Such a great way to spend our Sunday! The Wellington rafting team is very well prepared & equipped to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. You'll get to go through spectacular scenery that you wouldn't get to see otherwise. love the rapids & the good company. Being so close from home I'll definitely do it again. Thanks heaps!

Hamish and Sam facilitated an awesome four hour family adventure down the Te Awa Kairangi /Hutt River Gorge. Located just minutes from the city and yet this beautiful wilderness felt a lifetime away from everything. the scenery and bird life are stunning and the water is so pure and refreshing. Hamish runs a super professional operation, we were well equipped with top flight rafts, wetsuits and thermals for those that wanted them. Hamish's briefing and management during the trip was flawless. The less experienced of us felt totally safe and there was heaps of opportunity for fun, for example the optional rock jumps along the way. Not one of us would have missed this trip and I for one am keen for the next opportunity to enjoy the magical scenery and adventure found in this place.

I have done a few whitewater rafting trips before, but this was by far the best organized and most scenic floats ever. Being a Wellington local, and having been through the Hutt Gorge a few times before, I wanted to share the experience with my young son and others. It’s great having the low flow, and high flow boat options. Hamish and his river guides are very professional, organized and thoroughly safety conscious. Wellington really lacks adventure-based activity’s, and you HAVE to put this trip on the top of your list! The Hutt Gorge is one of the most scenic locations in New Zealand guaranteed! Also the perfect corporate team-building exercise. AAA+++

I was lucky enough to have a chance at doing the grade 2 rafting tour, and man what an experience it was! The team at Wellington rafting were professional, considerate and provided such a great day for the group. They had all the gear we could need, and were super aware of our capabilities, managing the group on the water so well. I only have praises for Wellington Rafting and cant wait to get out there again with them! Thanks for an amazing experience team! <3

I had the pleasure of being guided down the river by Hamish and the crew from Wellington Rafting. Wow what an amazing experience! The scenery is breath taking and the rapids are exhilarating. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an exciting adventure in a beautiful part of New Zealand.

EPIC!!! Is all I need to say, Hamish and the crew know how to guide a bunch of tradies down a river with ease and lot laughs. Had an epic day on the water and Hamish’s knowledge of this country of ours forest and trees is something extremely special and bloody awesome to hear and see. I highly recommend and boys I will be booking in for that grade 3 and anything higher you get your hands on. Tu Meke Bro

Had an amazing day with Hamish on a grade 3 rafting trip - stunning scenery, hard to believe you're not far from the Hutt Valley. A really fun experience with lots of jiggling and giggling.

I've rafted a few times before, but the trip with Hamish exceeded my expectations. The whole family loved it. The scenery was amazing, including the big eel, the rock jumping, the picnic, the guides. We're definitely doing it again, and I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Awesome experience, we had the all afternoon with wellington rafting team down to the Hutt river. We stop for diving and lunch as well in a calm area and then down jumping on the water.

Just got back from an epic trip rafting with Hamish! What a gent to go out in the water with. Add a helicopter and it's an experience that you can't forget! All of us learned heaps today and can't wait to be back. Cheers for a great day

Awesome experience!!! Felt entirely safe the whole time with the tour guide but the rafting was still engaging and challenging to just the right level. The guide is a legend and added a really authentic touch with commentary on the landscape and the river. He also showed us some especially cool spots that we stopped off at. I felt closer and more in sync with the people I did it with afterwards because we all had to work together to get the boat going in the right direction and we all experienced the splashes, speed and getting stuck together. This would be a great option for a team-day for any business, from corporate to hospo!

Great wellington rafting experience, we had so much fun and look forward to going again. The guide Hamish is very professional and awesome. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone.

Great communication before our booked time on the awa and was even flexible enough to change our time which was great. Love knowing about the awa we were rafting down. The 2 hour scenic raft is definitely relaxing and smooth. Looking forward to going to the 4 hour one hopefully sometime soon 🤩🤩🤩. 100% RECOMMEND

For my 66th birthday, my wife booked us both with Wellington Rafting to do the Kaitoke Gorge, something we have wanted to do for a long time. Awesome - it far exceeded any expectations we had. Hamish and Gavin were so professional, and such alot of fun to be with. The scenery and their knowledge of the gorge was amazing. Their passion for this stood out all the time. We would both definitely recommend doing this trip, no matter what age group and would certainly do it again. Thanks guys - we both loved it!! Bruce and Jan Dyhrberg

Wicked time coming down the river in the double duckies. Fantastic scenery, a great guide, loved the rapids and tee lunch was choice to. Can't wait to do it again!

Multiples packages, great kaupapa. A very professional product with the best adventure vibes. If you can stretch the funds and have a group, try the heli-rafting trip up the Waiohine River. This is some beautiful, pristine country coming out of the Tararua Ranges.

I highly recommend taking a trip down the hutt river with Wellington Rafting. I have been down the river twice now and it is a majestic experience. I have been in both the 8 person raft and the 2 person ducky boats and each time I felt very safe.
