Reviews of Matamata i-SITE Visitor Information Centre
N.
It's Saturday and unfortunately not open because of staff shortages
M.
Great Concept to cherish people .worth Day !!!
D.
The Matamata i-SITE Visitor Centre is part of New Zealand's official nationwide Visitor Information Network.
During my trip to Matamata, I was curious about the places of interest in Matamata. The staff members were helpful and were ready to offer advice when I enquired them about them, especially the Hobbiton Village.
F.
People was polite, nice, gentle and really helpful. We were a lot of people but they took care of each one of us, answering questions, ( we didn't even have to wait for or passes or anything). The experience was just amazing. If you like the Lord of the Rings saga this is a MuST DO.
-The tour guide was from London it self so it added a lot to the experience - Just perfect. Definitely I'll do it again.
E.
Really nice that the visitors center also looks like a hobbit house, not hard to be haha. Lot's of amazing trinkets and souvenirs that you can buy but also just admire. Nice beginning and/or end of the tour. You can get a nice cup of coffee on the other site of the visitor center. There is also an interesting welcome sign close to the visitors center.
C.
One of the best, or if not the best looking i-site building in New Zealand. Uniquely built with a touch of Hobbiton architecture. One who has not been to Hobbiton yet can see a bit of a preview already. Close to restaurants and souvenir shops, it's strategically located.
G.
Everything you’ll need. Great, helpful staff. Print your tickets for Hobbiton here and wait for the shuttle. The place is surrounded by a small park, where you can sit down for lunch. The architecture reminds of the Hobbit, so you won’t miss it.
A.
Beautiful and lovely attractive Hobbiton architectural design building. You can book it online and on the spot as well. Plenty Parking space available. You can park your car here, use public restroom and take a 15 minutes bus ride to the movie set.
D.
I called in to simply see what was available, what a cool little information centre. The staff were amazing, nice and friendly. There's heaps of info on alsorts you can see and do around Matamata. Plenty of parking and it's within walking distance from the other shops of Matamata
F.
Very nice place. But by the time we got back from the Hobbiton tour, the gift shop was closed. Bit disappointed but still good fun.
M.
This was the pick up point for our Hobbiton trip. Absolutely loved the theming of the building, really starts building the anticipation for Hobbiton. Good selection of souvenirs inside & the staff were really helpful. There is a toilet here if you need it.
A.
Loads of info and brochures including AA maps for all areas around NZ, wide range of souvenirs including all things Hobbit and Lord of the Ring, beautiful locally made jewellery that I usually find something catching my eye to wear while home in NZ
L.
The cutest information centre in the world. Framed in a Middle-Earth style outer, it doesn't exactly transport you to another world, but it more or less gives you all the information to do so! All the information you need to enjoy your stay in the area, this is the place to start any of the heritage trails, get picked up for your trip to Hobbiton and you can even buy some gifts if you can't make it to the actual movie set.
P.S. spot Gollum when you visit
I.
Never underestimate the power of an isite. The staff are very capable of helping you plan your itinerary, give you great suggestions and give excellent advice. One can never go wrong with choosing to pop in for more information.
This isite has cool Hobbiton merch, tons of leaflets and small souvenirs for that last minute gift.
J.
The visitor centre isn't really that much, basically a souvenir shop and rendezvous point for those visiting the Hobbit studio.
B.
Very Hobbiton lol. Neat to walk around but unfortunately the Vistor Information center was closed by the time we got there
A.
It is great on the outside.. But couldn't get it. It close on their last tour not as their stated close hours..
N.
Good information, but doesn't help when it's closed on a long weekend
G.
If you liked (or like me, still do!) TLOTR films and subsequent love affair of ALL things remotely connected, then you'll simply love this absolutely beautiful and iconic i-SITE. It is a replica (human sized thank goodness), Hobbiton themed building...I mean piece of art!
You can book ANY Hobbit or TLOTR related activity, including the world famous trip out to where it all began back in the Shire and all from here. The naturally friendly staff are very accommodating, and pretty TLOTR/Hobbit savvy & clued up too!
If you pass through Matamata and don't pop in check your rear view mirror for the hoard of Orcs that will be right behind ya...
M.
Didn’t go inside but the building is a complete replica of a Hobbiton building. Great for photos and right next to an Oak forest which is very peaceful to sit at the picnic tables
A.
Splendid place, looks the part whilst doing exactly what it says it does!
