Super hostel! We stayed twice, once in a dorm, once if a private room and both were great. Everything is clean and comfy. People are respectful and staff is very helpful! Would 100% recommend, plus their bar also offers great deals, check it out if you're visiting Wellington!

Great location and nice places to go nearby. Nice hall to work or chill. Cleanliness is terrible though, there were pidgeons and sparrows roaming around and eating around the kitchen and the showers in the bathrooms were clogged and dirty. Affordable, ok place to stay, just mind that is not super clean.

Bunkbed are noise every time you climb onto it. Toaster are too old n not working properly. Kettle is old looks dirty inside. Fridge are not gold enough. Bathroom some are out of order. Tap on the sink are loose. Sofa are fully n looks nasty. Etc...

Such a fantastic backpackers!
The staff at night were great, there is a free dinner from 5-6pm and the price was fantastic. The bed was really comfortable, there was an elevator to accommodate my broken ankle and the bathrooms had great privacy. Everything was clean. I can't reiterate enough how comfortable the bed was.
The location is very central and it has fairly easy access from state highway 1.

Good location.
Kitchen area could be tidier. Hot water zip not operating.
Web site states breakfast included in room price but this isn't correct.

Stayed here as a single backpacker in a 4-shared dorm with en-suite. I could check in earlier than the check-in time and the location of the hostel is great everything is walkable! Reception staff helped me a lot with planning activities in town like a wine tour, helped me with finding a good and cheap gym and my airport shuttle very early on my check-out day. Common area got a big screen where everybody is watching movies. Kitchen was big enough during my staff and enough space in the fridge for my food, laundry is easy to use and reception open 24/7! Def recommended! To go the Blend bar next door for free meals and cheapest drinks in town

I booked room for my daughter and myself online in advance. They upgraded our beds without telling us 😊
Location is great!!!! The room was a bit dirty and outdated but good enough for backpackers. Heard music and noises from the pub next door but they stopped at 10-11 pm (Friday night). Overall, we both enjoyed staying at nomad. We will come back 😃

Stayed in a basic ensuite room. We were surprised by what you get for such a small price. Full ensuite and comfortable double bed and even a TV. Was not noisy. Great location.

We had awesome time there great room awesome team very friendly, good to go out the back for a smoke as well just around the corner lots of shops

It was a cheap stay, however just very minimal facilities. Only wifi at the lobby but super slow. Gotta pay extra for wifi in the room. The place is somewhat clean. The only good thing was the location of this hostel, very central !
L.
The location is perfect, right in the city center. Service is amazing, and staff went out of their way to assist. Timmy in the reception is awesome!! He helped me with EVERYTHING I asked for and was super friendly. Couldn’t be more grateful. Tim rocks.
Showers could drain better, covers could be warmer and they do need to solve the overflowing of groceries in the fridge/kitchen.
Nevertheless, there is free pancakes in the morning and dinner in the evening in the bar next door. Even if I stayed there for less than a week I felt like I was part of a family <3 Coming back to Wellington I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!!

We had a good stay at this hostel. Central location, good prices, very nice room with clean towels delivered every day! Didn’t try the breakfast but only thing that gave it less stars was the lack of WIFI in the rooms and even in the common room. We were told wifi was free but it is only free in the lobby and with 50+ people on it became incredibly frustrating to just look up places to eat etc.
A. G.
Awesome hostel! Prime location and the free breakfast and dinner are super nice! Felt like family there. Everyone there was so helpful, Tim at the desk was so awesome and gave us a bunch of suggestions for our north island road trip. Would have given 5 stars, but the kitchen and fridge does get pretty crowded, so cooking can be hard. Also only free WiFi in the lobby.
R. S.
Enjoying my stay there, good free food every nights.
Very lovely and helpful staff.
Clean kitchen and nice area to watch movies.
Cheap price I recommend it to everyone.

Great free breakfast and much better location, right in the city center. Bed was comfortable (bunk bed) and we had private bathroom in a room for 4. Kitchen is a bit small but you get free dinner too (I tried just once, pretty average but was for free). Noises all night long, you can hear the music of the club beside the hostel and people on the corridors. The staff was ok.

