K.It’s definitely worthy to give it a shot. The captain is a professional driver and his warm and wisdom tour guide made the whole cruise trip full of joy. I can’t forgot his infectious laughter, which could brighten you all day.
N.The cruise was cheap and great! The history lesson alone while on it is worth every penny! Captain Wayne has been doing it since the early 80s and astounds me that he seems to be loving every minute of running it as it was his first day! Top bloke! 10/10.
D.Family was very happy with the cruise. Honestly, this really felt like how NZ tourism was a long time back, and never expected to see that in Queenstown. Captain Wayne was an amazing tour guide, and the tour was very informative, and the time and attention he took to take pictures of passengers at the bow, and also at the steering wheel, made this special. Finally, they had an honesty bar on board! Omg that really sums up the Kiwi experience!
J.Debbie was great with answering my 21 question prior to boarding. You are able to take your own food and coffee aboard. They have snacks and drinks to purchase be sure to bring money as it's CASH ONLY. Eddie our skipper was great and very knowledgeable. Thanks team really enjoyed our experience highly recommend.

S.Gorgeous views, reasonable price. The tour guide did not mention the tangata whenua of the area and pronounced Wakatipu "Whack-a-tip-oo" the entire time. Otherwise, was enjoyable and we got to see where the Canada parts of X Men Origins Wolverine was filmed.

s.Words dont do justice to this place. It's so amazing. The cruise is beyond words. It takes your around lake wakatipu and the captain describes the place beautifully. It's not that fancy or huge but the experience is out if the world. You can but drinks on board and has a decent selection. Great value for money. Highly recommended .

B.My wife and I took the 2pm cruise on our honeymoon. Betty, who runs the show with her husband Wayne was very personable at the ticket office. Wayne was hilarious on the cruise making jokes and driving expertly around d the lake. The boat was large enough to not feel like was going to capsize in the rough water we had on the way back to the dock at the end. Wayne has a lot of knowledge about the surrounding area which he shares over the loudspeaker while captaining his vessel. We would absolutely do this cruise again. I did lose my green Boston Red Sox cap on the cruise, but that's not their fault.
J.A very entertaining and educational afternoon. Wayne the skipper is great fun. We sat on the roof and enjoyed a wine totally engaged in his commentary and knowledge. A very accommodating good bloke. Thanks Wayne!

R.Had the privilege of cruising with Wayne on a chilly but still early winter afternoon. The cruise was very pleasant, and Wayne showed great hospitality and manākitanga for his guests. A particular shout-out to his friendliness with a rainbow couple. Would recommend.
O.We just went on the cruise this morning and I've never had such an enjoyable experience on a boat tour like I did this one. Wayne was a great captain with almost 40 years experience and plenty of interesting stories and great jokes to keep us entertained for the whole hour and a half. Whether it was a story of the gold rush or offering photos of us driving the boat or on the bow with the remarkables as a backdrop, he kept us engaged through the whole thing. I would certainly recommend

W.A fun tour of the area in a very nice boat. The offer to drive the boat as well as the great information delivered during the tour made it worth while. Have your camera ready to snap some photos. It does get a bit windy so you may struggle to hear the captain depending on where you're sitting.

V.Not the best weather for a Queenstown cruise but honestly it made no difference whatsoever as you can sit inside. The Million Dollar Cruise was brilliant - Wayne really knows his stuff about the local area making his commentary top notch and that combined with his fabulous sense of humor made it so worthwhile.
The boat itself is spotless, lovely to have comfortable seating, tables, snack bar with drinks and an on-board toilet (great if you have kids or elderly people) and a lovely outdoor viewing deck upstairs and outback.
Would I do it again? Most certainly!
Would I recommend it? Without hesitation!

P.Price is very reasonable. Boat is slow but it is relaxing cruise on the lake with some good views. Only 4 stars because there is no eftpos facility (cash only) for the bar and without water in the heat was not pleasant. The captain/guide was very knowledgeable about the area and made the journey fun and enjoyable. No need to go upstairs just go to the front of the boat and hang your legs of the edge.
B.Just off the cruise and it was brilliant. Lots of info and lots to see. Great value and Wayne was superb. Thank you and can’t recommend it enough.
N.We loved our trip around the Lake. Eddie was a great captain with a humorous and interesting commentary. You can sit inside or out and we enjoyed beautiful Queenstown sunshine sitting on the seats at the back.

L.We took our 1 and 2 year old on this cruise and they loved it. Just long enough before they lost interest, and a great activity for small kids when most attractions are for older kids.
H.Two cruises a day where you get to see the whole of the Frankton Arm (Botanic Gardens, Kelvin Heights, Karawau Falls and Frankton) It is a gentle cruise on Lake Wakatipu with a bar and snacks on board. You get to watch some trout feeding if you're lucky. Photo opportunities the whole way through with the driver giving you a tour with the guide commentary of history and location. There is also a top deck on the boat.
R.Did the $35 cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. The driver and staff were very friendly with some interesting commentary along the way. The boat was also very comfortable with lots of room.
