Really fantastic full day wine tour of the very best wineries and heritage / stories of the people involved. Really well operated, on time, flexible, helpful. Had a fantastic day on New Years Eve with Phil as our guide who was full of knowledge and a lot of fun too. It was made even better with the great people we met on the tour who we got on extremely well with, thanks ladies for making this a great day and were also joined by another great couple who were on the half day tour. All the cellar doors we went too were amazing with great relaxing settings, did not want to leave. We had lunch at St Claire vineyard which was amazing - great choice Phil. Cannot recommend this tour enough.

Took the 1/2 day outing with Marlborough Wine Tours. Such great fun and learned lots about wine from Phil. Great wine tour with Phil. The weather was dreadful but we were cosy & warm in all of the places we visited. The winery staff were lovely & our two other Aussie companions were a delightful young couple. We were in town on a cruise but booked this tour on line before we left. It was much cheaper than the on board offerings and more intimate as there was only four of us on tour that day. We received entertaining and personalised service in an air conditioned people mover and our driver avoided crowds by phoning the wineries ahead and organising our day so there were no queues. We had a great day, met some interesting wine people and tasted some very good wines. Very happy.

Look no more, this is the tour to take! This is a trip of a lifetime! Gavin was extremely educated and friendly. My husband and I were the youngest on this tour and never felt that way. Gavin had a way of making everyone feel like family. The views were incredible! Wine was delicious! Tour was amazing! I can’t wait to come back to New Zealand and do this tour again!

BEST WINE TOUR EVER! Highly recommend this company for your Marlborough Wine Tour. We went to 5 wineries in 4 hours (medium tour) and had wine tastings at all of them. We also had lunch at one of the wineries in between, at own cost but worth it. At the end of the day we had a choice of a 6th winery or chocolate factory. They even pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation! Our tour guide, Dean, was friendly, knowledgeable, and hilarious. He really made the tour memorable and interesting! Plus, he even gave us a feijoa fruit at the end. The whole trip was definitely worth the money! If you’re headed to Marlborough and looking for a wine tour, this is the company you want to book with to get the best experience!

My wife and I did the full day tour. Booking and pickup was easy. Pick up was local to where we were staying in Picton. We were extremely lucky that we had the first half of the day to ourselves and received a very personal tour. Our tour guide Nic was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable and even accomdated a visit to a winery of our choice. Thank you Phil - what a day‼️ An eclectic mix of wineries and a bonus visit to Makana Confections. The wine tastings were informative and plentiful. Our lunch stop at St Clair was perfect with an awesome menu to choose from. Framingham Winery won my heart and stole my palate - so delicious. Gibson Bridge was my favourite - thank you Julie, your enthusiasm was infectious, your Pinot Gris amazing. WhiteHaven Wines and Nautilus also gave a new perspective to other varietals. This was a day to remember and a day I would recommend to all.

With a group of 10 friends we did a tour with Jenny. Honestly it could not have been better. We had a great time, the time at the stops was perfect, tidy and safe transport, knowledgeable and friendly. We really just went on a wine trail with friends, the one driving was new and sober, but we felt very much it was a personal service. I can't speak highly enough of Jennifer. Thankyou, a great time.

Our Tour guide was Nic, she is very friendly and informative. We had a great time on the tour. All wineries we went to were great and we had plenty of time at each place to relax and enjoy the wines. I would recommend this tour for new and old wine lovers, as there is heaps to learn for people just getting into wines and lots to try for wine fans. On an average we tried 4 different type of wines at each stop and had a lunch stop (at your expense) to bond with the group. 5/5 stars overall. 🙂

Me & my partner were picked up & dropped off in Picton to Blenheim for the afternoon half-day tour. We were the only ones on the tour and we’re very thankful as other tour companies have minimums. We had an amazing time with our driver Phil on our wine tour! He catered the tour to our wine preferences & all wineries we visited were perfect. He gave us lots of insightful information about wine, their respective vineyards and Blenheim. We didn’t realise (our own fault) the half-day tour doesn’t have enough time for lunch but Phil was very flexible to fit in a cheese board for us during our first wine tasting. TIP: Would recommend having lunch prior to half-day tour OR better yet doing the full day wine tour! Overall, we highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again when we’re back :) Vineyards we visited : - Hunters - No.1 - Nautilus - Saint Claires - And if you’re nice to Phil he might even let you pop into the Boutique Chocolate Factory.