Enjoyed my stay here, although it wasn’t the best for a family stay. The receptionists were awesome, really nice people. Room was clean and comfortable. We got a four people room but got one towel, the receptionist responded pretty quick which I was happy about. Kitchen was awesome and the breakfast and dinner included in the stay price were pretty good. Private wifi for one day? The rest have to use public wifi downstairs, that was free so great. Three stars because the rooms were pretty small. I do have to pick on the fact that we found the breakfast lady pretty was pretty quiet, no smiles and no clear instruction of what to do to get the breakfast. First day it was put your plate next to her and second day was pick it off the plate next to her. The dinner venue was pretty cool... The rubbish cleaner was pretty cool too, just unlock our door come in and out. Good two nights in Welly

Staffs are super friendly! Very cheap and nice location. Free sauna is nice. And I booked 12 dorm room they gave me 8 dorm room. They clean every room every day. Just the toilet is a bit dirty at night but still nothing too much to complain!
S. D. D.
Excellent location. Great staff. I'd recommend they actually attend the breakfast however, they setup a pancake station, but you have to cook your own and there wasn't any coffee. OK so I might be petty (the pancake better was perfect by the way) but the room isn't exactly cheap for a hostel.
FYI dorm room doors close very loudly if you're a light sleeper.
W. C.
It's really hard for me to rate this place, because the hostel itself is nice, the staff is cool, the facilities are very good too. They have an offer with the bar next door where you can have a free diner, which is always good.
They also have a "free pancake morning" which consist of leaving a big tray of dough for everyone to cook their own pancakes. I let you picture A WHOLE HOSTEL cooking their pancakes one rusty pans shoulder to shoulder in the morning... I can't really recommand the experience.
AND, around 1:30am, some random old dude can come claim his rightfully paid bed in the dorm, and reveal himself AS THE WORST SNORER ON PLANET EARTH. That is obviously not the hostels fault, but it was one of the worst night of my life.
A. G.
It was a pretty nice hostel compared to others. The kitchen was kind of small and there were 2 bathroom per section but ours only had 1 toilet for everyone. It ended up not being a problem because we woke up at different times thankfully. The area was pretty clean overall. We stayed in the dorm style and I would recommend bringing an eye mask because you never know when the lights will be shut off. The free breakfast was pancake batter which was nice and very demanded. You could get a free voucher for dinner to go next door between 6-7 to get a snack size potatoes and sausage which was not terrible.

A little Gem of a hostel right in the heart of Wellington. Would definitely recommend staying here. Like most hostels they have free breakfast every morning but they also have free dinner EVERY evening which is not only great for the budget but it is also communal style so a nice social atmosphere. Hostel was clean and staff were very friendly from the minute I arrived. Will definitely stay again the next time I am in Wellies.
M. S.
In a great spot that was no more than a 10 minute walk to everywhere I wanted to go. Right near the museum!
I stayed in a private room, which was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was fine, except the shower seemed to not drain very fast, and had to be careful not to flood it.
The staff are friendly and the mood is good. What you'd expect from a backpackers.
The breakfast can be a bit awkward when it's busy, but otherwise was nice.
M. M.
Really great hostel, I've been staying for the last 3 weeks and it has all the good stuff. Amazing location, friendly staff, clean rooms, good showers in the ensuite rooms (haven't tried the communal ones yet), free pancakes, free tea/coffee and free snack size dinner unless you want a full size which is just $2. The only minor complaint is that there is a bar below some of the rooms I've been in on the first floor and the music can get pretty loud. I had no issues once I used some earplugs which they provide free at reception. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
M. I.
Nice shared room, we had a private bathroom. The building itself was nice and rather new. I previously stayed in Nomads Auckland and this one is head and shoulders above that one. A couple things they could improve is that they have a really small common area right next to reception and the locker bag room is WAY too small. When I came in there was enough bags to fully fill 3 bag rooms of the current one. Location is great, very central and friendly staff. Kitchen was small but had the necessities, breakfast was free DIY pancakes which was easy and nice. Internet is also not free but I would def stay there again.
T. B.
Real good prices, helpful staff.
Rooms cleaned daily.
Free WiFi.
Good location and not far from public transport.
If there is one thing I can say is the people there can leave the kitchen pretty dirty and would have to impliment a system to counter that. But other then that it is great to stay and friendly staff.
J. N.
We enjoyed our 2 nights at Nomads Capital, especially the very central location. We had a private room that slept 3, the beds were very comfortable, small but good enough for just 1 or 2 nights.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and made us feel every welcome.
Areas for improvement could be:
1/ improved showering facility (shower curtain did not do its job, hence water on the floor.
2/ More room for people to sit and eat.
3/ New pans for cooking pancakes - most were bent and some were about to lose their handles which could endanger users.
M. K.
Right next to the action of Cuba street this hostel is clean, friendly and has good facilities. The free meal is tasty and the $2 upgrade is definitely worth the money. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bar has regular drink and meal specials. My last night I received an upgraded room which was a really nice surprise. Good atmosphere, free tea and coffee and free pancake breakfast!
It is a dry Hostel but there are five dollar drinks at the bar and being so close to Cuba St it is easy to head out for a cheap meal and share a bottle of wine (or two) with some hostel buddies.
Definitely worth checking out if you are heading to Wellington.

