Wow! What a great experience. The woman helping us was so knowledgeable, not to mention extremely attentive and kind. We went in with no expectations and came out with so many ideas and a kayak trip booked. Can't stress enough how lovely she is, and I would definitely recommend giving them a visit.

I visited this place twice on separate days. The first visit I was greeted by two very friendly staff members who shared a lot of information about local attractions in the area. This was a very pleasant experience, and I said I would return in the coming days to purchase some souvenirs. The second visit was less welcoming, this time from a different staff member from the first visit. I felt she was slightly rude and seemed to be inconvenienced by my presences. Not sure if she was having a bad day or didn't enjoy her role working there. If it wasn't for the second experience I would have given a 5 star rating.

Super friendly Dutch lady helped us plan the Abel Tasman coastal walk. She took a lot of time to help us, great experience.

Great place with information center, water to refill your water tank, place to dispose of your dirty water, place for electric cars, sink outside, restrooms 🚻, hot shower🔥🚿 2 min for 2 NZD, waste bins. Is located in front of grocery store and you can walk to anywhere in town from here.

Helpful and informative is what you want in a Vistors' Centre. This one goes the extra mile and gives you all the added tips you need to make sure you get the most out of every visit. Every time I travel to Takaka I buy several postcards - they cost $1 which is 80 cents cheaper than in the nearest postal centre, ie over the hill!

Golden Bay visitor information Center has alot of relevant brochures for the surrounding area as well as further afield. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about what's on offer.

If you need to book anything at this info site they will charge you to do so. First time I have ever been charged administration fees for a service which I believed that is what they are there to do - assist tourists, not charge them more?!

Great place to find information, hot showers, toilets, a sink where to wash dishes. Everything is very clean. Top !
