It was my first winery tour, arranged by my wonderful employer as a part of quarterly employee engagement activity and I am so pleased that they picked hop n grape. Cameron was simply awesome. I found his extensive knowledge in wine making, quite interesting as he was very passionately expressing about the flavours of wine and also at what stage of wine making those flavours gets developed. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area and suggested me some excellent places to visit. The tour itself was a lovely experience for all of us. The tour was moulded as per our requirement. I would absolutely highly recommend hop n grape to anyone looking to experience natural beauty, wine and food of Marlborough.

We had a brilliant day out on the full day tour with Darlene. We tasted some fantastic wine, ate some great food and learned a lot about the winemaking process. Darlene was a really fun and knowledgeable host, she really made an effort to tailor the tour to our personal interests and made it a special day. We had our lovely tour guide Darlene who made our friend’s birthday celebration, extra special and fun! Not only we enjoyed tasting 30 different bottles of wine, but also learned a lot of history and fun facts about the process of wine making through out the tour. Darlene also made sure we weren’t drinking on an empty stomach, and brought us to Wairau River for lunch, where I devoured the best prawn dish I have ever tasted. I had so much fun! Definitely recommending this trip others :)

Our highlight during our NZ trip! Had a great experience with Philip during our full day wine tour! The vineyards he took us were all different yet amazing! Philip was extremely knowledgable about wine, beer and the whole Marlborough region itself. We also had an amazing lunch all together in one of the cellar door. We felt really lucky to be taken on such a personal tour of the wine regions. Cameron is really personable and as an ex-winemaker himself was able fill in a lot of gaps in our knowledge. He also knows EVERYBODY! We felt really well informed and welcome everywhere we were taken, and came away with a real appreciation for the region and its winemakers. A highlight was a long personal chat with the winemaker at Jackson Road, who talked (and drank!) us through his creations himself. Perfect day out, highly recommended!

I'm so pleased I picked Hop n Grape Tours for my first winery tour. Cam has an extensive knowledge of wine and the local area and not only imparted his knowledge of wine, but gave us some excellent local advise about the region. The tour itself was a really chilled experience, we visited several wineries and sampled quite a wide selection of wine varieties. Cam took us to Saint Clair Vinyard for lunch, and what a treat that was! During lunch Cam gaged what the group wanted and moulded the afternoon experience what we as a group had responded too. We ended up finishing the tour at the Moa Brewery and tasted a selection of beers. I can't fault the tour and would absolutely recommend this dynamic company to anyone looking to experience Marlborough wine and food. 10/10.

Highly recommend Hop n Grape Wine tours. Our guide Cameron was brilliant, really knowledgeable and great fun. The service is great - if there is a particular vineyard in the area you want to see they take suggestions - we specifically wanted to visit Bladen (I would recommend making this one of your stops). They also pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation if you are staying in the area. It is truly great value for the experience that you get.

Fantastic day out with a really great guide. We did a full day wine tour with Hop n Grape while in Blenhiem and it was certainly a highlight of our time in NZ. You probably cant go wrong with any of the companies in the area, but what we particuarly liked about Hop n Grape was the day made by our guide Darlene (a trained winemaker). The vineyard's you visit change daily so as to support as many businesses as possible, both big and small. As we only had a small group we were able to make requests of where to visit and managed a stop at an additional vineyard Darlene was able to organise at lunch. After the tour she was kind enough to drive us back to our hotels to drop off our wine purchases before giving us a ride into town to continue the evening with other guests we met on the tour.

This was a brilliant tour. Cam is a knowledgeable, funny and interesting tour guide. He gave us a great insight into winemaking and there were lots of delicious tastings. We have now been on two tours with this company and I highly recommend them!

My Partner and I did a full day private tour with Cam yesterday and we are so pleased we did. Cam is a great guy with an abundance of knowledge to share and a “no question is a silly question” approach. He provided us with a fantastic selection of wineries to visit and his local knowledge proved to be invaluable as we visited some gorgeous boutique off the beaten tourist path wineries that we wouldn’t have known of otherwise. We signed up for the Full Day Tour and had a great day with Cam today with our small group of seven. We were picked up from our accommodation, and were driven to different vineyards and wineries for a great experience of learning about the different type of wines. We were also given a chance to look at some of the mixers and were explained how the wines were made extensively. Cam is indeed a really good guide and is knowledgeable. Lunch stopover at Wairau River was fantastic too. It was the best wine tour we have ever had and I would recommend anyone to go on the tour with Cam and Hop n Grape!