M.
Finally a house my size!! Great info centre & friendly staff - nice to see something different on your travels! 👌
A.
You can start your tour to Hobbitton from here. There’s tons of free parking slots and restaurants nearby.
J.
Lovely place!
Bought Hobbit Feet and Orc Ear Wax for the kiddies 😅
C.
Helpful staff, heaps of information about Matamata but also the rest of New Zealand. Lots of photo opportunities for people who like The Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit Trilogy. Safe parking all day parking and public toliets available.
J.
Picturesque Hobbit style location, friendly and extremely helpful staff.
M.
Lovely building inside & out fantastic & friendly staff, willing to help in every way possible.
K.
The Matamata i-SITE Visitor Centre is part of New Zealand's official nationwide Visitor Information Network.
Centrally located in the busy rural Waikato town of Matamata and nestled at the base of the scenic Kaimai Ranges our i-SITE staff are local experts and can assist you with all your enquiries.
As well as being a departure point for the Hobbiton Movie Set Tours, Matamata offers a wide range of walking and tramping options, golf courses, and an extensive selection of cafes & accommodation.
R.
Very disappointed they didn't carry the Hobbit theme of the exterior of the building into the interior. It's so cute on the outside; and stark white and unattractive on the inside.
A.
Perhaps the most beautifull and well decorated i-site of NZ (I am a lotr fan, that's perhaps why x) went there to visit hobbiton movie set but was incredibly disapointed because of the "ESSENTIAL booking requiered" for a tour that is complete for weeks, but fortunatly we went at this i-site at 10h30 in the morning and had a chance of taking canceled seats for the 11h tour and had a great experience there. But for sake, write that we need a reservation somewhere (that is not hidden on a Q/A on the web site), because as the receptionnist of our holyday park told us (opal hot springs, which is a good place to stay wy the way), there are a lot of people, like us, who turn they way back after many hours driving because they have less luck than us after being told, once they arrived, that they needed a booking for a tour in a sheep field.
A.
Everyone has covered the relevant info below. Cafe was good, toilets good, and WiFi is free which is great. Shop is a bit on the expensive side.
A.
Helpful staff who will advise you about the places of interest in and around the town
B.
Good building to feel the atmosphere though contents is normal I-site.
A.
Well set out. Fun looking place. Polite staff. Excellent extremely clean toilets at the end of the parking area. Great Cafe across the road from the toilets.
R.
Informative. A good place to take your picture.
Y.
I got a great experience in a place. I recommend to you guys that place! ;)
U.
Very well done, embraces theme of lord of the rings to create a unique destination.
D.
Best place to get a photo outside a Hobbit hole if you don't want to visit Hobbiton. The i-site has been converted to look like a two story thatch roof house with round doors.
M.
Great that they've built an i-site centre to reflect the major draw-card for tourism.
A.
Good place
M.
Nice customer service experience and direct us to the right information about the Hobbiton Tour
M.
Nifty place. Good facilities. Helpful staff.
Good place for a quick photo too.
B.
Copied from the my Napier i-Site review as they have all the been good. The Hobbit styled building is also-ran great.
Have visited all the i-Sites on our road trip around the North Island. As a tourist these have been a great source of information to get us around and on tours we want. The maps are a nice, personal touch too (rather than the GPS). If you are touring, it won't hurt to visit these sites and get a bit of local knowledge.
M.
The manager of this i-site Angel is a great ambassador for five star customer service. She was so helpful going out of her way to courier some items I needed up to Auckland, and was a pleasure to deal with. Great representative of the famous kiwi hospitality. Thank you for the items, our friends and family will be pleased to receive the sweatshirts for Christmas!
I.
It's really cool. You can take some nice photos with nobody around, better than in hobbiton and free
T.
Awesome replica of Bilbo Baggin home
B.
Good information source for tourists and visitors.
Nice and helpful service.
You can get done nice postcards and New Zealand / Lord of the rings merchandise here.
The building is already inspired by a Hobbit house, giving a hint to the local main attraction.
T.
Very helpful and efficient. Nice range of souvenirs and trinkets. Easy to find and well experienced in Hobbiton tours. Ample parking spaces and public toilets. Seating area to await buses for tours.
J.
After a recommendation from our photographer, my wife and I actually got married in the parking lot here. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating!
