H.We had the best day out sailing (and chatting) with Nat! Beautiful weather, a great salad with fresh veges from their garden and we stopped for a swim and kayak at an amazing beach! It was a great way to see a lot at once, definitely recommend for while you’re in the Bay of Islands

C.I've already recommended this charter to anyone who will listen over the last few days! A group of friends and I all decided to book this as a nice new years activity, and it more than exceeded expectations. Nat was fantastic, the yacht was incredible and the experience was super easy going with BYO alcohol and plenty of fridge space to keep our drinks cold. We were taken to a beautiful island where we were provided with kayaks and snorkeling gear. We chilled on the beach and did a little track over the island and back, and then were provided a really yummy salad for lunch. Great value for money, and just an awesome experience overall! I will definitely be booking back in again soon :)
C.We had the best day sailing with Nat! The weather turned out beautiful and we had enough wind to enjoy the sail. Really down to earth experience with a delicious home grown garden wrap for lunch. Even got to see some dolphins! A must do when in Russell.
D.We all had a great day out on the Vigilant exploring Urupukapuka and the rest of the islands in the bay of islands! The weather wasn't exactly in our favour but despite the cloud cover, factor 30 and sporadic rain showers we all managed to get burnt by the sun!! Urupukapuka is a great island to explore and you can definitely get to Entico bay if not to the viewing point in time to return for lunch; which was amazing. We were all impressed with what you can cook on a yacht! Nick and nat were very friendly and keen to chat even while they were hauling lines and trimming to. Would definately recommend!! Standard boat rules, heads down, stay off the ropes/hatches.
M.Fun if you enjoy sailing - crew was nice and understanding when we had some trouble getting to the dock.
They took us to a small island to swim/explore. Food was surprisingly really good!
S.A fantastic trip with a great crew. We had the opportunity to kayak, snorkel, walk around a beautiful island and even be taught how to sail. The whole group thoroughly enjoyed our trip on Vigilant. We were even lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins swimming right next to the boat! Nik and Nathalie were very friendly and provided lunch which catered for the numerous food allergies in our group and they also provided tea/coffee. I would highly recommend Vigilant Yacht Charters to everyone.

E.I don't usually review all that much but this experience was pretty exceptional. Nik is knowledgeable, well travelled and certainly well-versed in sailing. We had a very chilled 2 hours of soaking up the Bay of Islands inner area. Felt totally at ease with Nik at the helm and he even gave us a go ourselves! What an elegant boat.
D.We recently had the pleasure of experiencing an overnight charter on the yacht Vigilant, hosted and skippered by the amazing Nathalie. We can't say enough about how much Sue and I enjoyed this charter. We both love being on the water. So having a charter to finish our week in Russell was just the icing on the cake. Vigilant is a classic 42 foot hand crafted vessel full of the style and grace you can't find anymore. We took a great morning motor then a sail out in the bay, anchored for a swim, an amazing fresh salad and smoked chicken lunch, then embarked on more sailing in good breezes and took the helm from time to time. We went ashore and swam again, then anchored up for the night and were treated to a delicious crayfish dinner (the cray caught by Nic, Nathalies partner) accompanied by fresh beans from Nathalie's garden. Bubbles, wine, music, and watched the sun go down and heard the Kiwi's start calling from the island. A superb experience. Nathalie, is the skipper with the mostest. She is a super competent sailor, highly trained (coastguard too) and most of all she beams out good humour, positivity and fun from the second you step aboard. If you want a genuine, kiwi sailing experience, go and join Nathalie on Vigilant. If there was 6 stars we would rate this experience that highly. Thanks Nathalie!
L.Amazing day sailing through the bay of islands. Was initially quite windy and water was choppy but nick and Natalie made us feel safe and had such a wonderful time. Absolutely beautiful islands & yummy lunch!

M.What a fantastic experience. My wife and I were lucky enough to hop aboard during a spectacular day. Nik and Nat took us around the Bay of Islands to see bird, jellyfish, and penguins! We stopped over at an island and were able to relax on the beach and go for a hike (unreal view of the surrounding bay). On our way back, we were able to go sailing and caught up to some dolphins! Truly a unique voyage.
M.What a fabulous day we had with Nik and Nathalie. The Vigilant is a beautiful boat with a wonderful history. These guys were super accommodating of us and the kids, knew the area really well and provided a great lunch. One of the best days of our whole trip and definitely recommended!
F.Awesome sailing and great company. A fantastic encounter with bottle nose dolphins and under sail you could hear them chatting to each other and us! Nik and Natalie are highly experienced sailors and give you the opportunity to get stuck in if you want or just surf the beanbag. I.Went on the Vigilant yacht as part of our family holiday in the Bay of Islands. It was an absolutely amazing experience! The time on the water was marvellous; Nick and Natalie are excellent both as sailors and tour hosts, efficient, helpful and very friendly.
We stopped at Moturua island where members of our party could swim, kayak, snorkel or walk on the island as they wished, and plenty of time was allowed for it. Afterwards, when the wind picked up, we had a great time sailing about in the bay.
The whole day went like a dream. I definitely recommend the Vigilant and her crew to anyone looking to enjoy the Bay of Islands.

R.Splendid day outing on Vigilant! Professional, welcoming and knowledgeable Nik and Nathalie showed the glories of the Bay of Islands. Set anchor at a secluded bay at Moturua Island - enjoyed the views during a round-the-island hike and snorkeling on a small reef. Lunch was tasty and ample for our gang of 21 year olds, and the friendly atmosphere aboard was wonderful. Highly recommend to any and all!

M.Nik & Natalie were the perfect Crew & hosts on the Vigilant today, we learned a lot about the history of the Bay Islands, and what a delicious healthy Lunch they made for us. There was also the opportunity to explore one of the Islands either by Snorkeling, Swimming, Kayaking or by Nik taking you to shore in the Dingy...or if you just want to stay aboard ..relax, sunbathe and have a cuppa made for you!
We highly recommend you Charter the Vigilant for the perfect experience !!!

Quelle superbe journée nous avons passé sur le Vigilant! Nick et Nathalie sont très gentils et toujours ouverts à la conversation, et leur compagnie fut un régal! Nous avons vu des dauphins, nous avons fait une halte sur une île magnifique, nous avons vu les mystérieux îlots volcaniques, les "black rocks".... et quel bonheur de passer la journée sur un si beau voilier. Recommandé à 100%!