The Full Day Wine Tour was awesome! We were collected from our Picton accommodation and loved everything about it!! The wine, the guide and the information we received. We visited 5 wineries, had some great laughs, met some lovely people and drank some delicious Marlborough wine. I can't recommend Hop n' Grape Wine Tours enough!!

Awesome time around the Marlborough wineries! We are from up north so didnt know the best cellar doors and wine tasting places around here. Cam was really great. Picked us up and took us to all the best places. He is a winemaker and everyone knows him so it was a really great day. Well worth the money. If you are thinking about doing a Wine tour in Blenheim we would recommend Hop n Grape.

We had a fantastic time on the Hop n Grape full day winemaker's tour with Darlene! We visited plenty of wineries, had a tasting at Moa brewery, a stop at the local chocolatier and a stop for strawberry ice cream! They really did their best to accommodate all our requests and tastes at each stop. It was really great value. Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took great care of us during our tour. I would thoroughly recommend Hop N Grape's all day tour. Having a vintner take us around definitely provided an extra dimension of knowledge that made this tour stand out for us amongst the many we have done around NZ. And the locals clearly love him which meant a few special treats at each vineyard we visited 😁 Popping on in to Mount Riley with the keys was definitely a plus! Pick-up was on-time, the choice of vineyards well-matched our requested tour objectives and lunch was drop dead gorgeous. Ridiculously good value for money. Book it.

I took a tour with Cameron yesterday and can say it was one of the best wine tours I’ve ever been on! Cameron has such an abundance of wine knowledge, having been a winemaker, and was able to answer everyone’s questions with such a unique approach. When I first got to the Marlborough region my first thought was: let’s go to cloudy bay since it’s one of the most well-known, however he brought us to some little hidden gems, family owned wineries that I probably wouldn’t of found on my own. Cameron also picks you up and drops you off from wherever you are staying so it’s a very relaxed experience from the very beginning. Thanks for the tour Cameron!

There's not much better than an afternoon visiting vineyards in Marlborough with Cam. He's a real pro and you can tell from his interactions that he loves what he does. He is really knowledgeable, and wherever you go people greet him fondly. This is the wine tour you need.

This is the best wine tour I have been on. From the time we were picked up to the time we were dropped off, Michael was professional, funny and knowledgeable. He picked a great selection of wineries (Framingham was my favourite) and had a knack of bringing the group together. It felt a lot more personalised being in a smaller group and Michael set the scene for us to be comfortable asking any questions, which we did - often! At the end we met Cameron who is also great value and was very reassuring at the time of booking (when I was worried about the possibility of another lockdown). A great day out with lovely people!

Awesome afternoon on the half day tour with Cam; he was extremely knowledgeable of the vineyards, wine, and winemaking process but was able to convey all that experience without talking down to anyone. Our group had a variety of wine drinkers from a former winemaker in Bulgaria to world travelers of vineyards to myself who doesn’t really drink wine and he was able to relate to everyone and relate the information to everyone with ease. Nonetheless everyone had a great time, great banter, and definitely recommend to anyone traveling to or around Blenheim. We had the most amazing day out with Cam. We visited a number of wineries along the way and doing the tour helped us to figure out where to go as there is so many choices. The wineries we visited were great and lunch at the St Clair winery was lovely. We also learned a lot along the way, the talks we got at some of the wineries has given a different appreciation for the taste of the wine and was so informative. We felt like we learnt so much. We chose this wine tour based on previous reviews and the fact the tour was run by a winemaker. Cam, our host, was so knowledgeable about the wines and region and was definitely the highlight of our tour. From walking through a working winery, tasting wine at 5 of the region’s top vineyards, to visiting a local brewery and chocolate factory, it was all fabulous! We would highly recommend this authentic tour to anyone keen on exploring the region.