We came back to show them wedding photos and they were so excited! 😂
There's also a good selection of souvenirs here as well as a ton of information about things to do in Matamata! Definitely a good place to stop by and check out!
P.
As always good service and good variety of food.
W.
Friendly Staff. Advice and local knowledge from local people
A.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Their air conditioning system makes this a wonderful place to be. Great gift shop selling a wide range of gifts and easy parking. Love how it's shaped like something of the Hobbiton Movie Set.
K.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good place to stop by for some information. Has free WiFi.
E.
A very cool information centre with inspiration from Hobbiton. You can get several souvenirs from here and the staff will be happy to help you with any questions you might have.
The bus stop is just outside. Book a trip to Hobbiton and the bus will pick you up just outside.
G.
Great service and super cute building!
Our card wasn't working, and they told us how to get to a bank, and waited for us even though the tour was close to starting.
Extremely kind and helpful. The tour was worth ever penny.
R.
Love the architecture of this building, which is in Hobbiton style. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even moved our booking, which we made online ahead of time, to an earlier moment. The merchandise is quite expensive but at least you can say you brought a souvenir back from it's true origin!
d.
Lots of local information. Some souvenirs and postcards. On busy intersection so parking is in side streets. Very friendly staff
R.
First thing to notice about it is that the entrance resembles that of a hobbit hole, it's beautiful. You get the tickets for the hobbiton tour here and the tour bus also departs from here. We kept our luggage there at a fee of $5 per person before taking the tour. The staff was superb. You can also buy lotr souvenirs here. There are shops nearby in case you want to eat or shop.
N.
Having these Isights around is so great for anyone traveling New Zealand! This one is particularly great looking with its hobbit house look. The people here were really lovely and helpful.
The only thing to be mindful of is other than Hobbiton there is not a lot you can do around here (especially without a car!).
l.
It is such an icon of the movie, so authentically built, it feels amazing to be inside a fantasy world as you sit at the rustic table outside and contemplate the lives of those in Hobbiton. I think it could do with being as authentic on the inside as unfortunately it looks like any other information centre come gift shop on the inside, some great gifts though. If it was re staged just like the cafe/bar at "Hobbiton" itself then we'd be getting closer to more "authenticity"
S.
Neatly decorated outside. Should see it. Can catch a bus to Hobbiton here.
x.
One of the most beautiful Information centre
A.
I had to ask for storage of my bags for 2 hours, as I was early. The whole atmosphete inside rocks with the exterior charm of Hobbiton, and the cycle way tree copse.
R.
It wasn't open, but what an awesome sight to see whilst traveling through Matamata, I definitely will not be forgetting this town.. 👊respect
D.
The i-Site that the Hobbits built. True to nature that this site is a fantastic and picturistic building built in the middle earth style. Great bunch of folks work there...all wanting to provide the best of service available. If they don't have the answers...they know who to contact.
M.
Nested in a type of Hobbit house itself, it is cool to stop by and take a photo by the building and inside there is a statue of Gollum you can see. Otherwise it is a fairly small information site with classic Kiwi souvenirs.
D.
The office is pretty beautiful from both inside and outside. Located at the of the road. Toilets are located at 50 metre from i-site office. Being neat to Hobbiton the centre is popular or start and end point of Hobbiton tour. Staff is very helpful. They even help the visitors with temporarily storing the luggage.
A.
I had a mix up with the scheduling for our tour and thought we wouldn't be able to go to hobbiton or Waitomo. My husband and I were really worried we wouldn't even be able to get back to Auckland and Angel at the front desk was able to sort everything out so we could attend both tours and get back to Auckland, working very diligently and patiently to help us resolve our mess. Really appreciate it. Had a great experience!
R.
It's really much easier to go here to book a tour or get to Hobbiton. The staff are nice and the shop is fine. There may be a bit of a wait, but grabbing the bus from town for a tour is much easier than trying to park on site.
C.
Went there to buy tickets for the Hobbiton movie set as they're sold out online. A few souvenirs to sell and a statue from the movie that you can take photos.
A.
If I have to honest... We all enjoyed the i-SITE much more than Hobbiton itself!!
A.
Great site however the council has made access completely frustrating. With may people unable to negotiate.
B.
One of the jump-off start for the Hobbiton scenery tour. Purchase ticket here and check the souvenir shop. Take pictures of this hobbit house inspired place and wait for the green tour bus...
M.
