A. J. (.The ever helpful DOC office. If you're looking to get out and about around Queenstown or the Southern lakes, without any of the tour company propaganda, this is the place to stop in. Mountain forecasts, lots of independent track and walking information, and information about the National Parks in this, the most stunning part of NZ. A compulsory part of any visit.

F.(Translated) A wealth of practical information and also sometimes advertising. It may feel like you're dealing more with people trying to sell you a product rather than educating you. All the same, and above all, you can find everything you need to organize and book one of the Great Walks, as well as attentive listening. The reception seemed less personalized to me than at Te Anau but remains competent. This may be due to the attractiveness of Queenstown which overloads the staff.

Une mine de renseignements pratiques et aussi parfois publicitaires. L'impression peut être d'avoir plus affaire à des personnes cherchant à vous vendre un produit plutôt qu'à vous renseigner. On y trouve quand même et surtout ce qu'il faut pour organiser et réserver un des Great Walks ainsi qu'une écoute attentive. L'accueil m'y a semblé moins personnalisé quà Te Anau mais reste compétent. C'est peut-être dû à l'attractivité de Queenstown qui surcharge le staff.
