I had a design on my mind for a year or so, my wife got me a voucher for Zealand tattoo. I was greeted by the artist Inkee, an absolute pleasure to deal with , he gave me choice on size and explained everything and answered all my questions, a highly skilled and efficient artist. I will certainly be getting more tattoos from here as the end product was spectacular. Without question or hesitation I would have Inkee work on my next planned piece. If you are looking to get inked……….this is the place to go. Thank you both Inkee and Zealand tattoo for a memorable experience . Of course recommended.

Getting a tattoo is a very personal and intimate decision. Getting the right tattoo on the right place can be quite scary. When I walked into Zealand Tattoo in Chch, I was greeted by a friendly lady at the desk, she introduced me to Marcos. We talked about more or less what I wanted, he listen and give his advice and at the end we came up with the one! The perfect tattoo that would be a tribute to my late parents. He suggested the place, position and colours and didn't stop designing until I was happy. The end result totally blowed my mind! I literally had to hold myself from crying. The Tattoo was beyond perfect! Exactly what I wanted! I couldn't be more happier with it! I can't stop looking at it! Marcos's expertise and professionalisim made it possible! I am definitely coming back and recommend Marcos at Zealand Tattoo.

Made my daughters first tattoo so pleasant and everyone was nice the whole experience was pleasant. I had a tattoo myself here and the experience was completely different. I got a basic tattoo which was very poorly done. I went back for a consultation in which i was promised that it could be fixed in a week. I waited for a week or 2 and then had to follow up, to which i got a very basic idea of a cover up which instilled me with no confidence. I ended up having to have 3 sessions of laser treatment and going to a different studio who did a fantastic job at half the price. I can only speqk for the two artists we had. One was good with a line drawing, the other i would not let touch me again.

I'm from Germany and before I traveled to NZ, I had the desire to get a tattoo. The motive was clear: Jesus, the lion of Judah. So, I wrote emails with Sam and asked them about everything and we finally set up an appointment. When I arrived in store, Sam and Zane were very welcoming. They consulted me and my wife about size and everything. Then Zane started to do his amazing job. My wife and I are still astonished by the incredibly detailed work he did. During the tat process we had a nice conversation and listened to amazing music. The healing process was very good and without any complications. He told me everything of how to care as it was the first tattoo of my life. Finally, I can totally recommend them: not only the expert knowledge was great, but also the warm and loving atmosphere that we sensed. Thank you!

I think you charge a premium price for a premium product and you definitely delivered Professional and friendly team. Laid back and good for a laugh. I think the explanation on pricing you gave me is fair, however having this kind of explanation online (ie. Business card size + detail = $) may allow customers a more informed decision before walking through the door - which is the ONLY REASON i did not give 5 stars Thanks again for an enjoyable experience

Slight mix up with my appointment time so I missed my spot but Marcos was willing to take my appointment even though he was almost finished for the day, what a legend! Great with tattoo placement, application and tattooing. Good banter and I wish you the best. Cheers, however I feel that the prices for tattooing here are extremely expensive even with a voucher, I got one as an early Xmas present, $500 worth for $250, they charge on the size of the tattoo, you should be able to come to a mutual agreement with your tattooist rather than price by size alone otherwise you can end up with a tattoo that looks silly because it's so small but you can't afford to upgrade, for this reason I won't be back, Christchurch has many great tattoo artists that don't charge obscene prices

Inkee did an amazing job in a fast time covering up a really ugly half of my tattoo that I thought was impossible to cover up. Got my first ever tattoo done by Inkee and it was a job well done! They say great experience and customer service starts from when you first make contact with a staff and they did not disappoint. As it's my first tattoo, I was really nervous and Sam very patiently answered all of my questions and concerns (am pretty sure it was silly questions but Sam was super patient and really quick to reply so thank you!) As I'm not in Christchurch and would have to drive down from Nelson, they also tried to accommodate an appointment slot for me on the weekend that I'll be in Christchurch. There was a little hiccup initially as the artist that was supposed to be doing my tattoo wasn't feeling well (hope you're better now!), They requested to shift my appointment to the following day. However, Cullen and team did some amazing magic and managed to get me anothet appointment slot on that very day. Thank you for that too cause I was mentally prepared to go in on a Saturday and I might have been afraid if it was postponed to another day instead. The whole experience was simply amazing. Yeah getting a tattoo hurts but everyone there was really assuring and kept checking on me to see if I'm doing alright. I also know I said that this will be my one and only tattoo, to which Inkee and Cullen (I think it's you? I'm not sure 😂) said that I'll be back before I know it. And what do you know, I've already found a spot for my next tattoo and I'm looking forward to making an appointment with Zealand Tattoo again as I definitely trust them with giving me quality tattoos and an amazing design that I will definitely love.

I recently had some work done by Zane, I have been getting tattooed now for 15years. (first time by this company) I found Zane and his team to be very professional, extreme on attention to hygiene. Helping you relax into a good experience. Could really see his experience and knowledge with placement, not to mention free hand drawn on to fit the body perfectly... line work was sharp... has healed great... now of the tattoo was over worked as I have experienced for other artists. Great experience overall with Zealand Tattoo! Super professional atmosphere and all the artists made me feel welcome. Custom designed my Kirituhi to work with my other tattoos. Definitely paid more than I was expecting, by far the most expensive tattoo for the size and time that I have. $1500 for around 2 hours... Felt a little ripped off but I do really love the tattoo and it’s exactly what I was after. It will always be a great memory of New Zealand however I’ll also be remembering how much money I had to drop to do so.

I got my Tattoo done by Zane, i inquired about 2 Months ago and i had only a small piece in mind but as time progressed i wanted a pretty big one which was no problem at all. Zane and I ended up with a 14 hour day! After 8.5 hours of tattooing, which took us until 3 in the morning i ended up with an absolute Masterpiece. Our tattoos are great! Zane and Sam blocked a whole day for our tattoos (including design). They took as much time as we needed to fit every whish and individual meanings in the tattoo. Besides Zane gave us good advises when he thought that it’s not possible convert our idea into the tattoo. If you are tavelling around New Zealand and can`t afford a tattoo, or you just don`t wanna do it while you are travelling, book the design online and do it in your home town is such an idea. It takes a while to receive the design, but it`s worht it, because it is personal, it is not just some random maori design. I'll may book a new design soon!

I was just pleased about the result and I really have no complaints but the only downer was the price which was a 1400$ for my upper arm tattoo, so relatively expensive. Thomas in the Chch location is a great tattooist! I booked in to get a small piece done on my forearm and just had a general idea of the type of design I wanted. After a few minutes talking to him, he went away and came back in about 15 mins with something even better than what I'd imagined. It was a great design and he executed it in about 25 mins on my arm. For custom work he was able to listen to what I wanted and turn that into something beautiful. Very happy with my latest piece.

I decided to make a booking for this studio 2 weeks in advance of my vacation in New Zealand. Originally coming from germany I hesitated with making an appointment first of all. But my concerns got blown away with the first step I took into the Christchurch Studio. Zane got a lot of experience with the polynesian tattoos which is still fascinating me. Unfortunatly I didn't have the time for the whole tattoo we had in mind first but thanks to the online consulting and designing possibility of Zealand Tattoo I got my hands on the design for the untattooed area of my arm when I was already back in germany. With the design I made an appointment with a tattoo artist in my area (which spared me like 34.000km of travelling) while knowing that at last Zane got to design the whole tattoo for me. The hygiene in the studio was more than satisfying. Near of the studio is a little bakery in case you get a little shaky through the sitting. I felt like Zane took a lot of time into making this and so I still love to remember my time at Zealand Tattoo Christchurch.
