These guys were amazing to deal with. I suffer from seasickness so spoke to their office who offered to transfer me to the catamaran for free if it was rough on the water. No need as it was like glass and I was able to stand at the front. We were first to the track and first to choose the bunks too. Upon leaving the track the boat arrived promptly and we were off before 1pm while everyone else had to wait. They even supplied me with a mask

The Team are amazing! I booked 3 of Fiordlands Great walks for this season and Christine was amazing at organising all my transport, answering questions and making sure I had a great time. Can’t recommend more highly.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had a group of 12 people running the Milford Track in a day, and Fiordland Outdoors Co made that possible. The communication was clear, the service was fantastic (they even ferried a chilly bin of cold beers to Glade Wharf for us), and they were very accommodating (we took longer than expected and that was not an issue). Highly recommend!

Right from the get go Christine's advice was so, so helpful in stitching together a day for eight of us to run the Milford Track - and on the day, the staff were great from Gumboot Greg at the Milford Sound end through to Mellow Mike at the Glade end, nothing was a problem - this is a great family owned and run business - simply, just a great pleasure to deal with and everything worked as they said it would - definitely worthy of every bit of support possible

Fiordland outdoors is an incredibly honest and reliable booking/tour company based in Te Anau, and with the service we experienced it’s no wonder they have only 5 star reviews. Christine and Co (it’s a family business) were super friendly, helpful and obliging and happy to organise every aspect of our Fiordland trip- they really are a one stop shop. Do yourself a favour and book it all through them, especially the Milford transfers. Thanks so much guys, we look forward to making it back down.

We used Fiordland outdoors for our transfers to and from the Milford Track. We had friends using other carriers and we found fiordland outdoors to be far superior. Faster boats with fewer people meant we were the first ones on and off the track plus the ability to wait at the lodge and enjoy hot food and beer and the end of the track is a must!! Thanks guys!

We used Fiordland Outdoors to arrange our travel to/from the Milford Track. They were great and had really good communication the whole time. The bus drivers and jet boat drivers were fantastic.

We booked track transport with these guys for both the Routeburn and Milford Tracks, plus some added extras at the end of the Milford. Fabulous service, friendly and experienced team and great communication throughout. Highly recommend and would book with them again.

My fiancee and I used Fiordland Outdoors Co to arrange transport with their partner, Cheeky Kiwi Transport, to and from both the Milford and Routeburn tracks. We couldn't have asked for better service. With prices on par with the competitors, we're really glad we went with this small, locally owned business. They really took care of us, including spotting and correcting a mistake I'd make in the timing of the booking. Our driver was hugely knowledgeable and fun to listen to, and everything ran perfectly on time.

We used Fiordland Outdoors to get to and from the Milford track and it was awesome being able to support a small family run business during these tough times. Their boat to Glade wharf was fast and sturdy and arrived before the much larger competitors boat, their driver was knowledgeable and talked to us throughout the crossing. At the other end, we had a seamless escape from the sandflies when our boat was there early to pick us up from Sandfly point to take us to Milford. On the way he organised for a Milford lodge shuttle to pick us up and take us to the lodge for pizza and beer...couldn't have requested a more perfect end to the trip! The bus back to Te anau downs was very comfortable and the driver very chatty and got everybody talking, especially about the Moose on the bus. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again! The logistics for the Milford Track can be quite challenging. Fiordland Outdoors made it easy and everyone along the way was genuinely friendly. I highly recommend for your trip planning.

This is my email to the team at Fiordland Outdoors Co. after completing the Milford Track... Oh my god Christine! We've just got back into Queenstown after the most incredible experience on the Milford track. All of us were blown away and the weather was absolutely stellar! We still saw plenty of water falls and even got to take a swim each day. My friends who have done the track will not believe word I say, so thank God for photos 🤣 Thank you so much to you and your team for making our experience so seamless. The awesome boat driver could see how thirsty we all were and sorted the lodge van to pick us up and take us back for bubbles, pizza and fries, then delivered us back in time for the most amazing scenic flight of our lives. Used fiordland outdoors for two trips to the milford track (2x boat trip and shuttle relocation) and the routeburn (car relocation). Both were well organized and ran like clockwork. Special call out they dealt with my car on a relocation after it broke down including somehow managing to get word to the hut ranger on the routeburn to let us know the the situation and change in plans! This is definitely going the extra mile and would absolutely book through this company again.

We booked with Fiordland Outdoors for our recent family trip to walk the Milford Track. All transport from Queenstown to the Track and back was organised for us with a single booking. Fiordland Outdoors teamed up with Cheeky Kiwi and the Milford Lodge for a comfortable and seamless journey. These guys are awesome! We managed to get away to the start of Milford earlier than planned and similarly our return was easy peasy. Fun and relaxed captains - was easy to book and deal with and we even got a history lesson along the way! Highly recommend.