You visit 4 wineries, and they are happy to take recommendations on any wineries you would like to go to. He arrived to pick us up bang on time in Picton and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable throughout the afternoon. It was a small group but everyone got on well and we tasted some lovely wine. Such a great time! We visited six vineyards and had lunch over a six-hour tour and everything was fantastic. Our guide, Gavin, was very knowledgeable and wonderful overall and the rest of our group was a riot. My husband and I learned a ton and got to try lots of great wines along the way, walking away with a bottle from most vineyards we visited. Don’t hesitate to use Marlborough Wine Tours and ask for Gavin when you do!

On my visit to the Marlborough region I wanted to safely visit multiple wineries. Fortunately I found this tour and it was perfect. I was worried because my lodging was a little out-of-the-way but it was no problem for them to come pick me up. Phil was our driver and very knowledgeable about wines in the region. We were lucky to have him as our host. The wineries chosen were well thought out and I am grateful that they didn’t pick the larger wineries in favor of visiting the small and some up-and-coming wineries. We visit 6 wineries in total and didn’t feel rushed in any of our visits. This is a great option if you are lacking a designated driver and really want to enjoy the region.

My partner and I booked this tour via tripadvisor due to the number of great reviews and boy it did not disappoint. From the moment our guide Gavin picked us up it was great. Gavin was professional and very funny and took time to get to know a little about everyone from the start and throughout the day. His knowledge of New Zealand itself was amazing but even more impressing was his knowledge on wine. He answered each and every question that the group had in amazing detail. All of the wineries we visited were unique and the wines and staff there were great. We had lunch in a beautiful winery overlooking the vineyard where the food and wine were delicious. The time went so quick because it was a jam packed day and my partner and I were a little sad when it came to an end ( all good things must though, aye ) I can’t recommend this tour enough. 5 stars!!!

I visited on a cruise ship and booked this tour. Dean was very knowledgeable and obviously had chosen the wineries carefully and for variety. I did not feel rushed and Dean took the time to show us and talk about the region not just the wineries. I loved each winery, not just for their wines but their hospitality. We went to some bigger wineries such as Cloudy Bay but he also took us to some smaller ones, such as Fromm which is organic. Great way to spend a day getting to know these fabulous wines. Our guide, Nic, was knowledgeable and friendly about the local area as well as the vineyards she took us to. She always drove carefully and was considerate when parking, parking in shade whenever possible. We visited a range of vineyards from large businesses to small organic wineries. All of them were welcoming and we tasted a range of wines, 7 of them at one vineyard. Lunch at St. Clair was delicious.

We had a grand day out with Marlborough Wine Tours (on 12 January, 2019). Dean picked us up from our Blenheim hotel in a luxury SUV, and we were lucky to have him to ourselves for the day. He tailored our tour to suit our wine preferences, and his considerable knowledge - of wine-making, the vinyards and their owners - was evident throughout. He brought us to 6 different Cellar Doors and a really nice restaurant for lunch, all staffed by helpful and friendly experts. By the end of the day, we felt well-fed, well-informed, and perhaps slightly "merry". I'd thoroughly recommend their tours.

