Rented a bike from Karl and got picked up at Horeke. Easy to deal with, very knowledgeable and best price of the companies operating. Highly recommend this company, bikes are excellent, cold water appreciated, and communication. Riding the trail is a must for those who love the outdoors.

This is a great place to be based for the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. Staff here are friendly & helpful. Their bikes were very comfortable. Being in Kaikohe, rather than at either end, meant we could leave our gear there both nights and not have to pack up each morning. Carl & John shuttled us back at the end of each day. Kaikohe is a high point on the track, so both days we were mostly cycling down hill!!! Our direction of travel was chosen based on the weather & wind. It's a beautiful track and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The actual hotel has pretty gardens and is an easy walk into town. The accommodation has all we needed, it's not flash, but it doesn't need to be. It's clean & tidy.

A great kiwi operation. I stayed on site in my RV...safe,secure and quiet. Carl really made our stay special...I asked for so many bits and pieces ( probably too many 😀) but Carl was so helpful and sorted everything. Carl also gave AMAZING comments/ commentary whilst couriering us back to Kaikohe base.

What a great place. Says backpackers, but it's pretty nice in the rooms. The guy Shane who runs it is a great host. He welcomed us in to watch the world cup on the huge TV. Had the whole family, no hassles. Even last minute.<br/>Cheers by the way!!

Thankyou very much for accommodating my request in offering us another room, my baby & I had such a awesome sleep & felt very comfortable over the weekend. The shower was awesome & bathroom was very modern as well as the room. Could be handy in putting a phone in the room as some people may not have a cellphone to contact emergency if needed too. Definitely be back.

Good service and transportation on the cycle trail. Not so sure about the bicycle mounting situation on the trailer, it puts a lot of bending moment into the front rim during transport.

Great service The rented bike worked perfectly (rented bikes normally don't work well). The person who picked us up from Horeke also gave us wonderful insights of the local Maori culture. Next time we will stay at the morel room from Twin Coast and do the other sight. Wonderfully dinner that night at the Leftbank restaurant, before driving home

Ideal one night stop over very clean comfortable bed just beware the bed sits on racing castors

Average place to stay but comfortable beds. No sink to wash dishes in and had to ask for tea towel and milk. Ok for price though. Come with your own hot water bottle. Close to town and supermarket very close

We got these guys to just transfer us and the bikes as the accomodation was booked out. From Kaikohe is the best place to ride the Trail, cycling downhill both days in opposite directions. Jade came and picked us up both days and at $30 per head for a special trip for 2 persons that's very reasonable. These guys have lovely vans and specialised bike trailers. I will definitely use these guys again when I come and ride the Trail for a second time. I think this is one of the better trails around, such diversity.

Man wurde etwas unfreundlich (grummelig) empfangen. Das Zimmer war eine Mischung aus sehr alten und sehr modernen Möbeln. Das Bad war sehr alt. Bei der Dusche hatte man das Gefühl, dass die Wanne gleich durchbricht..

Motel propre et tranquille, proche du centre de Horeke. Patron accueillant et sympathique. Nous avons une suite pour 6 personnes car le ménage de la chambre pour 2 personnes que nous avions réservée n'avait pas été fait. Un geste gracieux de la part du gérant.
