R.Monica at Zealand Tattoo Studio did an amazing job on my biggest tattoo to date. I picked one of her beautiful original artworks and she adapted the design to fit me. She was patient while I worked out the best size for me and gave her honest opinion on where the design would look best. She is super talented and created such a relaxing atmosphere. All the staff are lovely and friendly and they were so accommodating with booking us in as we were only visiting Queenstown for a short time. Parth also did an amazing job on my partners thigh tattoo and created such an amazing experience for her. I would definitely recommend this studio!
f.A pleasant experience from start to finish. I bcamein with a rough idea the night before and got assigned Honoka as my artist because her skills fit the proposed work. By the next morning I had completely changed up what I wanted. I had sent about 15 photos of different patterns and my thoughts where now all over the place. She didn't even flinch and sat down with me to guide my decision. Together we found what seemed was a good direction, she got right on the task to design my tattoo, and 2 hours later she had it ready. Somehow she had found exactly what I wanted. The next 8 hrs I spent in the chair flew by. Honoka's concentration and stamina is admirably. She really put in 100%. They told me beforehand that she's a junior artist. Nothing about her would suggest that to a novice like me. This girl has talent and she has also put in the hard work and practice. Thank you so much Honoka. I wish you the best of luck.

G.Many times over my life I’d contemplated getting a tattoo. Each time I booked I backed out last minute, scared I’d regret it, or change my mind about the chosen design etc. Having just celebrated a BIG birthday I decided it was now or never! I scrolled over various local artists work for hours on Instagram and kept coming back to Grover’s work. His attention to detail and fine line work really appealed to me. The studio itself is immaculately clean. Gorgeous young lady on reception made me feel instantly at ease and explained exactly how the whole process would work. Grover was so friendly and very professional. I had no doubts that I was in good hands from start to finish. I’m thrilled with the outcome and even my rather shocked teenage daughter ( and family) approve. Can’t recommend Grover highly enough!

The artist take their time to go through your ideas with and suggest options you could do. The office girls are always super helpful and friendly and recognise you after the first time (of importance to me). S.We had our couple tattoos before our wedding done by Parth. We had ideas and drafted sketches. Parth combined all these ideas and created a masterpiece on the final design we had.
From the moment you walk in, we were greeted by a bubbly girl named Sam who works in admin. She was very accommodating to our needs. She was very approaching and made us comfortable, especially because it was my first time getting a tattoo and she made the whole experience breezy! She explained the whole process really well and took care of us from the beginning to the end.
Parth, our tattoo artist, created something that made our design so much better than expected. He puts his own style in the work that he do and it makes you appreciate a more unique design that is only for you. Initially, my partner and I had the same design but he gave us an option to have the same concept but different detailing. The very DETAIL of our own individual tattoos has got the attention it seeks and completed with precision. From the beginning of tattooing, Parth gave us an assurance that he will put his 100% in the whole session -- which you can see in the final result is so much more!!! You can see the passion he has on the work that he do.
The place is immaculate. You can see the support every artist gives towards each other . They work together as a team and have great respect for each others art work. It was such a fun and memorable experience ! Every individual that worked there was welcoming and very friendly which created a tranquil environment.
Looking forward to more tattoo sessions in the future!!

R.I got a tattoo with Hono whilst on holiday in Queenstown, and it was an awesome experience! I really appreciated that Hono gave me time and advice with trying a few different sizes and placements until I was 100% happy. She was a perfectionist with the line work, and I am so happy with how my tattoo turned out. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, and it was great to see so many women working there too. I'll definitely be back!
E.By far the best tattoo studio I've ever been to. The staff made me feel warm, welcome and comfortable. The artist were super understanding with the placement changes I wanted to make which made the experience even better. The studio is clean and professional and a good environment in general. The tattoo itself was done beautifully with crisp lines throughout. The artist was so gentle and the tattoo was almost pain free. Will definitely be back for more.

