A.We were lucky enough to arrive at a time they could take us up straight away. They showed us the map, we chose the 15 minute flight- it goes so quickly. Tyler was an excellent pilot, I'm no flyer but I ended up getting my phone out and taking photos which I never thought I'd be brave enough to do. A fantastic way to see the lake, town, mountains and rock carving. Will do again.
K.Amazing! We did the Tour of Taupo to kick off our honeymoon. Our pilot George was wonderful, so nice and informative. This was our first time in a helicopter and we had such a great time. Can't wait to go again!

G.From the start when we made the booking and got an upgrade at the office it was fantastic. Somehow they even got the little bit of cloud to move away from the mountain. Brilliant trip, fantastic pictures and well worth it. Should be a trip of a lifetime but it is so good I will have to come back.

H.A fabulous location for a flight, and we were gloriously lucky with the weather. We did the 90-minute "Mountain Magic" flight, and views of the lake and volcanoes were spectacular. Our pilot was very personable and informative. It was a great experience.
One small gripe: after the trip my partner and I were comparing notes and both of us commented on the fact that the pilot's flight path didn't give great views of some of the close-up features to be seen (such as the Emerald Lakes, Crater Lake and the volcanic craters, etc.) because unlike other helicopter flights we have done the helicopter didn't bank to give back-seat passengers views out of the side windows (and often a better view for the front-seat passenger too). Rather, we just flew straight up and over many of these features. Still amazing, but I point this out for the operators to have a think about and maybe modify their gameplan a bit.
The landing site used was also a little underwhelming, but they may be very restricted as to where they can land...up on a volcano top would be more dramatic, but they may not be permitted to do this.
Despite these comments, it was a great flight and I recommend it to anyone
J.Good competent pilot, points of interest highlighted and good view of the falls. Cafe kitchen service was slow and curly fries weren't yellow or crunchy, but staff friendly. Looked like the proprietor was ensconced at one of the tables - don't use one of his seats!
J.Awesome authentic Greek food cafe with a nice covered deck for outdoor seating, leading into a walkway to a retired Russian helicopter for the kids to play. Well worth pulling over to stop for a coffee and/or meal. Plenty of parking available.

a.Nice place for seating and enjoying a cup of coffee ☕️ inside or outside the cafe .The helicopter 🚁 ride is nice too but bit expensive $99pp just for 7 min
S.First time in a little helicopter and I loved it! The wind picked up a bit while we were in the air but the pilot was very professional and got us down alive. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

J.Taupo helicopter scenic flights that amaze, What a great way to see Lake Taupo and great way to start your holiday whilst in Taupo. We were picked up and dropped by the team & our friendly pilot with great local knowledge was very informitive about this world heritage area. All this made it a trip we would never forget. I would highly recommend spending less on activities like bungey jumping and get the big picture from above in a helicopter and see all of Taupo not just the tourist main route. Just Awesome
