D.Rod & Gunn was kind enough to allow me to take a jacket to Quick Fit to confirm the construction of a sleeve for alterations. One of the seamstress reviewed the construction and provided a quote. I then purchased the jacket and pants. I returned and I was then measured for a fitting. Once the work commenced, I got a phone call saying that she had overlooked a particular aspect of the construction and that she could not do the work.
I think she was genuinely sorry for the mistake; she rang a professional tailor to obtain a quote to do what she could not due to the complexity of the construction. In mitigation this event, she completed the hem on a pair of trousers without cost.
I know people make mistakes and I believe that the way she conducted herself was quite professional. I will return to have additional work done in the near future.