I stayed here for a one night stopover with friends. On arrival at 8.30am we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered free pancakes, tea & coffee for breakfast and free baggage storage no problem either! We went out for the day and checked in late in the evening which was no problem with the 24hr reception. Our room was a twin room with an extra bed. The beds were clean and really comfortable (not hard like most hotels). We stayed on the 3rd floor on the street side of the hotel. There was the normal Saturday night traffic to be heard outside, but you have to expect that in the city. No trouble getting to sleep. The room was modern, warm and the ensuite was clean and modern also. The room price was excellent value, location was perfect, staff were awesome and I would definitely stay here again.

I read reviews about the hotels and backpackers in Wellington and read the ones for Nomads and I almost didn’t stay here but I’m glad I did. Yes the bunks were creaky when you first sat on them, the first night the sound of a pipe making noise lasted 30 secs never heard it again and thin walls only when some people next door were yelling and playing music loud but that lasted a minute and stopped, there were girls laughing like clowns real loud in the courtyard but that was around 7pm lasted 20 mins then it was quiet. It was a quiet hostel great for a good nights sleep, hostel was really clean minus the kitchen but that’s the guests fault not the backpackers because their staff were constantly cleaning up after messy backpackers. They even had a person in the evening politely knocking on the door collecting rubbish from the bins.
I stayed here for two nights. I flew into Wellington from Auckland at 8am, I arrived at the hostel and was greeted by a friendly smiling woman at the desk she welcomed me in, showed me where to put my bags and offered me tea and coffee then asked if I would like to have breakfast (pancakes) since I was a guest and everyone downstairs were having breakfast. I declined but the gesture made me feel welcomed even though I had paid to stay but not checked in. I came back an hour before check in and asked if it was ok to check in early because I was at a competition and during a break I rushed back to see if I could check in early because we all know most of us want the bottom bunk.
As I waited the woman behind the desk understood my urgency to get back went out of her way to check if the cleaners were done with my room and it wasn’t her job to check it it was someone else’s but she took time to make sure I was settled and she let me check in a little earlier. She informed me about the free breakfast and free dinner before I left.
The free dinner was good Mince pie, salad and for $3, I could add a side of fries which usually cost $7 for anyone on a budget free food is good but the food was actually good.
At breakfast the staff were friendly and showed me where to grab everything got the free pancakes and the guy cooking them was cool to talk to. The guys who worked the desk were super friendly too everyone who worked there were really nice and helpful.
I’m definitely staying there again when I visit Wellington next and I visit and stay in backpackers but i’m Definitely not going to stay anywhere else. I love the no alcohol on the premises rule too. I recommend staying here.
w. h.
rooms, facilities, atmosphere and staff all awesome.
Clean, friendly and inviting environment. Staffs are great to talk to and they are always willing to help you with anything you asked.
I get free upgrade from a 10bed to 4 bed ensuite dorm... how much more awesome can that be?
Special mention to the guy (I can't remember his name) who try help fix the plugs that's not working. He tried his best although it can't be helped.
Free pancakes served from 7am onwards but unfortunately for those us who had to catch the inter-islander shuttle at 7am, we don't get to have the free pancakes.
Free snack size dinner is a great idea. However, the vegetarian rice risotto I had that day was a little too salty. I shouldn't have upgrade to the big size for 2 dollar. Not really worth it.
Tips: Booking through their website was cheaper. Call to check before booking.

