I been visiting the devonport port for sometime now great place for fishing, its magical views of Auckland CBD , the place its very safe and clean and plenty of parking i highly recommend to visit.

Lovely to walk around the ferry terminal. They have bathrooms and brochures about Devonport. Eateries and bars are located here. One night I went here and had a beer, it had a lovely Mediterranean vibe. Feels like a holiday down here in Devonport.

Good fishing spot for big trevely,kingie, fun for the kids just don't forget the 5kg tubes of berly

From downtown to Devonport is just under 10mins via bus is 30mins.. nice scenery on a good day

This is an amazing place, city and harbour bridge views are excellent from here. Next time we gonna plan to take a ferry to the city, my kid gonna love that. We had a food in the beside restaurant devon at the wharf, whis was also a good experience 👌

I love riding the Fullers Devonport ferry. I sit there and rock with the rolling of the Waitemata and go through the memories made over the years crossing on this boat. The staff are friendly and the viewer are amazing. In the winter it's a comfy warm ride. XO

Great ferry, easy access to Auckland's town centre without having to get stuck in the traffic of the city centre. Beautiful views on the ride, quite short. Parking is quite limited though.

It was over 10y since we last took the ferry, it was a great trip. Visiting the peak.

Planning to take a bus to the city? Why not go by ferry? I would say it is the best mode of transportation to the city. You can find a parking space in Devonport. On weekends, parking is free. Go to the port and wait for the ferry. You may buy a ticket or just use your hop card. Convenient. Easy. Once you are in the boat, you will be awed by the sea view. What a beautiful sight. The boat also has a cafe so you can grab a quick snack. The trip does not take very long. Quicker done taking the bus. I just love it. I could not recommend it enough! You should not miss it.

Devonport is a great, quiet location with an abundance of restaurants and cafes. The streets are clean and there are plenty places to sit and relax.

If you are staying over on the North Shore taking the ferry is the best way to get across the harbor, no need to deal with the city traffic just catch a ferry, its reasonably priced too

The ferry is good, it's handy if you have AT hop card. You can just tag on n off. The ferry goes every half n hour between the city n Devonport. The ferry terminal at Devonport has been develope a lot n there are a fancy restaurant n coffee places. Ice cream shop attached to the restaurant was very popular even on a cold days. It's a quick way of being away from the city.

Well organized and laid out.10 mintes to Devonport just a taster. Lovely day to do it.

Our favourite way to travel in Auckland

If you're coming out of the building and turning left onto the ramp, there's no tag on machine. It's located to the right of the door on the outside, or use the one on the outside walkway

Devonport is a lovely area with beautiful old villas and delicious food in welcoming cafés. One of the best places in Auckland to go for a walk on the weekend

Great organized trip to see the boats on Friday. Lovely way to travel. Only negative I have to report is that I was charged for the ferry on Friday after 6pm coming back to the city when it should have been free. Now have to apply for a refund of that trip.

Been a while and the renovated building looks really good. Lots to see and buy, plenty of parking. Ferries were on-time like clockwork too!

Looks great after the renovation. Ferry is sometimes off time but it takes a very short time to get to Auckland city (around 10 minutes). The restaurants are great too.

Hadn't been here for a few years, it used to be a dump. But it's been tarted up and new businesses have been established, net result is it's almost a pleasure waiting for the ferry there... almost.

The ferry was very convenient and affordable. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a ride. Short trip to Devonport. If you catch the ride during sunset, you get a bonus view. Auckland City looks beautiful as is, but the view at sunset is even better...from the water. Get a HOP Card everyone. The ride becomes even cheaper.

Especially found the ticket staff met more than met our expectations. They were really informative and most helpful and sensitive to our needs.

Amazing place to be at specially if it's sunny outside. Now and then you can experience ferry arriving at departing. Clean bays and market and cafes nearby to enjoy with frnds and family.

I was taking ferry to Rangitoto Island, it was my first time to the island so I was a bit lost when purchasing the ferry ticket. The staff lady was really helpful, she explained patiently to me. Thumb up for fabulous customer service! Ferry departed on time, and arrived the Island on time. The day-trip was awesome and enjoyable.

