A HUGE thank you to Jess for arranging our flight with Richie. I can't thank you both enough for making this work. There is a back story to this flight and the fact that we got to do it represents Richie's integrity. We had the most fabulous 30min flight over Christchurch enjoying the beauty of the city and coastline as well as seeing the extent of the earthquake's destruction. Richie's geological knowledge is excellent....he'll never fly me again after saying that 🙈...but I promise you this is a magical experience. Treat yourself or someone else. This is an experience you won't forget.

Had an awesome flight to see the Rakaia glaciers! Had no idea this place even existed! The views were so incredible we didn't want the flight to end! My favourite part was landing, looking over one of the glaciers and taking it all in over crayfish and champagne!! Would do again in a heartbeat! Thanks to the pilot Terry for all your knowledge and good laughs! We'll be back one day for sure!

So while I was working in Christchurch I decided that I wanted to become a helicopter pilot. This in a way was very out of the blue and although I went in to see the team in what I would call "tradie attire" they treated me professionally and seriously. I've had to return to Brisbane but I cannot wait to begin the process of becoming a commercial helicopter pilot and using my photography and video background to document the total process! Cannot wait to get back there 🚁

I can never be bothered leaving reviews, but these guys provided me with an amazing experience I'll never forget and I think people should know how mighty they are. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Entering the building, I was greeted by Jess who was very friendly and welcoming. I was introduced to the pilot and, after a safety briefing, he flew us into the mountains. Travelling in a helicopter gives a very different perspective than from a plane. For a start, you can get a lot closer to the mountains, and travel a lot slower. And the scenery from that seat was AMAZING. The pilot was very informative during the flight and, from what I could tell at least, he certainly knew how to handle the machine. For my first time in a helicopter, I was very relaxed with this guy in control. I always thought that flying in a helicopter was reserved for the rich and famous - but not with these guys. I was surprised how relatively inexpensive a 90 minute fight into the mountains was. In fact, next time I'm in Christchurch I'll be trying to book another flight. Highly recommend Christchurch Helicopters to anyone interested in seeing NZ from a stunning perspective.

Christchurch Helicopters were amazing! They made visiting New Zealand, & particularly the south island, one of the most incredibly holidays EVER! They are friendly, accommodating & ensure your experience is tailor-made to your wishes & what you want to see! I would go on & on...that's how good they are... I normally don't take the time to write reviews but recommend them so highly, I had to....thanks Jack & the whole crew!!

I usually don't write reviews.. This one I have to! I'm so impressed with the way these guys treated us. They are one of the friendliest bunch i met in Christchurch! We went there to see how handheld radios respond to helicopter noise. We anticipated to wait for one of their scenic flights to takeoff or land to do our tests. To our surprise, they turned on a helicopter just for our tests!! If we had a great experience by just walking in and getting helped, I can only imagine how lucky their customers are! I recommend them, and one day I look forward to fly with them :)

A fantastic group with a unique opportunity to see the beauty that is New Zealand down by Christchurch. Our pilot, Richie McCaw, was very personable and knowledgable of the area, terrain and obviously loves his job. The owner of the company, Terry, personally took an interest in making sure our experience was spot-on!

Don’t imagine that a lunchtime winery visit, and afternoon helicopter tour across Christchurch and Banks Peninsula with Christchurch Helicopters is a luxury reserved only for rock stars, tourists and executives. As a local, I can tell you there is no experience in Canterbury that is worth saving up for more than this! These guys give you an incredible experience, with five star service, that will leave you feeling like you’ve spent the day with friends. With their attention to detail and genuine kindness and consideration for your enjoyment, you will feel utterly spoiled and indulged. Five stars just don't seem enough!

My first activity in new zealand is trying to fly a heli. The experience is very exciting and tense. Jeff is very experience and patient as he try to guide me. I like to also thank philippa for taking care of my jacket(passport inside!) which i totally forget after the session Overall, i had a wonderful time.