I.Excellent experience! I got tattooed by Leila - skadi.ink.
She did a fine line floral sleeve, and from the very first chat, I trusted her to freehand the piece. Leila was very thorough, and I felt safe throughout the entire process - even after 12 hours, she was still as skilled and precise as in the beginning. I'm very impressed with her detail and how focused she was. A true artist with a needle!
The entire studio has a great vibe and is very clean. The other staff are lovely and professional :)

H.I was absolutely blown away with the level of professionalism the team at Zealand Tattoo provided. Everything from the initial enquiry, booking and welcome right through to actual tattoo was so incredibly considered.
The day started with a consultation with the AMAZING Grover who looked at some designs I had liked online and somehow pulled it together, put a spin on it so it was individual to me. The place was relaxing and great vibes and before you knew it my tattoo was done.
The tattoo itself (a detailed mandala piece) has recieved so many compliments, the line work was so on point! Like REALLY on point!
Would i recommend Zealand (and Grover), hell yes.... In fact I'm already making excuses to fly back to Queenstown for another one! Put this on your Queenstown itinerary, you will not be disappointed!
T.After speaking to a number of a parlours in Queenstown my partner and I decided to go with Zealand based on the professional communication & patience of the staff.
We do not regret making this decision as upon arrival the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating (this was during level 2 quarantine)
I am a bit of a pain and couldn’t make up my mind but the artist took extra time designing and tweaking it as my mind changed, not showing frustration even when I nearly double backed on the idea.
My tattoo was quite finicky, as it was black line work, but the artist did an amazing job and I’m thrilled with the result.
Can highly recommend this parlour, it is clean, staff are friendly and professional
I’ll be back to finish my sleeve.

Update - after a wonderful experience a few months ago I walked into Zealand Tattoo again yesterday and was lucky enough to be tattooed by the wonderful Leila. J.After travelling down the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand to spend some time in Queenstown, I wanted a tattoo to represent the trip. I was a little apprehensive about the design because my tattoo had to be an abstract, geometric representation of the trip, with some personalised aspects. The people at Zealand were very professional right from the start, and the vibe from the place shouts bespoke design and quality. Parth was able to elicit my ideas and formulate a unique design which was exactly what I wanted. Parth and the others at Zealand are very personable and relaxed. C.I had an exciting tattoo was just over a year old. Was not happy with the way it turned out after it healed (note the tattoo was NOT from Zealand tattoo) So I contacted the team at Zealand Tattoo in Queenstown super helpful and really friendly bunch of people. They set me up with a tattooist called Inkee. After a long 6.45hrs in the chair under the needle Inkee did the most AMAZING job on my tattoo. Completely new and improved tattoo and I couldn't he happier with.

J.Went in with a friend to commemorate our travels in New Zealand. At first was a bit shocked at how much it would cost compare to some of the prices I get quoted on. After some explaning by Eduardo, got a better understanding on how it is being priced so agreed to get this piece done by Grover. The whole designing to tattooing process was amazing despite a very quiet session. At the end was very happy how my piece turn out, especially how Grover incorporated the meanings I wanted into my Maori Band. If i ever return to NZ again, definitely will return to Grover for another piece.
Overall experience is amazing, but do prepared to pay for a quality piece, basically you pay for the quality you want. If you have strict budget, speak to Eduardo to work around you budget.

The only negative is, it’s a pity you don’t have any merchandise to purchase (t-shirt) as this would be great to take home to Australia to also promote the shop as well, as the great tattoos.

I explained to the manager my tight schedule and they squeezed me in despite closing soon and having a complicated art piece. The manager (Zane I believe) gave me an informative background about the Maori artwork so I could create a tailored piece that was uniquely me, Perth, my artist, took the time to draw out the piece to the location I choose. Once the stencil was done, he worked on me straight for 3 hours (way past closing time) and ended up with an absolutely beautiful piece. I definitely recommend these guys if you're looking for something that is personal and incorporates the Maori influence.
