S.Unfortunately not the best experience. Cost was $3 more than competitors from Hotel to Railway Station, then adding $2.30 to use debit card. Thankfully because of a technical hitch my card declined so I paid cash...meaning I didn't have to incur the extra charge. Driver definitely not the most personable chap either.

D.honestly cant thank you guys enough from the ones answering the phones to the guys driving ,for the past 3 weeks you guys have got me to and from the hospital on time an safely the drivers are friendy funny an at times even givin me support when i was a little down , i definitly have a new found respect for what you do an how you do it , you are by far the bests bunch of guys the best taxi company ,i would even go as far as calling you my mates ,i will only ever call you an highly recommend to everyone ,thank you so much ,i wish you all well ,sincerely danny
C.Best wheelchair service in Christchurch. Use them first! Large toyota vans able to accommodate the largest power chair and heaps of luggage. Attentive drivers who use the most direct route and help with loading and unloading. Make them your first call if you need a wheelchair van in Christchurch!

I had an issue with my ticket and a glitch on the air nz app. He ran in to the airport with me to make sure I would be looked after. I will be using your service next time I come to town. Unfortunately I booked another taxis service to the airport this morning and waited on the street for 40 minutes making numerous phone calls to them and they didnt turn up. M.This is a very good taxi service. Never undersell the quality of a safe secure ride with a professional branded taxi service. Cheap is not necessarily better. The communication systems and a central control is well worth the extra you pay for the service. This is not just a car ride but it is personal safety, customer service and peace of mind you will get to your destination on time. I recommend Gold Band Taxis as a great choice for both personal and business transportation.
A.Very happy with Gold Band taxis. I rang their Christchurch office yesterday evening to ask if I had left something very important in a cab several hours earlier. Supervisor Terry rang me back within minutes to say he had located the driver who had then searched the car and the item was not found. (I later found it at the bottom of my luggage, thank goodness!) The concern and quick response was very welcome and impressive. Thank you!
A.Have used this service multiple times. They've always been super efficient and quick to pick up. Cars always clean and most drivers friendly. Today in particular I had a lovely gentleman, SACH1, whose customer service was top notch.

G.I caught a taxi at 5am to the airport this morning. I was worried after so many bad reviews of taxis in ChCh but my experience was really good. The taxi arrived about 5 mins early so was waiting for me in my driveway. I did double check with the call centre about 15 mins before and they were really helpful. I guess everyone has bad experiences with taxis but Gold Band worked for me. The driver was really courteous and helpful. Just thought I would share some good news for a change.
C.I had a great experience with Gold Band Taxis. Got from the airport to Lincoln in good time, and the car was comfortable and clean. Had an interesting chat with Brian the driver, and he was helpful with bags, etc.
L.Caught a taxi in the early hours of Saturday night which arrived exactly when I was told it would be, the driver was a real nice guy who I held a conversation with the whole time and went straight to the destination without any detours, but as I was leaving the taxi I managed to displace my wallet, although customer service was helpful with getting in contact with the taxi, it was still a frustrating task of arranging to pick up my wallet as I was not told about any lost and found office to pick it up so back and forward texts were a huge hassle for collection, apart from this incident my experience with Gold Band was very good and I highly recommend them as a fast and efficient taxi service.
J.Reviews suggest this taxi service is either all or nothing. My driver, Patel, was great. Really friendly and told me lots about Christchurch and how I should spend my single day in the city.
Only issue is that it was bloody expensive. Taxi into the city was $58. I know Uber is cheaper anyway but I was quoted $24 with them (no cars available when I needed), I expected the taxi to be $35 or maybe $40.

On the day the driver called to let us know she was running a few minutes late. No stress on our part, pleased to have been called to let us know - clearly a busy day for them with the cricket.
