Wow. Such a great tour and a well organised team behind it. I was lucky to be gifted a day trip to Milford Sound for Christmas when I couldn't go back to Australia to see the family, so I made the most of it and picked a day trip on the Altitude Tours 16 seater Mercedes coach from Queenstown. The 12 hour day worried me at the start but within seconds of meeting our coach driver and tour guide for the day, Graham, I knew the day would fly by and we would have the most amazing experience. From the smooth ride in the extremely comfortable coach with a glass roof so we could see the very high peaks, to the expert commentary from Graham for the length of the journey (Except when we all fell asleep on the way home) this was truly a magical day. In fact the bust ride was so good, it almost surpassed the cruise on Milford Sound as Graham stopped at the BEST picture perfect spots and gave us the most amazing stories (most I'm sure were true) about the history and the people of such a spectacular area. I chose the lunch option with was an amazing pack of sandwiches and snacks from a local take away in Te Anau and the chicken sangers were to die for. Everyone on the bus seemed to have a lovely enjoyable day and I could not recommend Altitude Tours and Graham high enough. Oh and special mention of the MIlford Sound cruise with the Skipper and his assistant Bailey. Gave us the closest look you can get of the sound and its inhabitants. Certainly worth the day.

Just did the Heli Gin Tour in Queenstown and it was fantastic! Amazing blue skies for the helicopter flight up to the top of the Crown Range for our first tasting. Very surreal standing on top of a mountain with a bar set up on the side of the helicopter, taking in Cardrona, Remarkables, Coronet, Lake Wakatipu and the pilot even pointed out Mt Cook in the distance. Then a short flight down to land on the grounds of the Cardrona Distillery. The tour here was so informative and interesting - thanks to Kenny our Irish guide. Such a beautiful setting in the central otago landscape. We then drove down to The Winery in Arrowtown - huge selection of gins! Lastly the Broken Heart cellar door in Arthur's Point which again is a lovely setting and some very good gins. I don't really do tonic or soda with my gin and it was no problem asking for lemonade instead. We had shared platters at The Winery and some pizza at Broken Heart, which went down very well! Alia and Andy were fantastic guides and the tour was very well organised - especially at such late notice which we really appreciated. Highly recommend - we felt very special and so pleased we spent the money to do this with Altitude Tours.

The beer and wine tour experience was seriously fun. As a group of 12 with different levels of knowledge, we were all able to walk away having learned something new. Our tour guide Alia (like the end of AustrALIA) was an expert on the area and the vineyards that operate there. She was very accommodating and easy to talk to. We had a little trouble finding the initial pickup point (probably our fault), but from the moment we got in the van it was an absolute blast. Next time we are in Queenstown we'll be sure to come back.

Highly recommended! My sister and I did the Milford Sounds minibus tour and it was superb. Our driver/guide, Tania, was a great lady to talk to and keep us entertained for the whole journey, we really did not notice the four hour drive from QT to Milford. As a tour guide myself, I’ve done this trip a few times but it was my first time on the tour and 100% satisfied. Altitude tours run small group tours using brand new Mercedes 16 seater which is as comfortable as your private car. Even if you are renting a car and plan to drive to Milford yourself, think twice and book this semi-private tour to enjoy the epic scenery without hassle of driving! Thanks Tania & Altitude tours!

We did the wine tasting in Gibson Valley with Andy. The Gibson valley is beautiful and the wines were spectacular. Andy was a very knowledgeable, professional, and relatable guide. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend the tasting tour. We did have the additional perk of a private tour during COVID times, which made it a very intimate and enjoyable experience.

Great tour. This was my third tour to Milford so far and it’s by far the best one. Our tour guide Graham is super nice & friendly also very knowledgeable and you can definitely feel the love he has for the region. We made quite a lot of stops along the way which the previous two tours didn’t include. It was our lucky day as we were able to spot Kea, penguin and some seals as well.