We did a full day tour during Easter. The day consisted of a 3 wine tastings prior to lunch with a 10 min stop a the chocolate factory in between, a wine tasting during lunch and two wine tastings after lunch. A total of 6 wineries with at least 5 wines to taste at each. The tour was relaxing in a sense that we didn't need to drive or figure out directions, muscle our way through a large Easter crowd of people and were immediately accommodated upon arrival. However I never felt like I could calmly take in the moment and just enjoy the wine. The whole day felt very rushed. Everyone was ready for lunch after the second winery and the place we went to for lunch only served light meals, eventhough very delicious, however since we didn't have time for starter before the main, the meals weren't sufficient in size for wine tasting stomachs. When it comes to wine I prefer quality over quantity. We decided to do this tour, rather than rent a car since that way both my partner and I could enjoy the wine without restrictions. I had researched and made a list of wineries I wanted to visit since the website states: "With our classic tours, we have no set wineries that we visit, as our guides decide on the day. We do like to try and accommodate all winery requests when possible." I was therefore very disappointed to discover this was not at all the case. The wineries had already been set in advance. Given the crowds at some places, this is understandable, however this statement makes me feel deceived about the product they offer. All in all I think this is a good tour for people who aren't too fussy about the particular wineries that are visited and want to fit as many into their tour as possible. Our driver was fantastic, highly knowledgeable about the wineries and the region and very friendly.

We really enjoyed this cruise ship tour. Organisation and communication were excellent. Lunch at Saint Clair winery was great quality in a lovely setting. We didn’t know in advance which wineries we were going to visit but they know the area well and we enjoyed each of the 4 wineries visited.

AMAZING DAY! Phil is first and foremost the greatest tour guide and took us to the most stunning, friendly wineries. Our whole group felt like family by the end of the day. Be prepared to drink a lot of white wine, as the Sauvignon Blanc is New Zealand’s pride and joy (this is great by me!). The lunch stop was heavenly, in both food taste and ambience. I DEFINITELY recommend Marlborough Wine Tours as your go-to in the region. They plan a fabulous day for you and take care of everything from hotel pick up to drop off.

We had a great tour of the Marlborough wine region! They picked us up at the hotel, and had 5 or 6 different wineries (or, Cellar Doors, as they’re called here) for us to try. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful vineyard, and tried many different varietals - Sauvignon blanc and Pinot noirs were especially great!

This was a great tour. We took the ferry over to Picton from the North Island and it was very easy to meet Nic, our driver, even though the ferry was an hour late. In fact, I sent them an e-mail that morning to let them know the ferry was late and got one right back that there would be no problem. The tour itself was excellent, with Nic having picked a really nice variety of Marlborough wineries, including a tiny one whose tasting room was basically a shed. I would definitely take a tour with this company again.

I had an absolutely wonderful couple of days with Marlborough Wine Tours. Jess helped me plan my stay in the area and was sympathetic when I had to unexpectedly change my plans. I went on a half day tour followed by a full day tour the day after and Jess made sure I visited different wineries on each tour. We really loved this experience with Marlborough wine tour. With my partner we are wine’s lovers and used to do some testing in France and Australia but this was the best ! Our driver Keith provide us a warm welcoming in the very comfortable aircon van. He told us interesting and detailed info on the region and the wine in general. In each winery, someone was waiting for us to start the wine testing at a table, generally in a garden facing the wines and the wonderful landscape of the beautiful Marlborough valley. Dean was a great guide. We had a lovely day and there were many laughs to be had. My mother, husband and I went along while the in laws looked after our littler baby and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend our baby free day! Great fun!

My whole group and I (my kiwi wife and my British parents) had a lovely wine tour with Nic. All the wineries were fantastic. It was particularly lovely to go to the Wairau River winery. My wife and I had their Sauvignon Blanc on the table at our wedding last year and it was lovely to see where it was made. Nic was very informative throughout the trip, and also had the thirst for learning through the tours to add interest for future groups. I left my sunglasses in the van and she very happily arranged for them to be returned to me. In summary, we had a brilliant and unique experience that my British parents particularly have not had before. Thank you

What an amazing time we had with Dean on our wine tour! We went to a bunch of excellent wineries in the Marlborough region, and learned a lot about the history and the up and coming wines in this area.
