If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Shino is, simply put, brilliant. My partner and I both had a large quantity of clothes to be altered and we were very worried because we had a very short time frame and we had also had some bad experiences with other tailors beforehand but we really didn’t need to be worried because Shino exceeded our expectations with every single piece, she even saved some pieces we had almost written off. We were truly lucky to find her when we did. Not only are her alterations flawless every time but she is such a lovely, patient and kind person. I honestly wouldn’t consider going to anyone else for alterations in the future. Her attention to detail and skills are unmatched and I would highly recommend Shining Style to anyone, without a doubt the best seamstress in the Bay of Plenty! Thank you so much Shino!

Shino is wonderful ! She is an absolute magician with alterations, & has a very professional & experienced “eye” for the way clothes should look on a person. I have never found a dressmaker as experienced or capable as Shino, she is a real treasure. As well she is a very very nice person, caring, kind & takes a very personal interest in her clients & their needs. She listens, she advises & her manner with each client is just amazing. I consider myself incredibly lucky to find this fabulous lady & can’t recommend her highly enough for all types of dressmaking. 😀 😃

I had two work jackets altered. They were way oversize but for Shino no job is too big or too small. After alterations, it fitted me perfectly. I was so pleased with the amazing work Shino had done. Shino is one of the most pleasant people you will meet. Shino is very fast and under charges for her superior services Excellent, professional, welcoming, enthusiastic and eager to please. Designer application and fresh ideas were applied to the alterations required to make my dress a better fit, which improved the appearance and the fit of the dress.

I had a wedding dress disaster - my dress arrived with only 10 days to spare and needed several major alterations (hemming, petticoat added, taking in, darts added etc). Shino made it all happen! She literally transformed the dress. She reassured me and gave realistic expectations, (which she then totally exceeded), came up with clever solutions for some of the things we couldn't change, and the price was great value. We had two bridesmaid dresses altered here. One that we brought to her after another seamstress did it incorrectly, she had also charged us double what Shino did! Shino was so fantastic, so easy to deal with, very reasonable prices, and a quick turn around, she also pressed the dresses which was an added bonus!