I have been to a lot of backpackers but Nomads capital stands out!!! the room were very clean, staff were friendly, location was on spot and the kitchen was always tidy and not forgetting that we were served breakfast and dinner everyday. bathrooms were always clear and the bar has cheap house beer as well as something for the buoyant travelers. alcohol is not allowed in the rooms which helps keep the noise down. I love the experience. Cant think of staying anywhere else in Wellington.

Very good hostel. Everything was exactly as it should be👍🏻 If it would be possible I would even give 6 stars because of Dona, who was so sweet and kind. She helped me with buying tickets, and she had so much patience to that. All the Crew of Hostel was nice, but honestly Dona was my number at every aspect!!! She makes me feel like in home when I’m 17000 km away from home. GOOD JOB!👍🏻😘 Thank You for everything 👍🏻🤗

Good hostel. You get what you pay for. Room was unfortunate for us as a guy in there snored badly. No free WiFi either which isnt ideal. Laundry, plenty of clean toilets and showers. Free evening meal next door is poor but it is free. Small portion and not very nice. Made up for by the free pancakes in the morning. Batter is provided so you have to cook yourself which is fine but there are limited hobs so there is a big queue. Busy hostel too.

It's quite nice, I stayed with a group of 7, luckily we were right across the corridor from 2 bathrooms so it was like having our own bathrooms. Our room itself was quite stuffy due to only one small window in the corner, and the beds were quite squeaky (also one of us got lucky with a nicer mattress than the rest of us :P). We had comfortable sleeps nonetheless, as the beds were clean. The bathrooms were nice and clean too, especially the showers. The carpet could have done with a clean though, we saw either blood or beetroot or makeup stains on the floor which we didn't like very much.
The kitchen area is nice overall, hot water for tea, and microwaves and seating. Unfortunately alot of people take the mugs into their rooms and dont bring them back. We did have alot of fun drinking tea out of bowls on our last night.
The best thing about this place is how central it is. We did not take public transport at all, so easy to walk.
Also I love the staircase, it was very nice and quite pretty. The building is also very beautiful.
Overall, a nice backpackers, my first time staying at one, and it didn't disappoint.
C. T.
The staff were very friendly and great location. The room I was in smelled like wet dog and was so hot that it has hard to get to sleep. Only one window and a large fan that didn't do much. The bathrooms were okay, but with so many people coming through that don't care about cleaning up after themselves didn't help matters. Only one hour of free WiFi, but I found New Zealand overall you had to pay for it at some point.
B. F.
I had a reasonable one night stay in a 10 bunk dorm. The hostel is ok but could be better.
Bad points: there was no quiet space to relax - the lounge area is around reception with a tv in one area and music in the other with people constantly coming and going - I just wanted to read quietly after an early start and long day but had to that in my bed. The free pancake batter wasn't very nice and the kitchen too small for the size of the hostel. Bunk beds were creaky and the mattresses thin and covered in a noisy waterproof liner (perhaps the smaller rooms are better?).
Good points: free dinner snack and pancakes for breakfast. Nice staff and generally good vibe. Great location.
L. M.
Stayed at Nomads Capital for 11 nights in a 4-person bedroom. I had the bottom bed of one of the bunk beds which happened to be a double bed so that was quite nice. The bathroom was large and shower pressure good.
Free pancakes were great every morning although the two electric stoves barely ever worked so everyone ended up having to wait in line in order to use the two gas stoves. Only 3 really good pans, all the others were old, bent, handles almost coming off.
Very central location which is perfect, Cuba Street, Ta Papa Museum and supermarkets all 5 minutes or less walk away.
Staff incredibly friendly and helpful!
M. A.
Remco was such a good receptionist there. From the moment we came in, he was not only hospitable but caring and empathetic. He helped me book a great room, gave me a lot to do in the city, and always asked me how I’m doing when I came in! Highly recommend this hostel and place!
T. G.
Good hostel for the price. One of the better hostels in Wellington for sure. Had more of a hotel feel than most hostels which was nice (keycard entry and nice elevator). Staff was very friendly and they even offered a free pancake breakfast and light evening meal for those living on the cheap. Would hit up again.
A.
Great place to stay for backpackers. Very clean and tidy. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Comfortable beds, and great location of the hostel. Far far better than YHA's, Base's and Adventure's.
