Loved this experience. Kids were well looked after and scenery is amazing. You get super close to the falls. You get wet but not enough to need a full change. Bring a towel though. Jandals are OK. Sunglasses are good but hats would fly off. I took my mobile and got some great shots. Recommend. Thanks Chopper!

Got the ride as a Christmas present. Best gift ever. 30 minutes of jet boating between the Aratiatia dam and Huka falls. Awesome to see the falls from the lower level. The jet boat driver was cool, knew his stuff and excelled at scaring the teenage girls sitting behind me if their screams were anything to go by.... Will definitely go again.

Alice was our driver and she sure provided a thrilling jet boat trip to the Huka falls. Very friendly and regularly checking in with us all to make sure we were happy. A spur of the moment decision to do this trip and we're so pleased we did.

A high adrenaline experience on the pristine Waikato River. The jet boat goes down to the Aratiatia Dam then travels back up the river last the Geothermal Power Plant and up to the Huka Falls Gorge. A fun family experience. It isn't cheap but it's a good memory maker for a birthday or special occasion. Dress warm and be prepared to get a bit wet.

Absolutely loved this experience. Wouldn't recommend sitting at the front - the guide was right, it is an ejecto seat. But would definitely do it again. Staff were lovely and the experience was so fun.

10/10 staff friendly funny. The boat its self is awesome the speed and all the 360s you do are just fun. Now going to the Hukafalls at the bottom is worth the price by itself just seeing it at that angle is amazing.

Went on the ride today with kids. Beautiful morning and very friendly and polite driver. She stopped at various points to explain significance of that place, be it the power station or the falls itself. For anyone considering this and a bit scared of the ride. I'd say its looks more scary than it is. I am really scared of water, but I absolutely enjoyed the ride. The Driver is professional and considerate. I would have given it 5 stars, had their video cameras been clean, price is a bit on the high side, but OK to do it once. Do in on a nice day, we had to wait three days to find the perfect morning.

Heaps of fun, got a little wet but nothing to cry about (Only an idiot would expect to stay dry) team was brilliant and the little tid-bits of info were good. Lead us to the Aratiatia dam opening the next day

Well worth the money paid. Was raining hard so our booking got pushed back- no problem with the staff who were all so nice and accommodating. All the safety gear was there and was the heated hand rail 😂 which was actually really nice. Heaps of spins, close runs, ins and outs, great view of Huka Falls and generally great fun. Loved it as did the younger kids

What a fantastic experience! Friendly, helpful staff with a sense of humour. My daughter and I loved every minute of this ride. It seemed to last a lot longer than 30 minutes and was great value for money. We had so much fun. Our driver "Chopper", was awesome! Bring a towel lol.

Took my work team away for a weekend getaway and had this for a Sunday morning wake up! Huka Jet really looked after us all and made us all feel welcome and made sure we all had a great time. Scott our driver was just like one of our team and made us all comfortable. Was really cool to see the falls from the bottom rather than the top.

That was my first experience with the kids. Really enjoyed a lot . The adventure of the Huka Falls Jet was really amazing and the ride was about for 30 minutes. The most interesting part of the ride was that when we were approaching the main point of the falls where the water was coming with its full pressure. We have had many spins and rolls while on the Jet boat. The driver also guided many things during the journey. We had also got a chance to view the first thermal power station along side of the Huka Falls. I would recommend this for everyone even quite enjoyable for the kids as well. There was no fear and whole journey became enjoyable and memorable.

Oh My God! This jet boat was the most exhilarated thing me and my husband did in our trip to New Zealand! The highlight of our holiday! Do not miss it, I promise you that you won't regret it! Was a bit apprehensive about it as I am not a very courageous woman and it seemed dangerous but boy was I wrong! And the most important thing is that I felt safe at all times as the driver was absolutely amazing! He even managed to avoid all the ducks in our way 😂 The 360 degrees spins and turns were amazing! Was screaming in delight all the time and I am not a screamer 😜 and he got us soooo close to the actual fall...amazing driver, kudos to him...word of advice though - wear a beanie as my ears were frozen...they give you protection for your clothes and a safety vest but the ears are exposed to the wind even if it's hot weather... Uhmmm...did I mention how much I love it????

Extremely fun, though I was disappointed that the driver wasn't more cautious of the wildlife 😔 I was led to believe they would slow down if wildlife were in danger, but the boat certainly hit some 😭 Surely there are more precautions that could be taken!

I ordered ticket online without any problems 11 days before. Place was easy to find and there was plenty parking spaces. Rain coats are provided in order not to get wet and I really appreciated since I visited them during winter months. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Captain of boat gave us some information about area and especially told us about signals which he will use during ride especially 360 turn signal when boat turn 360 degrees in high speed. Cameras are allow but must be securely attached to body to avoid losing them. Handheld mobiles or cameras are not allowed. We got really close to Huka Falls and it was incredible experience. There is also possibility to buy photos and videos made by on board camera either as dvd or usb stick after ride. I bought it because photos and videos were taken from different angels than mine. I highly recommend to experience Huka Falls with Huka falls Jet

This is a must do experience in Taupō! Our driver Jimmy was an expert behind the wheel and went out of his way to drift around almost every obstacle on the river, took us close to the falls (the best way to see them) and did many 360° turns. Loved it!

Once in New Zealand everyone has to ride these kind of jetboats. An ABSOLUTELY MUST DO. We had a fantastic time! Totally worth it. Superfast with lots of 360 degrees spins. Just get a rainjacket because you get really wet.

