J.We booked our trip to Milford Sound for our family of four using the Viator site. The trip included a coach there and back from Queenstown, picnic lunch and a boat ride around the fjord. In all a 13 or so hour day starting at 7.30am. Don't let the long drive put you off, as the journey to Milford Sound is one of the most beautiful road trips you are ever likely to take and we were lucky enough to have Pauli Potato as our driver and guide. Pauli has an encyclopedic knowledge of the local area, the geography, geology, history, wildlife, plants, etc. and shares it during the journey along with some of the worst dad jokes you'll ever hear delivered in such a deadpan fashion that only an Irishman could pull off. Pauli stops the luxury coach (leather seats, air conditioning, glass roof) along the way at some amazing beauty spots and truly makes the journey part of the overall experience. Arriving at Milford Sound around lunch time we were treated to a picnic lunch and headed onto a stunning catamaran boat that takes you through what can only be described as a jaw dropping fjord with sheer cliffs and mountains all around dropping into the waters heading out to the Tasman sea. The boat's captain and crew were very welcoming and knowledgeable and ensured we had one of the memorable days our family has ever experienced. We all loved our day out and highly recommend awesomeNZ to look after you and ensure you have a magical time.
C.Excellent trip down to Milford sounds with driver Paulie. Great guide with interesting stories and Maori legends to share along the way. Very safe and courteous driving along the way and is always on time for all the stops. Would highly recommend. 10/10.
D.Awesome experience. Even the coach ride there had incredible views. The round trip to Queenstown was almost 600km but didn't feel like it. There were enough stops to stretch your legs without prolonging the trip. The cruise was great, we saw seals and got sprayed by the waterfalls. Don't miss out, definitely worth seeing
M.Great Milford Sound trip from QT, brilliant guide who is passionate and have a lot of information.. I got a return trip from Queenstown Bus+cruise+Bus and lunch , with 159 $NZ. Just do a double check online and in stores and you will find bargain prices.
A.Excellent tour, the guide was efficient and knowledgeable, very sensitive to Maori Culture and pronounced Maori words very well... Saw some amazing things and stopped at a couple of extra places for quick photo's. The complimentary pick up and drop off from my holiday park was really wonderful. The boat trip was amazing, with delicious, hot, fresh food in the buffet.. Highly recommended

C.We took the bus from Queenstown to Te Anau and then back a few days later, both with driver Paulie. Paulie was a friendly and interesting guide and a very safe driver. The bus was modern and comfortable. Highly recommend AwesoneNZ bus tours.

R.I've taken the trip to Milford Sound, and it was pretty good! It was a 10 hour bus journey so a bit tiring (you can also stay at Te Anau overnight, they will pick you up from Te Anau the next day). But the seats were comfortable and the view from the bus was really good. The driver was also a good commentator.
Unfortunately the weather was not in the best condition on the day of my trip, it was cloudy and a bit rainy (and what I've heard, this sorts of weather is actually quite common in the Milford Sound area). The rain also sets off lots waterfalls so that's kind of nice, but if you are expecting a warm and sunny weather then you might be disappointed.
R.I can’t thank Awesome Tours and Bus Driver Pauly enough for our 12-hour excursion to Milford Sound and back. Pauly had a small van that day, so could stop in a few places the large coaches can’t. Pauly’s commentary was spot-on, just enough information without making it a lecture. His enthusiasm for his run, and the beautiful scenery was inspirational. Lots of spots to get out, stretch legs and take photos. He made sure we go on the right boats. On the return trip he recapped all the things we’d seen that day. But there’s more. The next day I was on another bus towards FranzJosef Glacier. At the Makarora Country coffee stop, his “Kiwi Mom”, Sue was expecting me. Pauly had let her know I’d be passing through the next day. Kia ora, Pauline, Sue and Awesome Tours. You’re AWESOME!
J.Did the tour to Milford Sound. The scenery is spectacular and Pauly (our driver) was incredibly friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Would recommend this tour to friends and family and anyone else who travels to the South Island.

G.We had an incredible time at Milford Sound today. Our driver, Jono, was very friendly, funny and informative. Bus was clean and we got to each place on time or ahead of schedule. I know there are a lot of competing companies to Milford Sound but after today, I know that awesomeNZ is truly the best!!
A.Didn't end up having time to make the tour so had to cancel the day before. They processed a full refund with no fuss at all. Next time we are in NZ we will definitely do this tour.