Great place, very friendly staff. No problem with the booking of our tour. Only down side - the shelfs were almost empty and not a lot of coices with the Hobbit post cards anymore.
B.
Lots of info here and friendly staff. Cool looking building!
B.
Cool visitor site, styled like buildings from hobbiton from the Lord of the Rings movie, visitors from all over the world love to come here and get their photos taken. You can get tickets here for tours of the hobbiton movie location where some of the film was shot. Great little gift shop inside with quality looking goods, however the prices are tourist prices.
T.
Cute visitor's information centre with friendly staff. There is a little gift shop inside that sells regular souvenirs and some LOTR merch. Would've liked to see more variety with the LOTR items but other than that it's a great information centre.
A.
Great staff highly recommend booking hobbiton here as you’ll save yourself parking costs and they have their own coach that will drive into the area and pick up the guide who has time to play some clips on the tv of behind the scenes. Another bonus if the main site is fully sold out this place has its own slots
J.
Wonderful little place with plenty of souvenirs.
L.
Great and helpful staff.
J.
OMG Lord of the rings fans. When we saw it we were over the moon. Great staff. We brought our hoodies there ready to visit the shire. Good photos taken there. Toilet is a very short stroll to the left of the house... Building.
J.
Cool little place. I stop here for a coffee next door wherever I come through on my way to Auckland, but definitely wouldn't do a detour just for this. Inside it's just your usual i-Site.
L.
Great launch pad to the Shire of The Lord of the Rings fame! Friendly, helpful staff, great souvenirs and memorabilia of all descriptions in a gorgeous little village.
J.
Amazing visitor centre experience set in an oak forest. The town of Matamata has lots of other attractions related to the Lord of the Rings. Only negative was no public drinking water we could find!
C.
Helpful, friendly staff. Loads of great activity flyers for the local area on display.
C.
Very busy tourist spot. Has a lord of the rings vibe which is the attraction to the township. Has a after hours toilet facility near by. If you need any advise this is the place to go.
H.
great little place with lots of information, mainly targeted at Hobibiton customers but still quaint, staff very friendly.
賴.
It’s a beautiful place
H.
Excellent information and great friendly helpful staff all housed in a unique hobbit styled building..a credit to Matamata..
B.
Nice building. But looks more like for lord of the ring tourists. There are, beside Hobbiton fan stuff, only flyer about attractions in different regions in NZ
J.
Lovely Infirmation Centre in Hobbiton country
O.
Lovely building. If you are fan of Hobbits you will love this place. A free Wi-Fi and sheltered table would be great. A bit too thematic, unfortunately.
A.
Nothing much to see apart from the building which is a great addition to the town. A nice gift shop with a few LOTR options but not much.
It's worth the picture.
P.
The people here are very helpful - they let you store your luggage when you go on your Hobbitton tour. The building is shaped like something out of the LOTR world too and is very cute to look at. It is situated near the bus stop in Matamata.
D.
When a series of movies has captured the world, the theme has been carried through to this wonderful building. Well priced and interesting NZ memorabilia available here too.
M.
Unique i-SITE, Hobbiton styled, my visitors loved it. Good range of souvenirs and friendly girl on the desk.
G.
People here where so helpful because we want to go to the Hobbiton Movie set... we get every information we want and took a bus to Hobbiton... also they have maps, souvenirs and you can get everything you want about the area and the things you want to do... everything were great...
R.
Staff were very helpful when we wanted restaurant and activity suggestions. Plus, the building is VERY cute - it looks like a hobbit home! It's also conveniently placed right in the centre of Matamata.
J.
Original and quaint building. Point of departure from LOTR tours.
j.
People in town are very nice. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. Hobbittown was awesome. Much better than what if shows in pictures.
S.
I love all Lord of the rings this is one of the best info centre's iv seen
T.
Good for photos, very popular with tourists.
C.
Excellent staff and great service delivered in a unique building... My precious... Watch out for the tumbling Acorns though if you are there in late Feb or March.
G.
Architecture of this building is great fitting in woth the hobbiton theme. Friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets. Right on the high street with some nice cafes whilst you are waiting for bus to hobbiton.
J.
If you are planning to visit hobbiton, Matamata i-site is a great starting point. You can park your car around the area and enjoy 15 minutes bus ride to the movie site. Please ensure that you select pick up from the i-site when you purchase your ticket. Report to the tour centre 20 minutes before tour starts.
林.