Exciting jet boat ride with many 360 turns. Got us very close to Huka Falls and dam. Not as crazy as jetskis but a notch below. A tad expensive at over $100 each, but worth it for us. Might add for those concerned, very safe.

Damm what a ride. My boy was like dad we must go. At first I was like na too expensive but man I was wrong. The ride goes for 30min and the whole ride is thrilling. Then if you want to do it again it only cost 19 bucks if you do the ride again straight away.

It was raining when we went and we had to wait until it calmed down a bit before we got do to our ride. Our boat driver, Steve, was fun and cool. He was kind enough to ask us if we want to do more turns which we gladly said yes to. It was a great experience overall.

Did this activity with my family. Definitely our favourite activity in Taupo! The kids loved the high speed turns on the water and getting up close to Huka Falls. Lots of laughs and screams on the ride. The driver was very entertaining too! The only downfall was some of the pictures for our group didn't come through so we had to take some family shots again after the activity was done. Overall - this is one awesome activity we'll never forget!

Awesome adventure. Definitely recommend and the closest you can get to the Huka falls (safely). As the flow was on the low side our skipper took us right into the waterfall spray. Take a towel :) Our pilot was hard case and really made it a fun experience.

These guys are very professional and friendly. I've been on lots of het boats but this trip was by far the best. I took my grandsons aged 7 an 5 with me and by the end they were wanting to go again. Best day of my life so far said one of them. Liam our driver was awesome as were the rest of the crew. DO THIS!!

MUST TRY IT! extremely fun and all staffs are friendly. They provided shuttle service from/to city centre. We asked to be dropped off at the falls so can walk thru bushwalk down to the town. It was great and easy walk. Highly recommended!

This thrilling and adrenaline pumping experience deserves a place amongst everyone’s mandatory “Bucket List”.. If you would like to go careening on the Waikato River at ridiculous speeds, swerving around the ducks, foliage, under bridges doing 360 spins then you don’t want to miss this adventure at all... the only activity that allows you to get up close to the Huka Falls for some awesome selfie’s... Can it get any better than this? Of course because the staff were amazing to deal with and catered to our family holiday superbly. Steve who is the ultimate guru of the jet boats is just as crazy fun as the ride is and we had tonnes of fun 😎😎

Video(Go Pro) not working to cover the Jet boat ride. We paid in advance for the hukka falls jet along with photo and video package. Before the start of the trip I enquired in reception and they confirmed video is present and come back to reception after the trip. But during the middle of the trip, the driver said video(Go Pro) is not working. Though I got the partial refund for video package, I have specifically asked the staff at reception wether I will get any additional discount if I book one more trip since I was very much excited to have the video of the boat ride. The staff straight away said it's impossible to have any discounts or consideration for me even after acknowledging it's their problem that video didn't work. I was expecting a little bit more consideration from them for such a heavy price(nearly paid 370 dollars for three persons). I am disappointed because we expected video for the boat ride and we booked the whole package well in advance. Also the copied photos into the USB is for another group and I had to verify it twice and come back for getting it corrected!. Tips : 1. Check if video/ GoPro is working in the boat before the start of the trip. Double check, and triple check with the driver before the boat starts because once the trip starts your money is gone even if video doesn't work. When enquired at reception the staff said the video was not working for a variety of problems(such as server problem etc.) previously as well to other customers and they recently fixed it. Check before the trip starts and avoid the disappointment. 2. If you copy your digital photo in usb, confirm it immediately by rechecking by copying it to laptop because I had an experience of getting the photos of another boat trip rather than ours. Luckily I checked the usb photos immediately from the car before leaving the place. If video is important for you, double check in advance or look out for another jet boat service as they refuse to entertain any additional discount for a second trip.

Very nice place, has all the facilities required. Staff are nice enough and served me well. I especially enjoyed the flirty female working when i came in. I enjoyed the place thoroughly and the services provided. Im unsure however weather i would come here i was suffering from any variation of hepatitis the vibe of the place also felt specially threatening to hepatitis A. Im unsure weather they would allow you to bring in an animal however big it may be. I would like to emphasize that i strongly feel hep A is not welcomed here.

This is a must do experience, however... Its getting four stars from me vs five as I booked an instant replay for me and my daughter and their booking system couldn't cope. Result, they would honour the second trip but not for another two hours*. Not really what I had in mind when it was booked... TIP! Make sure you specify that your booking includes the replay if like me you suspect ya kids will say "Again! Again! Again!". *Refund provided no issue.

Just did the Hulka falls Jet, was the highlight of my trip to New Zealand so far and incredibly fun. Alex the driver was a legend and very knowledgeable about all the sights on the river. And he threw us around like crazy. Was wicked! If Alex is driving be prepared to get wet haha! Cheers mate!

Highly recommend this experience - it only takes about a half hour and it's quite a thrill. You get very close to the base of Huka Falls. They will give you ponchos and glasses. Don't wear a hat or you'll be trying to hold it to your head the whole time.

I wasn't prepared for how much fun this was going to be!! The drivers are bordering crazy with how close they get to obstacles (but you always feel safe and in control) and the 360 spins are epic! Couldn't beleive how beautiful the Waikato river is with it amazing bush, crystal clear water and the awesome Huka Falls - highly recommended. What an epic afternoon thanks team!
