B.Cruise was absolutely amazing, the team was so informative and lovely. We upgraded from the coffee cruise to buffet and the food was to die for. Take my hat off to the chef and the rest of the team for giving us an experience of a lifetime
H.Lakeland Queen it’s a heritage styled vessel, the only one of it’s kind in NZ. The company provides relaxing cruise, great for site seeing, exploring geothermal features, lake beautiful scenery and other natural wonders. The cruise will take you to Mokoia Island, Sulphur Bay and the Maori vallage Ohinemutu. Daily cruise offers full meals or you can simply enjoy glass of wine or coffee.
This is the best way to explore Rotoura’s wonders.

P.We had a lovely cruise on this wonderful paddle-wheel boat! Crew were great, and the captain had a ton of stories. Great way to spend an hour on the lake.
M.We had our wedding reception on the Lakeland Queen, and we are so glad we did. Michelle was so accommodating, and she really went the extra mile to make sure the evening was exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing, and the sunset views from the boat were pretty good too! Thank you so much to all the staff for having us, it was an incredibly enjoyable and memorable evening for all on board.
S.We did the lunch cruise. The Captain's commentary was good. The buffet lunch was average. Not a bad way to spend an hour on a sunny day.
J.Jumped on with my teenage daughter after a busy morning. A great relaxing way to spend an hour, floating accross the lake. Window seats have windows you can.open which was really nice as not much room outside at the front. It gives you a new way of seeing the beautiful lake Rotorua. The staff were all lovely and the commentary was really helpful. If you have an hour to spare, this is a nice inexpensive relaxing way to spend it. Even my teenager loved it.

J.We did enjoy this trip but it would have been a lot better if we could hear the commentary. It hissed and crackled so we missed pretty much every word. Time to update the system guys!
On the bright side the staff were friendly and helpful. The lunch was nice and well presented.
B.The food was amazing, even though we had the coffe cruise, the muffin and coffe was wonderful. We then bought a platter for 2 and was very generous and lovely warm bread too. Great commentary.

K.We booked the dinner cruise and had a very pleasant hour trip around the lake. A buffet dinner was provided and the food was very good. There was a bar on board also and service was prompt and pleasant. A thoroughly enjoyable cruise and good information provided by the captain about different points of interest.

L.My partner and I decided to do the lunch time cruise. After reading poor reviews we were skeptical. But we found it very relaxing and enjoyed it. Staff were helpful friendly.the buffet lunch had plenty for all. We were mindful that this is a tourist attraction for overseas travelers but felt it included home tourists as well. Would highly recommend.
L.Generous platter and comfortable table seating for our wine cruise. Limited outdoor space to view the water but the cruise was just the right length. Some commentary but not too much. A little more would have been nice. Thankfully our sailing was a quiet one so that enhanced our enjoyment. Additional drinks can be purchased from the onboard bar.

T.Cruise timings when we went were 8am, 1pm or 6pm. They offered just the cruise, coffee cruise or a meal with the cruise. We got a brief but of information before the cruise began and some brief information whilst going around the lake.
Friendly service, with coffee and cake. No decaffeinated coffee available.
The cruise seemed to only be a small circuit and although it was reasonable value for money it would have been better if we could have seen more of the lake. Popular with coach tours as it gives then a chance to feed the group whilst still doing something.
Definitely worth doing once.

S.Went on 8am Breakfast sailing. Food was left over from earlier sailing I think and was only just warm. Hashbrowns were dehydrated and hard. Boat itself need a good clean on windows inside. However it was lovely just gliding along listening to the rippling water, watching the birds and thinking how amazing and lovely nature is when suddenly it was all ruined by LOUD pop music. We couldnt hear each other across the table and I saw others having the same problem. Why would you play it loud or even at all on that kind of lake cruise. Went outside to get away from it but then the smokers came out and most threw their smoke in the lake. I would go again because it is absolutely lovely on the water but only if the loud pop music was turned down drastically or stopped altogether. Could not recommend to any overseas visitor at the moment I am very sorry to say.
A.Great cruise, basically a Cafe that takes you on a tour of the lake. The kids really enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