Tour site. You can have half a day tour.
R.
Hobbit themed with round doors and windows, can serve as nice photo op without spending $80 each for 1 hour at Hobbiton movie set.
C.
Quite informative place made with the inspiration of Hobbiton. The i-SITE acts as a starting point for one set of hobbiton tours. The best option if you're a traveler. The are does not have Uber service, so better to use this option as Hobbiton Movie Set is situated further from the superb of Matamata. Tickets and booking for the tour can be done at the i-SITE and all the information regarding the area and also suvaniours can be brought from here. Staff here is extremely helpful.
R.
Great place for Hobbit fans! Souvenirs a-plenty and at good prices. Coffee just over the road.
A.
Very nice looking and well themed info center.
H.
Busy hub tourist attraction. Public restrooms are clean as maintained regularly. Can park up and sit on village green with bite to eat if travelling through.
M.
I do love this place however google may have to review it because since about a year or so ago the back half of it was also changed and has had a seating area added to it so the pictures are wrong and should be changed.
L.
Such a cool place.
M.
Excellent informative place, public toilets nearby @the other end of the car park.Nice spot to have a rest,it has heaps of Lord of the rings memorabilia and statue of golem.it's shaped like a hobbits house..Awesome!!
T.
Great place to get information about Matamata. They have a small gift shop and you can book a few activities there. They also have the Hobboton booking kiosk there.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
N.
Beautifully built and full of culturally significant relief carvings, the Matamamta Isite is a beautiful place to visit, make purchases, and catch your bus to Hobbiton!
P.
The workers here were incredibly patient and kind. They helped make my trip work! I couldn't thank them enough for their help.
C.
Even if you dont need info on the area its well worth just taking photos of how they have made it out to be like a Hobbit House.WAY COOL. Loved it.😊👍👍
J.
Cute iconic place. Great toilet stop and skate bowl between Auckland and Tauranga/bay of plenty.
A.
Stopped here on the way to Auckland from Rotorua, you can store your bags for a fees, there is a gollum sculpture inside, good for pics
B.
They offetrd to change my ticket for the Hobbiton movie set when I was late for the tour due to a misunderstanding of the meeting place. All with no fuss and no extra charge. Very impressive!
A.
Live what they've done to the building, adorable fascade. I would love my house to look like that!
K.
Great looking I site from the outside, but the in side isn't as impressive and feels quite empty. Information on how hobbiton has effected Matamata and the local area would have been a nice touch in side.
P.
It was a good place to start our Hobbiton tour. Service was a bit slow but the staff were helpful.
K.
Great for tourist info but honestly the rating is probably more for how adorably hobbit-like this building is.
P.
Really cool building in the style of the lord of the rungs and hobbit movies only here briefly to book tickets but staff were very helpful and friendly and efficient.
R.
Beautiful i-site which is in itself worth a visit. It has a few cool souvenirs. This is also the place where tours to Hobbiton leave.
s.
Excellent help. Full of info and advice. Booked further trips and overnights from here. Woman named Angel was very efficient.
M.
The food is amazing, great coffee great price love going here. Great place to bring young children beautiful outdoor covered in area.
I.
Incredible place! The views are different here!!! It's totally magical!!!!! 😍
S.
Lovely "Hobbiton" building...could use more 'atmosphere ' inside ...ie seating for those waiting on service or a "Hobbiton" bus etc on rainy days...there is room in alcove and inside as it appears sparsely stocked
m.
Good for photo opts! I reckon is a must stop if drive down from north to south.
v.
Beautiful place where there is a small park full of oak trees, good place for a picnic. Nice toilet too😊
a.
It's a souvenir shop with gollum inside. A lot of diff. souvenirs to buy. We bought a hard case the hobbit book and took pictures with gollum
C.
This place looks like more of a gift shop, but at the desk you can find out anything you need. The whole building is themed like a hobbit hole if you like the films.
M.
Very helpful staff! Plus some goodies from Hobbiton if you can't make it out to the set gift shop itself
D.
Good service here quite like how these guys work. Customer service combined with adequate info in terms of places in the area gives this place a nice 5/5 in my opinion.
C.
Didn't spend much time there but staff were fruendly, helpful and knowledgable. The building is awesome, spent alot of time looking at the outside 😁
D.
Got lots of informations and offered me even to reschedule my booking for the Hobbiton movie set due to heavy rainfall!! Great job
T.
