Excellent. I am in love with my first tattoo -- crafted by Pip. Great ambiance, beautiful team of women with excellent communication before, during and after the service. The experience felt very special and I feel honoured. Will definitely be back and recommend to others! :)

Went in for my first tattoo and loved the atmosphere! Very comfortable and inviting. Would definitely recommend (and already have) Mamasez and Karanga Ink

More than any of your best expectations, wishes. 40 years and first tattoo with Pip. First of all, I experienced a warm, strong human relationship with the team. Pip is a pearl in that world, able to listen, to understand, to share and then after to translate into one of her language: the art of creation, drawing and finally inking. No need and Not a recommendation at all to teach her what to design, she knows much better how to illustrate you mind. I’m. It happy about my tatto, I’m proud to have been a support for Pip creation and now my full story, life is on my skin. All details, all forms, all meanings are perfectly respected. Thanks so much for what you teach me. On top, she’s so friendly that easy to share your experiences and culture with her. Only one bad things, STOP telling that it’s like cats scratches !!! Tigers are even very nice against the process.... just to complaint 🤣 Thanks as well for your precious personal time to have welcome me. I came here to get a traditional Maori style tattoo and I walked away with an incredibly meaningful and beautiful piece of art on my arm and chest. The staff are all so kind and helpful, they're so easy to get on with. I was so glad that I came here for my first tattoo and I had a great experience. I would more than happily reccomend this place to anyone.

Coming from Germany and was looking for a traditional style tattoo to cover up an old and ugly one. With Google search I found Pip and Karanga Ink - exactly that kind of tattoo art I was looking for. Pip is friendly, relaxed and an impressive person. She did everything free-handed and the result was perfect - I can 100% recommend!

Pip and her crew at Karanga Ink were completely amazing. I planed my Tattoo with Pip via email from the Uk and was kept in the loop right upto the date of my traveling to Nz. My experience at Karanga Ink was welcoming, warm and guided by Pip. I am so grateful to have been honoured with a traditional Maori Ta Moko tattoo by a Maori (Pip) who's ancestors go back many generation. We got to know Karanga Ink during the last Pasifika Festival in Auckland. We were super impressed instantly. Few weeks later we had our first session with Pip and TJ. It was incredible how they converted our ideas into real stunning art while just drawing everything directly on the skin. No stencils - just unique art. I got my whole lower leg done by TJ and I'm super proud how everything went out. It's even much much better than I ever imagined. My partner was so happy with her chest piece that the she got another one by Pip on her back. The people at Karanga are amazingly kind, professional, authentic. We felt welcomed, and had some nice talks about tattoo culture, māori culture, art, etc.. Additionally, the studio itself is nice,too. It's a studio and gallery. Check out all the art by TJ. Sadly, we have to leave NZ soon. I'm sure we would get more tattoos done. Thank you TJ, Pip and everyone at Karanga Ink.

Got a piece done by Tyla at the Chch tattoo expo and I'm so incredibly stoked. The whole team were so cool and really know how to look after their clients. Such a good vibe and awesome service. Definitely definitely recommend.

I got my Ta moko done by Pip and I absolutely love it. The shop has an amazing atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. Right away you feel at home and very warm welcomed. Defnetly worth a visit!

Clean and friendly place ! The staff is really welcoming and makes you feel at ease as you walk in. Didn't get my tattoo here cause I wanted something more specific about fine lines, but would definitely go there for a maori tat !

Beautiful interior, super clean and professional!

I was honoured to met Pip in December to tell her my story and what I was looking at doing, I was booked in Feb with her for the day which outside of the birth of my sons and meeting my wife turn out to be one of the best days I have had, my family will always be with me on my arm, I will now carry her work with great whakapehapeha, Beautiful person, Amazing artist

A lovely tattoo studio, nice and calm atmosphere, good music, and just extremely talented artists. Would always recommend.

Great place to get Traditional, Indegenous, and other style of Ta Moko, Tatau, Tattoo. Best pricing ive come across and great vibe in the place. Also an art gallery, Traditional healing space, and reception area. Bus can get you to the doorstep. A++
