we really enjoyed our flights to and from Wellington from Takaka. The flight is convenient and means we did not have to travel by car to Nelson to start out trip away. The flight is very scenic and i think worth the price; an awesome experience

We used Golden Bay for their shuttle service coming back from Abel Tasman. Great communication and great service ! The driver was on time, told us stories and facts about the region all through the way, gave us some advice on places to go to for the rest of our trip, and dropped us right in front of our hostel. I definitely recommend them!

A very professional operation from booking through to end of flight. I flew in one day Motueka to Masterton return. Glen, the pilot, was friendly, professional, experienced and safe. Communication was great from the first email to the team. Highly recommend Golden Bay Air.

An excellent and handy way to get to and from the Heaphy Track. We took a shuttle from Nelson to Brown Hut to start the walk and then a shuttle to Karamea and flight back to Nelson afterwards. The weather didn't look too good for flying but turned out to be just good enough to get us on our way. The team had a back up plan for us just in case which helped put our minds at ease. Really appreciated the friendly and helpful support from the team. The flight back to Nelson over the Karamea River was a real highlight after a long walk.

Brilliant service. Our group of 6 did the Heaphy Track package with pick up in Nelson and shuttle transfer to the trail head at Brown Hut. At the end of the hike, we were picked up at the track end and shuttled to Karamea airfield. The flight back to Nelson was spectacular. Both the shuttle drivers and pilot were very professional, courteous and welcoming. A fantastic trip which we highly recommend.

We flew from Wellington to Takaka. Great flight over. We also used their shuttle service to get to town and to the start of Able Tasman to go tramping. To top it all off we were also able to buy gas canisters from them for our camping stove. Great service and will definitely use again!

Such a great company, the staff made sure all our needs were met, even as circumstances were changing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone doing the heaphy track and needing to make it to the start or end of the track.

Great day for transport by air. Clear and smooth flight and van from Wellington to the Heaphy track. Putting on a van and providing gas and matches was a real win for us.

Richard and the team looked after me well and were able to assist me rapidly when I was forced to make a last-minute change to my itinerary. Using Golden Bay to fly from Wellington to Takaka (a stunning flight, by the way) turned out to be much more efficient and cost-effective than other transport options for getting to the Heaphy Track. Definitely recommend this company!

I flew with Golden Bay Air from Wellington to Takaka and return after 5 days in Golden Bay, and both flights were a highlight of the trip. Pilot Vincent was professional, courteous and conducted both sectors safely in challenging, overcast and wet conditions. Once clear of cloud the views were fantastic - it really is a beautiful part of the country.

My partner and I did the Grand Tour yesterday and were so pleased with our decision to take the 'ultimate' option and not miss any of these great sights. Our pilot Vincent was informative, friendly and chatty which is always much appreciated, especially when our booking had been relatively last minute and he had a big day scheduled. The Cobb Valley was a major highlight, it's not likely this would have been my first option but it ended up being our favourite section, especially the Dragon's teeth up close- absolutely exceptional. VJ is a new pilot there who accompanied us and was also friendly and helpful. Great customer service from Richard (owner) on the phone and an all round very positive experience, well worth the money. A must do in Golden Bay :)

Fabulous flight and extremely helpful people. Because of poor weather conditions at our destination we had to turn back and come back to Takaka airport.