R. Y.
The staff at Nomads Wellington are incredible!! I had interactions with 6 of them over my 4 day stay, and each of them went above and beyond to advise me, or make me comfortable during my stay (e.g. when I asked to switch rooms or when I asked for an extra blanket). The facilities are incredible and it's right in the city. It was so easy to walk to all the nearby attractions and amazing restaurants and cafes. Plus free pancake breakfast and free entree size dinner if you please :)
But I must say that I'm disappointed in the heating of the rooms (I even upgraded to the best room type). It's one small fan heater that goes on 30 minute cycles. You have to get up through the night, and press the button every 30 mins to have heat. But even so, it's freezing. but it was the coldest weekend ever, and the windows weren't the greatest, so i could feel the draft of the cold wind on my face even with the curtains drawn. Caught a terrible cold by day 4 and won't miss waking up 3 times a night shivering.
But other than the temperature in the rooms, 9.5/10 would stay at Nomads again. Best. Staff. Ever.
G. W.
Quality of sleep in 8 bed dorm 212 was extremely poor. Room has one pathetic window in the corner that doesn't actually let air circulate and the fan (which used to swing around on the first time we stayed here) just wafts hot air into the middle of the room. We opened the door during the day to try and get some air flow going on because the corridor seems to be ventilated enough. The mattresses are so thin, if you sleep on your side it's comparative to being in the floor. On a more positive note, the free dinner is really nice and have enjoyed every time. They also provide free pancake mix in the morning (7am-9am) but you have to get there early enough so you actually get a frying pan and a stove top seeing as they are scarce - one morning I arrived down at 8:07am and there was no mix left. In summary, a pretty average stay for $30 a night but certainly better than some competitors in the city.
G. E.
Our first room was right above their bar and they have loud music cranking all night and drunk people screaming. Unfortunately the windows here don't have any seals or close properly, so don't block any noise at all. Even with ear plugs it's not great. Bar is open really late so we didn't get much sleep the first night.
But when we asked, the staff were very kind and helpful and moved us to a room on the other side of the building which is quieter.
A. R.
Very friendly service and comfy beds. Pancake batter and tea are provided free for breakfast and were a great way to start my morning. Rooms and toilets were clean. Would recommend staying 100%!
E. H.
As I get older & softer, I usually stay in 4-star plus rated accommodation these days, so was pleasantly surprised at how good Nomads Capital Backpackers was. My partner & I had a superb stay at Nomads. The staff we dealt with were all wonderful, the room was very clean & well above expectations, the price was very modest, the location was central and easy to get to and the atmosphere was tremendous. We had a private room with ensuite but there was a good selection of communal accommodation and facilities available, priced accordingly. We will be back.......
S. J.
Overall we liked this hostel, though we found there was a lot of street noise at night so it was hard to fall asleep. I wish we had known the pancakes were DIY because we ended up waiting 30 minutes in the morning to get a free pan to cook pancakes, which wasn't a great experience. (Maybe some warning about the DIY or that it can get busy). The staff were really nice though and very helpful.
G. W.
Relatively clean, good common spaces and helpful staff. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was cosy but sufficient. Downsides would be WiFi is not free ($4 a day or $12 for 7 days) and atmosphere lacking a bit despite the generally young crowd.
V. A.
The Bad: 1. signage outside is very poor so difficult to find with bigger buildings having no numbers showing 2. Room was alongside busy main road - noise from rabble youngsters into early morning, rubbish collectors at 2am, offered a lovely evening meal that was disappointingly luke warm, perhaps a small chair or two in room would have been nice
The Good: great mattress, reasonably sized room in the situation, great to have en suite - even provided soap, and clean linen so that was all highly recommended. Staff were excellent - greater than excellent and really are the key to this business - well done staff. Young and great. Even cleaning the doors (and doing a real good job of it and not just flicking the duster over) and cleaning by staff great. Coffee, tea and sugar provided - thank you. Loved being offered the free dinner (a real treat to have this added)
A. S.
Rooms are quite small and the bar does play loud music until the early hours of the morning. But there's free breakfast and dinner, the security is good with numerous locked doors on the way to your room, and 24 hour staff attendance. Plus it's location is perfect for getting to many attractions.
