We did the Cape Reinga and 90 mile beach tour which was amazing. The huge vehicle running on the sand of the 90mileBeach was an experience by itself. We also enjoyed a lot the sand boarding activities. The driver was also the tour guide, well Versed and knowledgeable about the region. Only thing that could be improved was the lunch - I would expect a bit more quality there and maybe more local products. Recommended.

Great family day out. The buses themselves are roomy and air conditioned. Our driver Selwyn was friendly and kept the trip fun and informative. There are plenty of stops along the way to snap pictures of the beautiful far north. We enjoyed the visit to the lighthouse, and the kids loved sand boarding down the giant sand dune.

Amazing amazing experience up to the north during Waitangi holiday! Our driver Mr Subritzky was so humorous and full of knowledge and made every second of the tour full of fun and laughter !!!! We were having an absolute phenomenal time with him and the whole trip was just perfect. $60 well spent and we enjoyed it so much more than expected. My favorite experience was the sand boarding, and they provided free board so saved the hassle to rent one. 10 out of 10 and 120% would recommend to anyone who is keen to visit cape reinga.

Wow, what a wonderful experience. A full day of activities: fun bus ride about the top of Northland, regular pee stops at beautiful locations. Lunch provided simple and filling. Body surfing in the northern most beach, surfing the sand-dunes and best of all: a walk around Cape Reinga (WOW-WOW). Icecream morning tea from the BEST Dairy in NZ (giant scoops). Relaxed long drive along 90 mile beach. The Maori bus driver / tour guide, Jason, a real cool dude, great wit and a wealth of local knowledge. All this for $60/ea OMG. Best tour in NZ and we live here.

We had a fabulous trip with the amazing Jason as our guide. He was professional, informative, extremely witty with a fantastic down earth Kiwi humour. The day was fun, well timed, great stops along the way, great lunch. The sand dune sand boarding was great fun- (the safety briefing was excellent). I will highly recommend this day out to others. Extremely good value.

The tour is worth the money. Great way to run the 90 miles beach, visit the light house and see the west and east beaches of north island.

Jason was an excellent tour guide. His informative commentary and sense of humour made this a highlight during our visit to the far North for our group of six. We thought the tour was great value for money also. People like Jason are an asset to NZ tourism.

A fantastic experience! Starting the day off with a beautiful drive on 90 Mile beach and a short stop off for some fun on the sand dunes. Cape Reinga has stunning views even on an overcast day and plenty to see along the journey. Our driver/guide Jason was amazing! I would greatly recommend booking this tour, it's well worth it!

Despite not being a tours person generally, we really enjoyed this tour, and it is completely doable for everyone, our family group of 5 included an 80+ year old this time. Our tour guide driver managed the time really well, slowing down the east side half to await a very late low tide, with one more wait and see once we got to 90 miles beach and saw tide was still high. We saw a bus turn back before us (different company) but due to our timing and patience, we had a great safe drive along the beach. Great day, would recommend.

What a fabulous day out!! We did the Cape Reinga tour which included a drive along 90 mile beach, sand surfing, a visit to the Cape, and Rawawa beach. We also had a great picnic lunch on the beach. Jason our driver made it fun with his dry sense of humour. 'Most of it true🤣' We wouldn't normally do organised trips but had been recommended it and are very glad we did it! It was a great way to see this end of New Zealand and we got to do and see a lot more than we would of, had we driven ourselves!!

Great trip, highly recommend, great value for money, especially after looking at the price of other tour companies. The local driver (Selwyn)was excellent and shared a lot about him self which made the trip a lot better and friendly. Highly recommend Only thing is the truck/ bus was very hot, and needs some air conditioning or maybe windows that open? Other then that amazing trip and definitely recommend

Fabulous tour! I had family from overseas with me who thoroughly enjoyed the day. Loved the ice cream shop with the HUGE ice creams. Sandboarding down the dunes was heaps of fun even for this 74 year old! The Cape is always wonderful and we were blessed with a perfect day to view it. Danny is an accomplished driver/guide who ensured we all had a great day. I enjoyed learning things about Northland I didn't know.

Did the day tour of 90 mile beach and Cap Reinga with Harrison's. The tour was amazing with quite informative drivers. Plenty of stops for pics and food. The local ice cream shop was great on a hot day. The sand dunes were amazing to surf.

Great day tour at a reasonable price. You stop at a couple of spots along the way to Cape Reinga. Good amount of time spent at every spot. The dune boarding was fun. I’d definitely recommend going in summer. Our guide Danny was awesome and kept us entertained with stories and information along the way. The included lunch is poor and could be improved. You stop at the Kauri shop twice which is unecessary, it’s a way to get you to spend more. I recommend stopping there either on the way back so you can look around while they wash the truck, or in the morning and then drop everyone off first in the afternoon so we don’t have to wait around while the truck is washed.