Had the amazing time out at Milford Sound on the Coach Cruise Coach full day tour. Tanya was our guide and she was great and upbeat throughout the day whilst giving us lots of information on our the surround areas. The coach was extremely comfortable along with free wifi on board. I would highly recommend this trip as it is great value for money.

Could not recommend this wine tour highly enough. The tour guide Beau was a local, he was passionate and educated about the Gibson Valley, he added a special touch to the tour. We toured the beautiful vineyards and had an incredible lunch. 5 star!!

Hey Guys , Definitely recommend altitude tours , they are super punctual and friendly. We did our tour today from Hilton Queenstown to Milford sound and back it was simply amazing !! Roland was guiding us so well his driving was so comfortable, he shared all his insights about the place, carried umbrellas for us as it was very rainy today. Kept a blanket Incase we were cold :) a very sweet man with a great smile :) Tours are worth the price!! Highly recommended !! Great job team 🙏👏👏

My partner organised this trip for me and it was awesome, our driver Kris (spelt with a 'K' like the Kardashians) was awesome, He gave amazing knowledge on the area, the Maori culture, he answered all our questions we had on the wild life, the scenery, location etc etc. He was pretty much a modern cool version of an encyclopedia. We were super lucky to have him and he was very friendly too :) The trip itself was perfectly organised, the posh mini coach was perfect, comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this over a huge coach any day. Kris could also take us to hidden places the larger big tourist coaches couldnt get to, so it was never too crowded for photos :) The boat trip was surreal, its liked we entered a whole different world, and personally you want grey mysterious skys (Not blue sky) for this trip. It was murkey and magical showing you the real side of New Zealand. The water was calm as I get sea sick but i didnt feel sick at all and the boat was big. The food was yummy, caters for everyone and the meat was so good!!!! Over all the trip was super, its a very long day but anyone could do it :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :) Thank you Kris!!!! We’ve had an incredible experience today on the Glenorchy & Paradise scenic tour! Our guide Tania was so amazing and has such a wealth of knowledge. Driving through the scenic route whilst stopping by some LOTR shooting locations was simply the highlight of our entire trip. I couldn’t thank Tania enough for her exceptional service. Wife and I did the Milford Sound day tour from Queenstown. Well worth it. Our driver Roland was awesome! Knowledgeable and good banter. The wife was 30 weeks pregnant and the tour bus was very comfortable for her. It also had a massive panoramic sunroof and had all the bells and whistles. We booked the Milford Sound coach and cruise from Queenstown. The mini van was operated by Altitude Tours and our driver Andy was great! Very knowledgeable and really added to the over all experience! The Mini van was very clean and comfortable with glass roof. The cruise was operated by Mitre Peak and the boat was very clean and had good outside deck space, some of the larger boats didn’t appear to have as much open deck space, you want to be outside to get the full experience! Andy told us about an option to fly back to Queenstown and as the weather was clear we decided to take advantage of the special that was offered. The flight back was with MCL. Andy assisted with all the arrangements and when we returned from the cruise we got our tickets and headed to the airport which is just a short walk. Katie was our pilot and we tagged along with a group who was on the full flight tour. The flight back was beautiful! I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the Milford Sound! Great operators! The drive in is special and really gives you an idea of the size of the mountains and the additional information that Andy provided along the way only added to the experience. The cruise is a must to truly experience the sound and interact with the area! The flight back was the cherry on top. The aerial vantage point gives you a better understanding of the true size of this amazing place! A true once in a lifetime experience!

Great Wine Tour ! The driver Mick was amazing an really knowledgeable, we stoped at 2 places at the begining, and we visited 4 wineries, and had a private tasting each time, trying 4 to 6 wines in each place (white and red wines), it was really good, really interesting, I learned a lot about wines in the central otago region, and about pinot noir! Toured Milford Sound from Queenstown today with Patrick (Podge?). Everything was perfectly organized, very comfortable van, unimaginable scenery and very valuable commentary and advice from out tour guide. Overall a very enjoyable day in the great outdoors and during the drive I will deffinitely recommend this tour to my nears and dears. Good value for money.