Used the water taxi to Sandfly Pt for a day walk to the falls, we were late but that was ok as we were the only ones wanting a trip at the time. On the return journey again the only ones aboard, just timed it right between some groups of trampers. Fast, efficient, friendly service. Thanks! :-)

Effortless transfers to and from the Milford track, friendly staff with lots of local knowledge. Just make sure you put your phone in a safe pocket so Sam doesn't have to fish it out of Lake Te Anau for you =)

Caught the bus from Te Anau to THe Divide. Wonderful driver. Normally I like to drive in silence and think, but this guy was great. Engaging, helpful. I learnt so much. The Routeburn tramp was better because of him. Who would have thought!!

I don't know If i have words enough to describe what a magnificent day myself and a select number of club members of the Wakatipu Anglers Club had when we organised a winter trip to Te Anau to fish the Waiau River. The team at Fiordland Outdoors were incredibly helpful and set everything up for us. Mark and Christine were fantastic at organizing everything and put together a fantastic package for the club. On the day we had 2 boats for a large group of us. The boats were beautiful, smooth and quiet. They had obviously been set up specifically for the job and they did it in style! Dion and Ken, our drivers were top notch guides, extremely skilled drivers and lovely blokes to boot. Both of them worked there so hard to get everyone fish through the day. I seriously cant think of two better people to run these boats. I guarantee that if you go out for a day with either of these guys you WILL have an amazing day!!! What can I say about the river itself? Well as my wife said it felt like we were on the set of some amazing fly fishing move set. Picturesque beauty, and a fly fishing wonderland. The amount of fish in that fishery has to be seen to be believed. We were catching plump healthy fish on drys at the end of May? The hatches of large mayfly were something to behold. The river is truly alive! As a fly fisher with 40+ years under my belt, I have to say I was blown away by this river. If you love your fly fishing then this is defiantly one of those places you have to fish before you die. I also double handed rod fish (Spey fishing) and this river could not be more perfect for it. Most of the club members were also fishing double handed rods and we all agreed that there is a lifetimes worth of water there to fish. Now I just cant wait to fish it again in summer when Dion and Ken said its even better fishing! woww Without these guys the river is almost inaccessible, so id suggest you book yourself in right now!

We used Fiordland Outdoors to book our Milford Track transport. They also gave us great advice on car relocation, accommodation and boat cruises in Milford Sound. They use smaller boats which are quicker so we arrived well ahead of the main group in the larger boat at the start of the track. At the end of the track it was awesome as we went straight onto a boat while a large group of people were left waiting for their boat at the aptly named sandfly point! Don't hesitate to arrive a little bit early because as soon as they have around 10 people the boat can depart. Would thoroughly recommend Fiordland Outdoors for Milford Track transport and if you're unsure of anything just ring them as they have the experience to provide great advice.

My wife and I did a half day trip. Mark our guide was extremely patient with my wife who had never spin fished before. While the river was running very high and fast we got some fish. Mark went the extra mile to make it a great experience

We used Fiordland Outdoor to arrange our Milford Track transport for a family of 5, and car transfer. We were collected on time from Te Anau Downs and dropped at the beginning of the track in relative comfort. A bit bumpy but the seats are padded! At the end of the trek, the transport arrived an hour early about 5 minutes after we did - perfect for us! They make several trips back & forth so no worries if you're not there right at 2pm (or 1pm this time). The car was right where it was meant to be, safe & sound at Milford which was great after a long day out along the Arthur River. Thanks guys!

We used the Fiordland Outdoors Company for our transport to and from the Milford Track. One of our bags did not arrive with our flight, which could have ruined our entire trip, however, Christine stepped up and went above and beyond to make it possible for us to continue our journey as planned. Outstanding service, well organised and professional. I can't recommend them enough!

From booking process to the trip itself on the boat, was easy and the service was great in that wonderful friendly and professional kiwi way that I love. The boat trip from Te Anau Downs to Glade Wharf and then back (we went during the Milford Track being partially closed) was very good and we were made to feel welcome and safe even though the lake was rather choppy and I was travelling with a three year old (she loved it - the bot she was awake for.) If you want transport to the Milford track I would highly recommend.

Wonderful team. Helped us plan our trip. The fastest boats in and out of Milford Track. The other trampers had to wait for the big boats. We showed up and left. At the end of our hike we were early for our boat, they were waiting for us and whisked us off while everyone else waiting at Sandfly Point... with the clouds of Sandflies. Then they dropped us off and we had time for beers and champagne at a beautiful lodge while the other trampers waited at the bus stop for 2 hours. Best way to end the hike!! Highly recommend using Fiordland Outdoors over the other companies.

Excellent service, will definitely use these guys again. Putting in the dates we were on the Milford track and knowing everything was sorted just made life easier. Mike took us to Glade Wharf - was great to see him again as he took us to Brod Bay for the Kepler track last year. Great guy, and a fun, fast boat trip.