We had nice day and really good fun .I want to mention our bus driver Danny what a good guy he is and the whole time we had so much fun he's very much up to date with all the information and he's always smiling that's what you want. Thanks Danny you have a good holiday season ahead. Thank you

Harrisons are fantastic. It must be 14 years since we went with them. I have since spoken to many who have done this tour and all are SO positive. I tell all I know....dont drive this call harrisons...and I have a motorhome and still wouldnt bother driving..,.i mean why would I. CONGRATULATIONS guys you deserve all kudos

Best $60 you could ever spent. Picked up from our motel @ 9am and delivered back at 5pm. Selwyn, our driver/tour guide was great. Good sense of humor and a wealth of local knowledge. His help and coaching with the sand boarding allowed this sooky nana to successfully complete it without any major injuries. I would so recommend this trip for all ages.

Sylwin took us today for our tour. I must say he is the best guy to go for this tour. He is very knowledgeable about areas, and kept us entertain thru out 8 hours long journey. Ask for him before booking the tour

I have been on this tour in 2014, 2016 and will be going again in 2019. it's my favourite and covers everything to see up north. The driver /guide was so friendly and amazing and gave us enough opportunities for beautiful Instagram pictures and a lifetime of memories

This was a really awesome tour. Selwyn our bus driver / guide was amazing, provided interesting information about the area, the drive along the 90mile beach is a unique experience, along with the sand boarding in the dunes. We had provided lunch in a really lovely cove. A perfect day! Thank you Harrison’s and Selwyn for a wonderful and very cost effective trip.

The trip is well worth the money. Danny was our guide/driver he was AMAZING! 10/10 lunch was poor and the air con wasnt working on the bus. However still gets 5 star from me.

Selwyn was a great tour guide. He made sure we stayed entertained throughout the whole ride, and shared a great deal of information about the Far North and each stop along the way. I was impressed by how many stops were made, and loved learning more about this beautiful country. This is a great deal and definitely worth the price. I would recommend this company to anyone, and thoroughly enjoyed my time on the bus. And for anyone who is vegan, like me, they do offer a plain bread roll if you request it beforehand (however I’m not sure if it’s vegan, and I’m sure is filled with yucky ingredients) and raisins. I wish they would have provided a fresh fruit option (such as an orange, apple, or banana) rather than raisins, and would like to see a healthy-ish vegan option such as a PB and J sandwich, or a little thing of hummus with veggie sticks. Just a recommendation! Thanks for a great time Harrison’s :)

Must-do when in Northland! We had the best time driving on 90 mile beach and up Te Paki stream. Sandboarding (optional) was soo much fun! The lunch was served at a beautiful spot at the beach. The views from Cape Reigna were absolutely stunning. Our guide, Selwyn, grew up in the area and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. At only $60, it's an absolute bargain for a great day out!

This is my 2nd time to use their service and it still thrills me to met the locals who run this business. They give us a tour for a whole day and I can totally say your $60 bucks are worth the money! If you want to explore places over Kaitaia and get to places without driving, this tour is a must. Totally worth my money.

This is really a must-do if you don't want to stay at the Cape for a few days. Harrisons Cape Runner offers you an 8 hours whole day trip following the whole of the Cape starting in Kaitaia. Riding over the ninety mile beach with a 4x4 with a lot of horsepower :P The guide gave us a lot of information on the locations and was very friendly as well. There is plenty of time when you make a stop at the different points. Lunch is also included with a cute food box with coffee, sandwiches and lemonade. The best thing is you can get it all for just 50$!! I didn't believe the price first but it's true :) would definitely recommend this.

My family of four (including my 6 & 8 year old daughters) absolutely loved the bus tour to Cape reinga with harrisons cape runners. Robin, our tour guide and bus driver held a wealth of knowledge and had a great sense of humour. The only recommendation I'd make is that there's enough boards for each of the passengers at the sand dunes, but other than that we had a fabulous time

Pouring day of rain didn't stop amazing experience on this tour. Tour guide/Bus driver Jason made the trip great with his Billy T James humour.

Very good service. Easy to book and nice staff. Very reasonable prices. Local drivers add to the great experience with local knowledge and trivia. The places included in the itinerary are interesting and one wouldn't go there unless known. Sand boarding is also included in the tour. Very highly recommended.

Selwyn is a great driver/tour guide. Loved the beach stop for lunch along with all the other little stops on the way there and back. Only suggestion to Harrisons would be to perhaps cut out time elsewhere if needed and allow more stopage time at the light house. Felt like the 45 mins given had us rushing a bit, didnt have enough time to soak in the beauty the place had to offer. Other than this good work guys.

