S.Saw Rochelle for a stacked conch piercing and I love it so much! You can tell the standard at Absolution is significantly higher than anywhere else. Rochelle was super lovely and explained everything as she was going. Can't wait to see her again for more !
L.I have seen Lani, Becky and Eden at Absolution. I would absolutely recommend this studio to anyone interested in tattoos and piercing (and regularly have). I have always been impressed by the quality of the work and the friendliness of the staff. I genuinely believe its the best studio in Christchurch.
Update: I've also seen Rochelle for piercings now and her friendly attitude makes me feel so comfortable asking questions and she always explains things thoroughly. She is a real asset.
H.Friendly service meets you at the absolution front desk, where you can book a piercing or a tattoo consultation with one of their incredibly skilled artists. Both my partner and I have been tattooed by various artists at absolution, and we are always highly impressed by not only the artistic and technical skill of the artists, but also the cleanliness, and the overall atmosphere. Every tattoo gets a dressing of second skin, which I find far preferable to cling wrap alternatives. I'm sure we'll be back again!

K.Got my first lobe piercings done by Rochelle, who was extremely friendly, kind and patient. The place was clean and the process was quick and painless. Rochelle handled all my questions and concerns very calmly and professionally. My piercings were very even on both ears. Recently revisited Absolution for a piercing check up and they seem to be healing nicely. Overall, a positive experience and could not have asked for a better piercer. Highly recommend 🙂

H.Such a beautiful and calm space. I've been tattooed here twice, once by Tom and once by Liv, both times were the most hygienic and professional experiences I've had being tattooed. I can't speak to the piercing side, but know many people who say they only get pierced at Absolution. Email or phone Absolution if you'd like something drawn up for you, they'll be able to guide you in the right direction. I will be back.
J.My daughter really wanted a helix piercing and I chose Absolution based on the fact that both piercers belong to APP. My daughter was pierced by the amazing Rochelle and I was so impressed with the service we received. My daughter was extremely nervous but Rochelle was super patient and explained the process from start to finish and answered all her questions (multiple times lol). I’m sure it took much longer than anticipated (because of her nerves) but I know she really appreciated how Rochelle handled it with such kindness, Rochelle has the patience of a frickin saint! I will not take my daughter anywhere else to get pierced. Clean, professional, and friendly service.
K.Got my septum pierced a few months ago and popped back in on the weekend to have my jewellery changed. The initial piercing was way easier than I had convinced myself it would be. Everyone at Absolution is so easy to deal with and make the process as simple as possible. The jewellery options they have are great, I really wanted to have a dainty ring and initially got pierced with a silver ring (with ball) and just changed to a smaller cute rose gold ring. Overall I don't know that I would go anywhere else for my piercing or tattooing needs.
c.Hands down the most respectful and patient team. My girl came in today for her second try to get her lobes pierced. Eden talked her through every step clearly. When her anxiety crept up he gave us space to chat about her feelings and what she wanted to do. She then tried again, however the fear of the unknown was too much. Eden let her know that when she is ready he will be there to pierce her ears.
She left feeling really empowered that she made the right decision for herself, and knowing she is fantastic hands with Eden and the team at Absolution.
We would not go anywhere else for this.

L.Came to Absolution when visiting Christchurch, to add to my collection of cartilage piercings, and my partner had his eyebrow pierced. While a little more expensive than I am used to, the jewellery was very high quality (very pleased I was presented with several nice pieces to choose from, all my others have been default plain ones), titanium as I would expect. Staff were friendly and made us feel at ease. I was impressed that the piercer even recommended a studio back home to go to if I have any concerns and when I am ready for a jewellery change. Not sure if it's specific to the piercing I chose but I had a lot less soreness in the first few days than I did with some of my others. Highly recommend!

The lovely person who served me first was really friendly and patient while explaining the ins and outs of the jewellery. Eden did the piercing and was both confident and skilled making the process really easy for me. It was also great that he talked me through each step of the piercing. It’s just a shame they’re not in Auckland. 😋 Highly recommended. 👍

Well, there is no obligation and any punishment is well rewarded. The guilt is on you to absolve. I have a number of works from absolution, from several artists, including Naith, JuJu (ex artist), and Lani, and will check out the others. Professional = yes. Hygienic = yes. But it is not just about that, they are wicked artists. Talk about ideas and trust them to delight and surprise you (in a good way). Thanks so much absolution.
A.By far the best piercing parlor I have ever been to! I went in to get a cartilage piercing but ended up getting way more help than I could have hoped for. They inspected the previous piercings I had gotten back home in the United States and suggested I replace the jewelry, since the swelling still had not gone down months later. Once I was seated in the chair and ready to have my jewelry switched out, they took out one of my piercings and saw the jewelry was actually better quality than they originally thought. Rather than continuing and charging me for the three new pieces of jewelry, they told me it was unnecessary and didn’t want me to spend more money than I needed to. They also gave me suggestions for other piercing parlors I should go to at home and wrote out what type of jewelry I should look for when getting new piercings. So professional and helpful. If you’re looking to get a piercing in Christchurch, this is the place to go!!

A.Amazing place- got my nose pierced here whilst travelling in New Zealand because I had heard of their reputation. Most incredible friendly staff. I love my piercing and I haven't had a single issue with any infection or anything, and have used their advice of simply using warm water rather than marketed products, to clean other piercings I have gotten since then, and it has worked amazingly. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a piercing. Very professional, and talks you through all the steps to make sure you are comfortable. Best piercing place I've been too so far!

Rochelle was very professional and had a lovely welcoming manner which made me feel relaxed. She talked me through the whole process. I came in on the Monday and they were able to book me on for the Wednesday with Lani. She was great, she seemed excited about the design I was getting and was a good laugh along the way. Overall I'm completely stoked with how it came out, even though there was a power cut when we only had a couple of pieces left to do. Jessica Rabid pierced my conch and hot diggity damn is she an actual wizard. Not even a week later and I felt no pain, even if I accidentally bumped it. It just felt like a small bruise. The piercing procedure was quick and not at all as painful as I thought it'd be and now I have a CUTE new piercing on.. in? idk... on/in my ear. These guys are true professionals and kind, caring souls.
