly appreciated. Everything I bought was easily reachable and going through check out was a breeze even though they were quite busy the check out attendees worked fast and cheerful. The whole experience was A joyful grocery shop which is usually stressful.

Excellent Place I go here all the time, Fantastic Service but wish the energy drinks weren't limited to 16.

Keeping with the times. Fresh fruit and veggies. Bakery with an assortment of goodies. A Deli and also fresh fish and seafood. Now along with their extensive health range, there is a pharmacy. Get your scripts while shopping. Also convenient parking available. Use your One Card for more discounts.

I do my online shopping here. It quick and easy shopping from my armchair at home. We make a list of what we want and then buy it. No Impulse buying and overspending. I then pick a time to pick it up and after work I text using the online app to say I'm 5 minutes away and they have it in a trolley waiting for me. So easy so simple...

Good service.still seems to be a reluctance to pack bags for customers however.i thought I wasn't going to get mine packed but it was attended to after I started.

Good organic, vegan, given free selection. Gluten free and organic specials running yesterday. Self service available. Staff friendly. Pharmacy open, shorter trading hours than Countdown itself.

Great range and well organised, there are just never enough staff serving when needed though. I understand that this is hard to manage, however have been lucky that managment always see the queues and always open another counter. Much appreciated, however still not quite 5 stars due to that. Love popping in for a late evening craving. And best of all - super great selection of chocolate for those times when you just dont know exactly what you want!

Always a good deal at countdown

I made a decision to use this super market because it's close to work and is very easy to navigate., until last week when they moved almost every isle around and made many changes. I now have to remap and retrain my brain. I'm sure the changes are for a better shopping experience but right now I'm hating it as its doubled the time it takes to shop.

Love shopping here. Lots more options than we had at another supermarket.

Pretty nice store not to big not to small lots of healthy vegan and organic options... Need some more hot ready meals they mostly only have hot chooks ... but got some nice fresh cold salad stuff and fresh fish from deli ... and there was a really nice helpful lady at the self-service check out with glasses who was great and cheerful and helpful ... better than the other countdown but prob not as good as new world ... new world is good as mostly full of people buying small amounts and store is cozy and small good wen I was in a rush ... was in whanganui for work so tried them all out ... but countdown has better hours and amazing selection of most things ...

Wheelchair availability for customers was very much appreciated this morning.. Thankyou.. sady we were not made aware of the specialty trolley to use with it...which would have made our shopping much easier.

Nice big range of goods and shelves that are well stocked. Conveniently located next to main roadways with lots of parking. However staff, especially the younger staff can be moody and unfriendly which can be off putting.

Consistent with the rest of the chain. The store was clean with an excellent selection and the staff friendly. If I lived here, I'd be happy to have this site as my regular grocery store.

Customer service is pretty good here, beats Countdown Trafalgar Square - my only two issues are that they often run out of my weekly regular items which is a bit of a nuisance and the produce isn't the best at all times. I have been finding Pak n Save's fruit and vege fresher for the last few months.

This countdown has mostly everything I need as a vegan. Not all countdowns are the same as far as products. We'll done Whanganui..

In contrast to the other countdown at trafalgar square, this countdown offers self scan checkouts greatly speeding up the process. Monday is a bad day to shop as often the shelves are not stocked properly untill tuesday. ( fast moving items ).

This countdown always has cheap and fresh meat daily and the fruit and veggies are always fresh. I love that I can now fill my prescriptions here for half the price...winning

It's Countdown - plenty of parking, usual Countdown layout and goods on offer. Nice delicatessen section. Otherwise it's Countdown.

Right next door to pak and save and a little further is new world so these three are fighting it out. There are certain things you can only get from their respective supermarket but the countdown pricing is not bad at all but Pak n save is my primary.

A great place to shop, has self checkout machines for convenience, not available in the other local store.

Nice clean shop with a large range of products

It's a pity that the staff can't get the trollies from around the carpark back to the entrance of the store. So the customers have something to collect their shopping in.

Less people crash into you then paknsave, less people stare at you then new world but your chances of running into smug isle blocking mouth breathers is pretty high. The self service is less frustrating then some.

We just returned an out of date cheese and they had the nerve to charge .50cents because they didn't have the same cheese. 50 bloody cents how rude. Disgusting.