J. C.
This is a great place to stay. They provide you with a free evening meal each night and a free pancake breakfast, each morning.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. We even had a tv. It is right in the centre of the city within walking distance to everything. It is not far to the information centre if you need help, but the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
C.
Free pancakes in the morning, the free but small portion dinner and the central location were good. I booked a 4 bed doorm but the room was quiet small, the air circulation wasnt good so it remained hot in the room very long and the beds were noisy if somebody moved. The facilities were clean.
T.
I don't normally write these but felt that I should write a review after the excellent stay that I had over the weekend in this hostel. Shared a twin room with ensuite and found the quality and cleanliness to be excellent especially for the price. Close to Cuba street, which had lots of food stalls and things going on.
A.
Nice and clean hostel. The 6 share room was fine, amenities in good repair. Helpful staff and reception is open 24 hours. Offer free pancake mix for brekky and free basic dinners from 5.30pm via a coupon for a nearby pub.
G.
Had a great stay here. Came with dinner at the bar next door which was good considering the price. Love the fact that you're not allowed alcohol because it means you can have a great sleep! The bar next door does cheap beer and you're right next to cuba.
A. B.
Was upgraded from a 10 bed to a 4 bed (possibly because of a large group booking?). Room was small but adequate, ensuite bathroom was good size and clean. I was first one up so luckily had no issues waiting for other roomates to use it. Bed was a bit squeaky but quite comfortable.
Reception staff on check in were friendly and efficient. When went to check out there was quite a queue and only one staff member on the desk - who was also on the phone. Another staff member was flitting about cleaning the desk. I'm sure she could have stopped what she was doing to help out.
A. M.
Good hostel, clean, great location, free pancakes and dinner were nice touch. Kitchen was a touch small (Got very crowded during breakfast) and they only had one of their fridges working which was a bit of a hassle. Would stay there again!
L. E.
This centrally located hostel has everything a backpacker heart desires: Clean, spacious rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, unlimited wifi (even in the room!), a cozy common area and amazing staff! Remco was an absolute legend! Also, who doesn't like a free dinner or pancake breakfast?! Basically, Nomads in Wellington is the perfect hostel for all budget travellers that are looking for meeting some amazing people!
T. G.
Great central location. Everything is an easy walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good hub to meet people and get into fun things to do. The room was tidy and served it's purpose. Would have gotten 5 stars if the sheets didn't have stains all over them. They were clean, but needed a bleach....bad. Gross. Free tea, coffee, breakfast, and light dinner a big bonus.
J. S.
Wonderful place! Obviously a dorm room is always just as good as you and the other people in there behave, but when it comes to Nomads, they're doing a great job. Friendly stuff, wonderful location, free breakfast and dinner at the bar next door, and the hostel was in an overall good condition!
A. A.
This is a great place! The staff were very nice and answered all our questions. The location is great, very near cuba street, and not far from a lot of shops, parliament and the waterfront. It's kept clean and safe and very well run. They have a bar next door that has a fireplace which was one of my favorite things as it gets colder at night.
B. S.
Good hostel with free dinner/snack between 17:30-18:30 (nachos when I was there) and free pancake batter to cook your own pancakes between 7-9am.
However the rooms got really hot and were quite cramped plus you have to pay for wifi.
K. M. F.
Really comfortable, affordable and convenient location to stay in the city. There were a few problems dishing up breakfast to all 65 in our group (probably needed to check there were at least 65 breakfast bowls before were agreed to this) but on the whole it was a good experience which we would repeat. Cheers.
J. F.
I stayed in room 102, it was noisy in the night and early morning, like the doors and walls are always closing and opening from the upper floor. Couldn't really sleep well but for the price, it is decent i would say.
S.
For the price charged vs quality offered Nomads has surpassed my expectations. It is by far the best backpackers accommodation i came across in New Zealand and one of the few hostels which has a no smoke policy inside the hostel which is commendable . .It is family friendly, hygienic and located in the heart of the city which makes it very convenient. I will definitely be staying there during my next trip and I recommend it highly to all my friends and family .