Our Family of 8, had the best start to 2020 & we are so happy we booked with Harrison's.3 live locally, 3 Children from Kaikohe and 2 children from WA,we wanted to show our children where they are from and also the beauty of our area.We would highly recommend Harrison's Cape runner, the price for our large family was fantastic and even though there was only a 15min break to have a swim, we loved every minute of our trip. The ice cream in Te Kao was the sweetness of the day.Thank you Harrison's what a great start to 2020

Great day out. Excellent value. Strongly recommend their tours. Only small thing ... our bus was old, noisy and not air conditioned but even that did not detract from the fun of the day.

My wife and I recently went on a tour with Harrison's to Cape Reinga via the Ninty Mile Beach. We have been around the world numerous times and believe me ,we would rate this one of the best trips for value for money we have ever been on. Where for NZ $50 could you spend 8 hours touring the top of Northland , going sand boarding, visiting historic sites, going to the furtherest lighthouse in NZ visiting away out beautiful beaches and yes lunch thrown in . Our driver was local and so knowledgable. Why take your car and risk either getting stuck or worse still sand in the motor etc when for $50 of which $6 goes to the local conservation dept you can experience a wonderful tour. Graeme Percy

Easy to book with friendly desk staff, the entire tour was amazing with this Driver/Guide Robin who keep everyone entertained, amount of stops and knowledge. Highly recommend tours. Love their 400Hp 4X4 Truck-Bus.

The tour was very good but the whole booking process is annoying. We can't directly book online and need to send a booking request, then they contact you via email and ask you to call them to confirm your booking and pay on the phone giving your card detail. I did not always have access to my emails so missed received the email quite late and missed the part to call them to confirm but confirmed via email instead. The person in charge of my booking seemed annoyed that I did not call but confirmed via email and came across quite grumpy and with a tone that I did not really like. Because of that I almost canceled my booking. Despite of this poor booking experience, I had a great time during the tour and the driver was very very kind. In addition, it's completely worth the $50.

What a fantastic day! A must do in the North! Robin the driver of our 6x6 off road coach made it a fun day - stunning scenery and this is the only company that does 78km on the 90 mile beach!

Harrison Cape Reinga Runner is an amazing experience. Selwyn gave us a great Tour & Commentary of the Area. Definietely would go again when im up that way. Value for money & a packed full day. Lunch provided & ice cream stop & boogie boarding down sand dunes,heaps of fun! You get to go to travel round area's that you couldnt in a car. I highly recommend Harrisons Cape Reinga Tours. Very good tour, excellent value for money. We had a driver Selwyn who grew up in the area and gave us a running historic commentary that was very enlightening as to the early history

What a fantastic tour, brilliant tour guide. The whole family enjoyed it, including the two teenagers. Says a lot.

Cant fault the actual bus trip, driver or information, that was great. However what stops me from recommending this tour is the "picnic lunch". A lovely soft bun, butter was provided , but 2" by 3" hard unspreadable butter not enough for a packed bus of people. Fill for the roll was a small bier stick/ mini salami type sausage and a piece of plastic wrapped cheese. Also provided sachet of rice crackers , childrens small box of raisens and soft muesli bar. Liquid refreshment .. the tea and coffee was acceptable but the cold cordial was so disgusting we couldn't decide the flavour? Surely an already filled roll would be better and faster to deliver? Or what about a deal with a company like Subway to make 6" subs? If I can buy one 6" FOR $4.90 OR EVEN a foot long one for $7 which could be cut in half? surely that is a better thing to do than the rubbish that was served, for a full day trip.

Great value for the money. A full day trip to Cape Reina for 50$pp. Several sightseeing’s, lunch, sanddunes and 90 mile beach included. Also free jokes from Robin the Busdriver.

On the 20th of July 2016, my family and I from Rotorua went on this tour, it was the best day we'd had as a family for a long time, this tour was fantastic, from the cost of the tour, from the time we drove into their carpark to climbing onto the bus to the ride through the countryside and the stops on the way, it was fantastic, even seeing the smiles on the faces of your staff was great. Our kaihautu, Robin Collins was fantastic, a man with great local knowledge, great storyteller, great jokes, the way he kept us engaged from start to finish was amazing, we can not recommend him highly enough. Going to Cape Reinga, Te Rerenga Wairua, has always been on my wifes to do list and now it's done, our two sons loved the whole experience as well. Thank you so much, we will be telling our family and friends about you guy's for ages.

Der Stop zum Schluss in Awanui um die Treppe im Treppe im Kauritree anzugucken war ebenfalls ein Erlebnis. Stoppunkte zum Ein- und Aussteigen sind Nahe an den Hotels/Motels gelegen.
