My recent Alps to Ocean adventure was so much more than I had expected. The communication beforehand made everything clear, the guides went above and beyond my expectations, the accommodation was fantastic and all the little things (daily briefings, morning teas, helpful assistance for those unfamiliar with an e-bike etc) made the ride so much more enjoyable. I would encourage anyone thinking about riding the Alps to Ocean, or tackling any of the other adventures that Adventure South offer, to make contact with them and to embrace the opportunity.

Rode the Alps to Ocean Classic a couple of weeks ago with 6 other people. We all had a fantastic time, saw some awesome scenery (had to remember to look up sometimes!), and was a great time to go as it was really quiet. I used an ordinary mountain bike and found it a good challenge with a moderate level of fitness. Fiona (our tour operator) was very well organised and made the whole trip enjoyable and memorable. Hope to do some further trails with Adventure South in future.

We rode A2O with Adventure South. Great professional & knowledgeable guides who were very personable. They were able to caterer for a diverse group with varying skill levels, ensuring no one was left out or behind. If your looking for a company to ride with Adventure South are the team.

We cycled on the Around the Mountains trail, through some beautiful scenery. The leaders, Jono & Chris, were very friendly and helpful, and well organised. All the food provided was excellent. A great four days of cycling and sightseeing.

Loved every moment of the tour! I did the Marlborough & West Coast cycle ride and it was a blast, not only the riding but the hotels and restaurants that were part of the package were excellent. Our guide, Peter was amazing, always available, helping, and giving more then expected. He gave us lessons on the area, the animals, birds and offered extra biking and walks. Healthy snacks were provided along with tea stops in the morning. The rental bike was very nice but could have used a few more gears. Highly recommended!

Our group had a great time on this very scenic route. It was a mix of coastal and biking thro’ the long picturesque Moleworth valley on challenging gravel roads. Accommodation was top notch. The biking component is long and not for the faint hearted particularly across the Moleworth.

Awesome adventure on the Milford and Fiordland Hike Bike and Kayak. Great mix of activities to keep it exciting along with a great guide and great food. Thanks Adventure South.

We recently did the Alps 2 Ocean bike ride and had the best time. Adventure South NZ had everything organised, with a great variety of accommodation, great food, bikes were in great condition and even provided perfect weather. Our guides Sue & Alex were fantastic, nothing was too difficult for them to handle. Our group of 12 were a lot of fun. Lots of laughs during the day when riding. The scenery was to die for, with each day giving us a new challenge.

First time on a trail bike cycling tour and had a fantastic time, well supported by the experienced and knowledgable Marcus our tour leader and Carina his assistant leader who made every effort to try very hard to do her best. Both of them gave the experience an extra touch! The accommodation and meals were within my expectations, the best being at Waitaki Braids hosted by Katie White which is self contained and made so cosy I wished we had stayed another night. All cyclists were well taken care of, without being too overwhelmingly patronising. Keen eye were kept over our safety but we were allowed to make decisions on our own too. Met such interesting people in the group and made new friends. All were very supportive of me being an inexperienced rider. I was asked what is the one thing I like about the trip and my answer was “Everything”! I am definitely hooked on trail biking now!

I had an amazing time with Adventure South. I did both the South Lakes and the West Coast Cycle tours. The guides were very knowledgeable and changed routes as needed to keep us safe. They did everything they could to keep everyone happy. If you want to do a cycling or hiking tour look no further. They are a New Zealand company with guides that live in New Zealand.

I did the Alps to Ocean ride over the Christmas period and it really was a fantastic experience. Mad even better by our two hosts Marcus and Carina. Nothing was too much for both and I personally thank both for there experience and patience with our group. The accomadation was first class everywhere and meals and set up great. I found it casual just the way it should be and would recommend anyone to do this tour and if you get either Marcus or Carina you get a bonus. Thanks Guys and Girls

My wife and I did an Adventure South Nelson Great Taste Trail tour in November 2018. Besides the obvious (NZ is a great country), Adventure South provided an excellent itinerary which was staffed by friendly, enthusiastic and capable tour guides. The accommodation chosen was perfect and the schedule was flexible depending upon weather and group capability.

Great tours, great people. I have done 3 tours with Adventure South and am planning another. Highly reommended.

I just completed the Queenstown West Coast Ride on March 13th and the whole experience far exceeded my expectations. This was the second trip I have done with Adventure South and I cannot speak more highly of the organisation and the great guides/tour leaders. Dave Monks & Brett Strachan were great and were instrumental in bonding the group from the get go - Great trip and fantastic experience!!

If you are looking for an organised group cycling trip in New Zealand look no further.

I did the Queenstown Otago Rail Trail and loved it. Was such a great group of people, the accommodations were well chosen (there isn't much choice is some of the smaller places!), the meals were splendiferous and the bikes were good quality. They run a good trip.

Excellent from start to finish. A few hiccups were thrown in but was managed well by our guide Howie . Completely recommend!

It’s not just a bike ride, we hiked some great tracks, saw lots of sites, a few boat rides, and a great 3 hour catamaran ride...did I mention wine tasting? Just do it!
