Learning about New Zealand Awaits was the luckiest break for us. There was no way we could navigate the North and South Islands as well without Debbie to realistically plan it, recommend great accommodations, and pull it all together. We were "self-driven," which made us feel like explorers in a new country, but always with a destination—like the Maori village and geothermal springs, the phenomenal Siberian Experience near lovely Wanaka, and the wonderful Trips & Tramps tour at Milford Sound. The detailed info and tips we got gave us the confidence and comfort to be on our own in an endlessly beautiful country. We made every minute count (even the down time) and got the trip we dreamed of!

The virtual tours of both North and South Islands provided by NZ Awaits were a wonderful introduction to a place I've longed to visit. The photos and videos were spectacular and Debbie's commentary and background stories made it all accessible. I recommend these virtual tours to everyone.

This was our first-ever group tour and we are surely spoiled if we ever do another one! Debbie started planning our trip months in advance, and beautifully tailored it to our group's needs and interests. It could not have been more perfect. Debbie's deep knowledge of and passion for the land, people, and culture of New Zealand shined through on every leg of our journey. For our entire two week tour we felt completely nurtured and taken care of. We never had to worry about details because it had all been planned and executed expertly. Loved this small-group tour! Owner Debbie Clarke was our personal tour guide, and planned an amazing trip. Tailoring the tour to our interests, she organized an active, outdoors-oriented trip, which included ocean kayaking, hiking the base of Mt. Cook, cruising Milford Sound, and exploring glowworm caves. Restaurants and lodging were top-notch, and the local guides were knowledgeable and engaging. And of course the amazing scenery comes with the territory. Really the trip of a life-time!

We had an amazing trip planned out from NZ Awaits. We visited the North Island and were able to visit a variety of different areas. We kept Debbie’s notes with us the whole time, and always felt safe going from place to place. The accommodations chosen were all beautiful and very comfortable. I just told her the types of activities and places we’d like to visit and she whipped up an itinerary with everything we wanted to do! A mix of sight seeing, boat and river fishing, Maori village tour, hiking, geyser seeing, Hobbiton, wine tasting, etc, all with beautiful views! Will definitely travel with NZ Awaits again when we come back to visit the South Island. I wish I could use her in every country!

Due to the Covid Pandemic, things have changed when it comes to travel. Debbie has adapted with a wonderful small group zoom opportunity. She takes us to New Zealand and gives us the opportunity to see It through the eyes of a local without leaving the comfort of our homes. There is times to discuss the scenery and ask questions. It is such a blessing to have an local tour guide who embraces the Kiwi spirit. Can’t wait to see New Zealand with New Zealand awaits.

I’ve been anxious to go to NZ for almost 25 years. I always knew it was the almost perfect country on the planet and the most SANE. Ever since I read Janice Frame’s novels and Katherine Mansfield too. I’m very comfortable about this trip after we get the vaccine. I’m single and so it’s perfect. Straight couples get on my nerves and I feel excluded by them most of the time. I’m single and maybe bisexual who knows and so being with gay couples is much more fun than straight couples since they don’t care about single people., we are invisible and mutants to them.anyway This looks great and I want the secret haunts that Debbie will divulge when we get there. Debbie is as personable and warm as I had imagined.