Used these guys for our Milford Track transport over Christmas and was very happy with everything. Super smooth, good value and felt kind of nicer getting a more intimate experience on the boats with smaller groups and good yarns from the crew. Support small business' folks, book these guys!

We used Fiordland Outdoors to book transport to both the Milford and Routeburn tracks back to back. Everything ran very smoothly, we were not rushed and really enjoyed the trip. We also organised a bag drop for our food for the second walk. Excellent service, would book again through them.

Last minute booked our transport to the Milford Track in the beginning of May. While we had trouble getting a taxi with other companies, Fiordland Outdoors co immediately welcomed us. Unlike other companies who need around 1,5 or 2 hours, this company has a small and quick boat, already there in an hour! So that gives a comfortable early start on the hike. The Skipper (I think his name was Mark) was really friendly and knowledgeable, already had the boat heated before boarding so it was nice and warm. And on the way out, the timing from boat and bus were seamless, skipper a bit less nice but bus driver the kindest. Even stopping for some air after partner felt a little sick. Really happy and still amazed at the efficiency of this small company. And no, I am not sponsored haha. Good luck to you!

We are a group of Trampers who tackled the Milford track 1 week ago. Unfortunately, we stuck in the 2nd hut (Mintaro Hut) due to the bad weather. We decided to turn back to glade wharf and we are surprised TJ (Boat skipper) is on time. He arrived at the right time that we reach the wharf. We are the first group pick up by the boat on that day which is a big relief to us to get in the boat straight away and not waiting in the rain. Moreover, the booking is so easy and Mark and Christine are patiently replying my question promptly. I will book again and recommend Fiordland outdoors to my friends and tramping communities.

Provided water taxi from Glade Wharf to Te Anau Downs after my wife and I ran the Milford Track. Ken made the trip fun as well as safe and efficient. He even had some cool drinks to offer, which were much appreciated! Would highly recommend!

If only Google allowed more stars for exceptional businesses and service I would give you 10 stars. We all had such a wonderful day out on the Milford Track with your assistance. The trip across Lake Te Anau in your beautiful water taxi was fantastic. Scenery awesome and our drivers ( Colins) commentary very interesting. Our day walk on the track was a marvel. Colins unscheduled assistance to one party's request to fish the Clinton River was also memorable. It's a big river and hard to fish at its mouth but Colin moved the water taxi to give the best casts. Some of our party were concerned about crossing a big lake in a water taxi but your craft is big, sturdy and completely enclosed. We had a wonderful full day outing. Good weather helped but its your work behind the scenes that gave the foundation for a big and great day out. Thankyou and we will be back for another Fiordland adventure with you in the future.

I had a booking for the shuttle from Rainbow reach to Te Anau. I was late because of the heavy rain, so, I rang up to ask if they could wait 10 mins. The driver waited 15 mins for me hence made my night, less stressful after 3 days of walk. They acted so humanely possible, very professional and courteous! Thanks for true NZ experience.

We did an eco-tour with a wonderful guide who showed us the Keppler Track and the trapping lines and invasive predator removal setup being run in the area. We loved being able to learn about this important part of New Zealand conservation and how the community is integrally involved. Out of all the so-called ecotours in the Milford Sound and Te Anau area, this actually felt like a low impact, highly educational event. Would definitely do again and highly recommend. Thanks, Kristoff and Nina, for such a great time!

Had a fantastic time doing all-day fly fishing on the Waiau river. Our guide Ken was knowledgable and very helpful and even made us a delicious BBQ lunch (one of our favorites on our whole trip!). A little pricier than others, but worth every penny.

Epic afternoon fishing for trout with Fiordland Outdoors Co. Our guide and driver Dion is a bloody great jet boat driver and excellent fishing instructor! He had me casting the soft bait consistently (well consistentlyish! 😂) and jigging to attract the numerous trout along the shores! We all netted a trout, both Brown and Rainbow, (I squealed like a little girl when I hooked mine!), explored the shores of the most beautiful lake in New Zealand (Lake Manapouri) and learnt alot about the local area and how to cast properly (not one handed like I always have been!) Special mention must also to go to Morgan for his amazing and addictive homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Always a pleasure getting a ride on the water taxi to the Wapiti Hunting Blocks. Great team of people and always willing to go the extra mile to help us out. Look forward to travelling with you again soon.

You will never fish another river like the Waiau, because it’s unique. It’s a big river with the highest trout density in NZ. Banks and landscapes are outstanding. It seems you fish in a freshwater mangrove sometimes. The guide manœuvres the jetboat in order to put you on the fish. You will be surprised how the jetboat is steady in the strong currents of the Waiau. Fish is 100% wild and pretty difficult to catch. Do not expect dozens of trout in a day. Rainbows are handsome and very very strong. The food at lunch is great too. Do not miss the NZ lobster and Christine’s sweets.