Very friendly and helpful. Staff called ahead to check if an extra ticket was available to Hobbiton which I thought was really nice.
C.
Lots of café and food outlets but very noisy as all on the main road. Trucks and other heavy vehicles should be diverted.
R.
Got what we came for... a good time as an avid Lord of the Rings fan... make an effort to go to the Redoubt Bar across the road... awesome place...
M.
I didn't actually stop here. Just parked so I could use the toilets, which were very clean considering they are public toilets in a town that is pretty much a public toilet it self.
B.
Nice place if you want to see one of the most famous place in new zealand: hobbit town.
A must do for the LOTR fans
T.
Well laid out CBD and good roading in and out of town.
J.
Very cool building in a cute town. Reasonable prices for souvenirs.
G.
Beautiful building from the outside just like the Hobbit house, inside as well, staff very friendly good service.
Z.
Cute little place lots of fun things to learn about and info on places to see really useful
L.
accidently messed up my ticket but fixed it as soon as it was noticed lovely staff
F.
Helped me get to the Shire. Awesome team
B.
It's a good place to find information about Matamata, Rotorua and this area. You can buy tickets to visit Hobbiton Movie Set when you arrive there.
F.
Always a great welcome.
C.
Quick stop in Matamata on the way and the info centre is always so eye catching, must take photo even if you're a local because thatsethe closest to being in hobbiton without having to pay!
E.
My children loves it! They call it the Hobbit town 😆 stop here twice on our road trip for a stretch and toilet stop for kids.
p.
Very very clean public toilets. Great radio music in there aswel
C.
Clean and tidy, always parking available and great cafe right across the road. Great place for a pit stop.
E.
A wonderful place to visit absolutely loved it. A lot of things you can buy to do with Hobbiton in matatmata an lovely people I recommend this place to all.
G.
Hobbiton is really a different experience and staff also is helpful but i have deducted one star for the cost of ticket which I believe is too high.
c.
Cute hobbit hole of an info centre
V.
Very helpful staff, and lots of information available - plus it looks like a hobbit house so that's always worth a star!
A.
Very helpfully staff. Great variety of gifts etc.
S.
There isnt much to do in that little town but this place has all the things you need to know.
J.
Nice information point with lots of folders with things to do in the area. You can also buy some souvenirs, but they are a bit overpriced.
C.
Well presented walk is 40 minutes with guides entrance by bus from Matamata or at site check price?can be expensive but has good discounts for groups
L.
Really, really good Service. Had an issue with my hobbiton booking, my mistake, and they helped me out and ensured a perfect time in the area!
R.
Smiling... It felt like the hobbits were going to pop their heads thru the door any moment! Fantasy at its best. A must visit for old and young... I'm a huge fan!
M.
Hi everyone the toilets are always clean and we'll looked after see you latter Marianne hay
C.
If you are big fan of hobbits and The Lord of Ring, this is the place that you might want to visit. They sell The Lord of Ring postcards with stamp!
A.
Very nice assistants, you can get all the information about Hobbiton there
V.
I don't really know what to say, aside from the word Hobbit. So I'm just going to say the word Hobbit a lot on this run on ramble.
Matamata is a small town known mainly for Hobbits. Hobbits are short human-like dudes from the Hobbit movie (and lord of the rings)
Also, Hobbit.
a.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The place also has WiFi facility. The place is much better than the photos. Matamata is a gateway to Hobbitown.
M.
The most beautiful I-Site i have ever seen! It matches with the Hobbit scene totaly. Very uniqe!
J.
Awesome i-site, designed to look like a hobbit house there is plenty of gifts and tours of hobbiton avalible.
A.
Not much to see here except a lot of toilets which is always needed by this time in a journey. Always busy but kept clean and tidy.
J.
The Isite in Matamata is designed to look like a Hobbit's house. Awesome.
All buses passes through here.
B.
Awesome place to stop with the family on those long road trips
D.
Good staff, quick check-in and up to the adventures in your childhood in Shire to Bilbo and Frodo.
L.
Best place to hook your Hobbiton trip. Simply and easy and the staff were really helpful.
P.
The tour is good. However, the staff at the information centre was not very polite.
Everything was overpriced. Usual for any tourist place
D.
Great place to take a photo of, love all the wood workmanship inside and outside
D.
Very cute. Staff must've been busy though as I didn't see any around.
M.
