I did my first tattoo here with Tua (@asomua_taupoutatau). Can´t be more pleased about it. Everything was very smooth, clean and chill. Atmosphere was very nice and so were the other artists in the studio. Very recommended for polynesian style tattoo, even they also do other kind of tattoos. Tua was very patient, funny and fussy, in a good way, trying to make a perfect tatto. Also took good care before, during and after the ink. He even sent me a detailed explanation of my tattoo afterwards. Completely recommended place to go for a lifetime piece of art. Thank you Taupou team ;)

Got the top half of my sleeve done here by Andy and bottom half by Jaco. Awesome shop.. Cool atmosphere cool people and incredible artists. Theyre really into the concept of individualism meaning they dont copy other tattoos and will definitely create something truely yours. Highly recommend them.

I figured since I'm going to be in New Zealand and I love tattoos, might as well get a Polynesian piece while there. I did my research and after looking at several studios, I found Taupou Tatau Tattoo Studio on google and Instagram. So I contacted the shop manager, Sapphire, who contacted me back within a very quick time frame, and we discussed price ( 150/hr)(also keep in mind cash only) and lastly the design. She set me up with a young man by the name of Tua then the appointment date. I got to the shop the day of my appointment and was delighted at the setup of the shop, the cleanliness, and the energy of the shop was friendly. I met my artist Tua, who knew what I wanted from the information I gave Sapphire and we went ahead and jumped in. He started the session by drawing and designing a custom piece that went on my left pectoral (called a plate). We then began the tattooing process and it took a total of 4.5 hours. No words can describe how impressed and in awe I am of my tattoo and yes I definitely say my tattoo because no one else will ever have this exact design. Every time I look at this tattoo I find a something new and I love that! Thank you Tua for an amazing tattoo and great experience.

Andy has blown us away with his exceptional freestyle artwork! You actually wouldnt believe it til you see the work in progress. We are left speechless & astounded at his ability to create such designs on the day 👍👏We also had a cut done by Peter to which we are very impressed with - awesome! Taupou Tatau is the place to go for that polynesian feel..they have definitely exceeded our expectations more than what we expected. Thanks SOO much guys.

Vicktor was fantastic! He created beautiful tattoos for us that told out stories and represented our whanau and story perfectly. A really talanted artist! The other guys were great too.