Perfect weekend trip the price for the ferry is cheap and the trip lasts about 10 minutes to Devonport. It's a nice town and always worth for a trip. Also great walkway up the hill to Mount Victoria for a perfect view to downtown Auckland. Many shops down there in Devonport but touristy

We went down to the port at devonport to look at the lights over at Auckland city centre and watch the ferry come in and leave next time we are in Auckland we will take the ferry across to the cbd

The ferry is a great way to go to Waiheke from the North Shore. No need to face the hassle of AKL city.

There have been major upgrade since I been there a few years back. Nice cafe and bar right in wharf. Good place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze or sunshine.

We didn't catch a ferry, but intended to call in briefly to have a look. My husband asked one of the security people a tourist type question and 45mins later, we were all the more richer for it. In between his duties, Murray gave us so much information that you won't find in the travel guides. Thank you for employing such a treasure.

Excellent way to get to and from the city from Devonport, bike friendly, you need to wear a mask at the moment. Finding an AT Hop card in Devonport is impossible which is annoying, nearest location is halfway back down Lake Road.

Nice place to spend a evening. Options for fishing, walk or bike , or just chill out enjoying the amazing views of the city. Cruise ships are also a treat.

Modern ferry terminal with cafe, bars and eateries. There's an information kiosk and a few other souvenir shops. Ferry terminal is in a great location with unobstructed views of Auckland city. Ferry trip across from Auckland City to Devenport takes about 15 minutes. Onboard the Ferry you can buy drinks, Alcohol and snacks from the bar while admiring the view.

Delightful, delicious & delovely.

If you're heading to the CBD from the North Shore, the ferry can be a much more practical way to get there as you can avoid traffic and ludicrous parking prices. The sailings are a lot less regular compared to pre-COVID, but there's usually at least 1 sail to downtown every hour between 6am and 10pm. The ferry isn't hugely expensive, especially if you've got an AT HOP card and it usually takes around 15 minutes to travel across the harbour, with some nice views of the commercial ports or Devonport, depending on which side of the ferry you sit on. The staff on board are friendly and usually help to guide you to your next destination if you're travelling

The ferry takes around 12 minute from Auckland quay to Davenport. Must visit when in Auckland. It's not very far from Auckland. The ferry ride is enjoyable. The ferries are quite big and runs at every half an hour from Auckland quay. You need to buy ticket to travel. Davenport got lot of restaurants and beach is also very clean and beautiful at Davenport. Don't miss it if you are in Auckland.

The terminal is undergoing a 'facelift' and it's looking pretty awesome. Some Great eateries there too. As you exit the ferry, you're met by friendly staff to direct you. They also have fresh and clean public toilet facilitates.

Devonport could not do without this place. The ferry transits back and forth to the city accommodating all those on the shore. This runs every 30mins or less and is the best way to travel into town. They have afew cafes in there which have great food and coffee. The toilets are very clean. The ferry is right next to a park and rest area.

This ferry terminus building is simply amazing. I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of stuff available here. Friendly staff, information boards accurate, and a well presented and run operation.

We always park up in Devonport have a nice breakfast at one of the many excellent cafes in Devonport and then take the ferry over to the city it's a great day out and way less hassle than trying to park in the city.

nice and good. went on the free public transport day thing and there were lots of screaming little kids but then i went again on a regular day and it was very peaceful

Quick and affordable way to get into the city, while also having amazing views of the city day and night. The new ships also included usb ports which is very convenient when you need to charge your phone.

With a ferry departing every 30mins this is a great way to get across the harbour. I've used it several times now as a way of completing a bike ride through Riverhead and Albany, just rack the bike and get a 20min rest to feed and recover! I always reccomend it to visitors giving them a great view of the harbour and a stopover in Devonport.

Alwas love this trip to the city.and easy to park in Devonport then the city,there is 24 hour park down by the Navy base.

Always find it great to cross the harbour on the Devonport ferry. Often go across have lunch and come back I find it very restful away from the bustle of the city.