Everything about the day was great including the cheese sampling stop over in Arrowtown. The different types of vineyards were a good introduction to the local area & how they go about what they do. Having little knowledge of wine & more of a beer participant I was impressed by the knowledge & passion to all those that we met & we all enjoyed sampling the different types of local wines. Alia our knowledgeable, very pleasant & ‘designated’ driver certainly made our trip something to remember. None of our group had been on a wine tour before & this won’t be our last. Fantastic company who I will definitely use again, I can’t recommend them highly enough. I went to Milford Sound with Altitude and did a boat cruise in combination with Mitre Peak. Everything about the trip was well thought out and organised. Our driver and guide, Tania, was fantastic, she was really friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout. The smaller coach was really comfortable and it was great being on a slightly smaller boat with plenty of space in the sound (fiord). Don’t be put off by the weather- Milford is incredible even on a cloudy day and especially after lots of rain with all the waterfalls. Thanks so much for a great trip guys!

I stayed for a week in Queenstown and tried the Milford Sound Tour. Very well organized, punctual and the driver was very entertaining and very considerate of our needs. Everything was well thought of. From the type of film to show us, to the timing of the film, to the lunch packs they gave us. The driver also knows when to talk and when to let us rest. Really enjoyed the trip, espcially Roland's cheeky kiwi humour at his mates along the way. The coach cruise coach package is perfect for anyone, from international visitors to JAFA's. We had an amazing time on the wine sampler tour with Alia. This was my second time doing the tour and it just seems to be getting better. Plenty of good wine to be had along the way. There are multiple stops during the tour meeting with different people from different wineries, each giving their own insight into the processes involved and discussing each wine we had. We learn a lot and had a heap of fun. A must do in QT!

I had a amazing experience doing the milfourd tour yesterday, the pick up was perfectly on time and I was picked up from the place I was staying! We had a amazing bus driver and tourguide named bryan (brian?) who deffinitly has a heart for queenstown and customer service and his job!! He told us so many informative and funny stories along the way and made sure we all had a great time ! He stopped alot of times on our way to milford at amazing spots and let us take some pictures or go to the toilet ! The milford sound cruise was amazing and the moody wheather made it even more of a surreal experience I will never forget again!! We saw a lot of beautiful sights and the boat ride was also very smooth ! We even saw some dolpins and a seal!! On the way back the van driver finished of with a cerry on top with some chocolate for everyone and some recommendations for other things to do in queenstown ! Altitude tours are with out a doubt the best tour company in Queenstown, if you have some time down in Queenstown i highly recommend booking as many tours as possible with these guys. The tour guides have been incredibly knowledgeable, the tours have been great fun and you get really good value for money.

My wife and I took a group tour to Milford Sound yesterday with Roland. He arrived promptly in the morning for pickup and was an excellent driver and communicator, giving constant updates on where we were (detailed information about the road, the sights, and the history of New Zealand), details of our schedule (it’s a trek to get there from Queenstown), and what to expect when we got there. As a driver, he’s got to be one of the best, as a 15 year veteran of the roads. He was courteous and safe on the road, and even knew many of the other drivers on the road, often waving to them as we passed. We were able to make plenty of quick stops, for restrooms and for great scenic detours, along the way. This was a great way to stretch our legs, hit the bathroom, grab a coffee and snacks, happen upon a few Kea parrots, and catch a glimpse of The Chasm, which was super cool! Then we got to take a boat around Milford Sound for a few hours, which was also amazing and well guided, and had a nice included buffet lunch. The trip back to Queenstown was smooth with one bathroom/gas fill up stop and mostly resting after a long day with an early start. Overall, I loved the experience, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area who wants to see the most scenic parts of New Zealand.

