Kia ora!! I went and got my industrial piercing last week and was honestly less painful than I thought it would be. The customer service was great, as I felt a lot more comfortable and confident to get my piercing after I talked with the guy who did my piercing. The total price for the piercing, the bar and the aftercare was very reasonable and was so worth paying for. Definitely a place I would highly recommend and will go back to for another piercing!!

Really happy with all my experiences at Ballistic. The guys are knowledgeable with how to place tattoo’s and create exactly what i envision. My first tattoo was a happy experience too. Nigel is fantastic will definitely be coming back for more ink 😊

I got 2 tattoos done here by Nigel and they both turned out awesome, he helped me decide on the best placement and in the end it turned out just they way I wanted it, he's professional, welcoming, friendly and a easy person to have a chat with. Will definitely be back here in the next few weeks 😊

Cindy did an amazing job with myself and my best friend's ear piercings today !! I was feeling really anxious about getting my cartilages done with a needle...but her calm and professional manner really made the entire experience enjoyable and comfortable. 100% would recommend to my family and friends :)

I arrived at the shop and didn't even need an appointment for a piercing, the lady piercing me was very kind and lovely and assisted me when I felt faint. I would recommend getting any piercing from this place as the workers there were very professional.

I have been going to Steve at Ballistic for the last 15 years and his work has always been impeccable. He's been tattooing, longer then I have been alive! He has the ability to listen to what I want and create something that is EXACTLY what I had envisioned. The guys in the shop have always been helpful and cheerful, and getting work done is always fun, even when it hurts! All my friends and family get there work done at Ballistic too. If you want a good tattoo go elsewhere, if you want an amazing tattoo, then Steve is your guy.

Blair was awesome!! He was very accommodating for my friend and I. He was very flexible with helping us get the piercings we wanted. We highly recommend him and Ballistic Tattoo!! And I honestly think our piercings are healing so well because he is so good at his job! Thanks Kaitlin and Taylor!

The first impression that this tattoo studio is really hygienic and well structured proved absolutely true. My artist "Dangerous Dan" was not wicked at all. Quite the contrary: he was really patient with me (That's saying something!), EXTREMELY competent in his profession and totally focused on my wishes and imaginations of my first tattoo, which is not a typical or easy picture at all. After the session the skin was itching and peeled off exactly like he said. Since that the tattoo looks still wonderful! So I give my full recommendation for this tattoo studio and its tattooists!!!

Steve did good job as it's my first tatoo he make me comfortable but he didn't suggest me to improvise it like a bit bigger in fonts and slightly near to wrist .

Steve was fantastic (he has been doing this for longer than I've been alive!), and the artwork and the tattoo came out amazing. It was a very pleasant experience from start to end, and I would definitely come again and recommend to all my friends.

I've been wanting a new tattoo for several years, but have never found an artist I trusted enough to get it right. After much research on the net I went down to the studio and spoke to Nigel. I showed him my existing tattoo (which was over 10 years old and looking very murky and faded) and the artwork it was based upon, as well as a few other examples of the the type of style and design I wanted. The plan was to touch up the existing tattoo as well as design a whole load of new work to turn it into a bit of a sleeve. Let me say this before continuing, if there were more stars on this review, I would give them! If I have any more tattoos done in New Zealand, no matter where I am in the country, you can be sure as hell that I'm gonna head back to Ballistic in Auckland specifically to get them done. Nigel had a lot of bookings already, but over the next couple of days drew up a design and called me in to look at it. At that point I knew I'd chosen the right artist, and didn't even need to make a single change to the drawing, it was absolutely perfect. It was a large piece, and due to my plans to leave Auckland, Nigel recommended we did it all in one go, so he booked me in on the next day he had completely free. When my day of tattooing arrived, I headed to the shop when it opened at 10am, and the work commenced! In the end, the whole tattoo took about 9.5 hours, not including the half an hour break we had for lunch (which I greatly needed!). Nigel is a really friendly and interesting bloke and we talked about all sorts of things which helped take my mind off the pain of spending so long in one sitting being tattooed! The other artists in the shop were also quality guys and despite being stabbed by a needle for over 9 hours, they all helped the time pass quickly. Because he knew I only had that day to get the work done before I left Auckland on my merry travels, Nigel worked tirelessly and even stayed 2 hours past the closing time of the studio to make sure the work was complete. Once finished, the original tattoo I had looked even better than it did when I first had it done (how the hell did he do that?!?), and the new work was simply stunning. Even though it's only a few days old, is scabbed up and hasn't healed yet, I've been getting constant, extremely enthusiastic compliments on it, and have even had a few people stop me on the street to tell me how awesome it is (like I don't already know!)!!!! I honestly can't express enough how pleased I am with the tattoo itself and the whole experience! This is my fourth tattoo over a period of over 10 years, and the level of the work blows the rest of my stuff away, as well as any other work I've seen for that matter. Only trouble is that I'm from Europe and if I want any more Tats done, I'm gonna have to fly all the way back out here to get it done, as I wouldn't want anyone else to do it now! :) If you're considering getting a tattoo done in Auckland (or if you're anywhere in NZ for that matter!) head down to Ballistic, I literally cannot recommend them highly enough!

Walked in on the day and everyone was so lovely, I was a bit nervous but they made me feel so relaxed and welcome. Melissa tattooed me and was amazing, love my new tattoo and honestly couldn't think of a way to make it better. Thank you!!

got a walk in when I was in NZ on holidays last month. Dopped in and saw Nigel who was more than helpfull. One of the best tattoo experiences i have had. Nigel was very friendly, the shop was spotless and most of all- the tattoo on my elbow was AWESOME!!!!. I was so pleased with the work done, I took a few of the boys back the next day and we bought heaps of t-shirts, hoodies and other cool stuff. Many thanks guys. Steve from across the pond...

At our first stay in Auckland in 2007, we found Ballistic incidentally. At once we enthused of everything. Absolutely tidy and clean, almost like in a hospital. The kind of consultation, the professionelity, just everything. Together with Shaun, we composed two tattoos (one for each of us) which were very close to our person, in combination with Maori signs. Absolutely unic, no one else on the world has the same. One week later, when it had healed, we both had a wonderful tattoo and as well a souvenier of an amazing holiday in New Zealand. Back in Germany, aguy at a concert asked me about my tattoo, because he never has seen such an exact work bevore. In 2013, we came back to Ballastic. This time, we were in the hands of Steve. Same procedure, same result. Ballistic is absolutely recommendable, and when we come back to Auckland, the next tattoo will take place there. By the way, in Germany, we have to pay the double price. Dan Cox - Went to a million different places and looked at a million different artists work before finding Dan. He went through the design with me over a couple of visits and knew exactly what I wanted. Love it, couldn't have asked for a better artist, shop, or the work itself. Will always be going back to Ballistics.

My partner got his first tattoo last week , Steve did an awesome job it didn't seem to take that long and it looks great.

Went to get a special date tattooed on my arm. Extremely impressed with the service and hospitality. The studio is very clean, the experience was great and the tattoo looks brilliant. A definite 10/10

im from whangarei, came up with my art class for a day trip, spent my lunch break with the crew at Ballistic. allguhd service, hygienic as, staff are real help full, got a piercing from the bro who looks like a marble statue with sleeves aha, he knows what hes doing, quick and eazy process, definitely recommend for piercings, didn't get any tats but i would hav if i had the cash, artsts look good at what they do, big shout out to these guys, will be back if im ever in aux again
