We were taking a Campervan trip around the Coromandel and were keen to get to the top of the peninsula. We called Hike and Bike to see if they could help us see the northern peninsula in a fun way. Wow! They do such an awesome job. Gavin and Lynette are down-to-earth locals who care about their region and their customers. They allow you to see their back yard in an intimate way ... they bring to life this special part of New Zealand in such an authentic manner. You’ll see it in a way you couldn’t otherwise. Totally recommend you call H&B when you’re visiting Coromandel.

Awesome experience! We hired 2 bikes with 1 child seat and traveled about 2.5h. The e bikes are convinient and allow even these who aren't in shape to enjoy the ride and trully experince the spectacular views of Coromondel town and its surroundings. The owners explained everything in detail, gave us a map with highlights of lookouts and routes and were nice and welcoming. Totally worth the money, highly recommend it!

Our two families of nine (ranging from 12-47 years old) had an absolutely amazing bike ride. The owners dropped us off at the top of the Coromandel ranges and we biked for 7km in the bush and forestry, then came out on a farm near Colville. The views from the top of the ranges are spectacular over the Hauraki Gulf, islands and bays. You can't see that view from anywhere else. We then biked to Colville for a burger (good burger too), stopped for a swim in Waimete Beach and biked the coastal road back to Coromandel town, completing a 50km trip. It was a trip that we will remember for a very long time - for it's challenge, entertainment and spectacular scenery. Hike & Bike Coromandel were excellent and the bikes were perfect for the job. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a family day adventure to do this!