What an amazing tour! Went to Milford Sound through Altitude Tours and had a wonderful day! They picked us up at a location that was walking distance from our accommodation (various spots around Queenstown). An early morning that started with breathtaking views of Queenstown! Our tour guide Rowland was sensational. Incredibly knowledgeable and witty, we thoroughly enjoyed his calming voice narrating us through each various town, plant, tree, building or mountain we passed through. He was equipped with wonderfully paced stories and knowledge throughout the tour. Plenty of stops for the bathroom and notice too! A great stop for coffee and morning tea option half way to Milford Sound too - I even got to feed some alpaca's! We got off our little 16 seater bus occasionally to see the wonderful lookout points in the National Park along the way too but just briefly - it was just the right amount of time! The boat was ready for us and we had a filling and broad bbq spread (with yummy Lollie cake for a desert snack) and had an incredible tour of Milford Sound! We were well informed and prepared every step of the way and our experience was the utmost priority of our tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour. The Milford sound tour was great for us - after a weekend of snowboarding (then a broken wrist) my partner and I were way too tired to drive and appreciated the comfort of the wonderful clean bus with PowerPoints access, wifi, and windows for the broadest view of the beautifuk countryside around us. Highly recommend! Heidi was such a great host, her bubbly personality and friendly nature made the day. She was the life of the party singing along with us in the van heading back into town. She even took us to a beautiful tree tunnel to stop for photos as it was particularly pretty in autum. Transport was very comfortable and traveling in a small group made it easier to meet the others on our tour. Overall was an awesome day with great food, wine and company. Don’t bother looking elsewhere for a tour as you can’t get any better than Altitude!!

Great Experience! Great wine, great food! Our tour guide Mick was lovely, extensive knowledge of wine and was very friendly. Would recommend this tour. Only thing I would have liked is a little more time at each venue, felt a little bit rushed at times, would probably work better as a 4 hour tour so you have more time to relax and enjoy the wine. But overall great experience!

Heidi was not only friendly but put together the perfect tour for us without hesitation allowing for a few random requests and considerations. Wine Sampler tour from Queenstown was awesome...just got off the bus from an amazing day full of fun, wine and just an all round top top time! My friends and I did the Twilight tour and it was the best wine tour any of us have been on. Heidi was an engaging, friendly and hilarious host that made everyone feel welcomed. Went on the tour with my GF. Was an really great day. I think we were spoiled by the weather - It was sunny and hot. Would still be good in the wet as most places have cover/ are inside but def better in the sun. Solid value for money. You could potentially do the four or so winery tastings for cheaper but you'd need a designated driver - we were pretty drunk by the end of it. However you'd miss out on the local knowledge from the great guide and the very nice transport. Additionally it seemed like we got some very nice extras cos of being on the tour - two special reserves at one winery because the owners were friends and some other perks. Overall we tried 22 wines each including one that the GF had with lunch (i was basically drunk at this point so abstained). Fun guides, fun other passengers, amazing scenery. Would recommend.

Absolutely amazing wine and craft beer tour. Transportation was in a very modern and luxurious Mercedes van with a fun and knowledgable driver. The tour was very accommodating for dietary requirements. Highly recommend to all!

Ben did a great job explaining everything and showing us around! It’s a good look into a few things outside the touristy city center of Queenstown and stops at some awesome views of the mountain and lake. The wine and cheese pairing at the end is a perfect finish.

This tour was amazing. Graham was our tour guide and he taught us so much and was very knowledgeable. He stopped in great places to let us take pictures. Everything was very well organized and on time. Although the drive is 4-4.5 hours from Queenstown they break it up on the way there and back so it doesn't make it seem so long. It is so worth it! Absolutely stunning views on the whole drive and the sounds are incredible.

It was a great day with our driver Chris. He told us many things about New Zealand and made enough Stopps in lookout points, not too many and Not too long Stopps, so we were early enough arriving in Milford Sound. The Trip in Milford Sound on the boat was amazing and we had a glimpse at seals. There was always enough pause for taking Photos and enjoy the view. I would highly recommend the Tour with altitude, especially because we had a small modern bus and never had to wait too long to get complete. Also the BBQ was quite good and they had even a look on people on diets.