A.
Room was cool even with heater turned on you need to leave it on for the entire night. Very noisy
s. a.
Good location, great staff, good facilities, nice building, great lounge area with big tv, nice seats at reception, free coffee/ tea, very clean, good beds/ mattresses.
Big hostel, but secure with use of keycards.
Only downside; couple of days a week noise till late from Blend Bar next door.
But good deals with Blend bar too.
One of the best/ most homely hostels I have stayed at!
N.
Large rooms, thin matresses (still comfy though), no free WiFi at all! Paid WiFi only at the reception, nice staff, kitchen is big but not as clean as I expected it to. It's central and close to a good bar!
O. W.
Has what you need in a hostel, clean bunks up to 4 beds in a room with shower and toilet in the room, shared kichenette and laundry, wifi (a bit slow). Close to all the major attractions and centrally located. Free pancakes for breakfast.
B. G.
I was in town on business and just needed a bed and a shower in a clean room with it's own ensuite. As far as value for money is concerned Nomads was perfect for my needs. No hassle check-in (no credit card holds needed just pay the rate and get on), friendly staff, clean room. Bonus is a TV and an unexpected bonus was a free snack meal in the bar which in fact was a very generous slice of nice Lasagna with a fresh side salad. $5 beer topped it off.
So businessmen after a cheap stay should not think Nomads is just for the backpacker. The self-contained rooms they have are as good as most basic hotel rooms and the location is very central.
L. S.
We were perhaps the oldest ones there. We're in our 70's and felt like we were staying in a campus dorm, but I guess that is the backpacking experience. Nomads is in an excellent location for seeing the sites of Wellington, which is what enticed us to this spot. The room en-suite was clean, but very tiny and warm. The free evening meal was one scoop of hotdish on a plate.
S. N.
The location was great, the staff is really helpful especially 'Wilson'. However the bed creak and some part of the floor creak like old haunted mansion. The WiFi is not free either. But on the high note free pancakes breakfast and light supper / dinner. Nothing can beat that, so it could be a 5 stars if the bed didn't creak
R.
Nice clean hostel. Most of the hostelrooms have their own bathroom and toilet (which is really nice). You get a free (small) meal every evening and you can make free pancakes in the morning. They also offer free thee, coffee and milk.
D. F.
Really good hostel! A bit crowed during breakfast and I feel guests (backpackers) should take care more of the common areas, everyone should coopearte, keep clean and tidy for the rest.
Rooms in the 3 floor need a better ventilation.
The rest, all good!
H.
A nice spot in the cbd. I walked in, and within 10 mins was sorted in a shared room. Friendly staff, comfy beds and yummy pancakes from 7-9am most mornings. The Theatre and an isite across the road, museums, cafes shopping are not far away. Will very happily stay here again.
L. P.
Not too bad, customer service was very good they were polite and helpful and the room was just fine, linen was clean and beds were fine. I only have one suggestion though, and that would be for the cleaners to use bleach when cleaning the bathroom and toilet etc, it helps get rid of mould aswell in the seals and whitens.
C. W.
Good hostel! Excellent location, free breakfast and dinner entree next door, spacious rooms. Not all kitchen equipment was in tip top condition, but otherwise I really can't complain about anything
S. o.
Everyone was really friendly, the rooms nice and clean, the location is fantastic. The selfmade pancake- breakfast is real fun. The luggage-storage might be a bit to small and sometimes it´s a bit noisy even with the windows closed. But if I ever return to Wellington, I´d really like to stay at Nomads again.
A. S.
Friendly staff, good facilities and great value for money- plus the make-your-own pancakes in the morning was a great way to interact with the other guests! Handy central location made getting around the city a breeze. The one minor niggle would be that, in order to get electricity in your room you have to put your key-card into a slot, and ours didn't really work properly so it was a bit of a struggle trying to get our phones to charge- but the staff were happy to help us out with this. All-in-all a wonderful experience- would definitely recommend and I hope to go back to Nomads again!
T. T.
Very helpful reception. Comfortable beds although very squeaky. Ear plugs a must as we hardly got a wink of sleep the first night due to bar music, drunk people screaming outside all night and in the stairwell. Shower room kept flooding as shower curtain not big enough and the water did not drain to the hole
H.
mixed feelings about my stay.
room was quite clean, but beds were really shaky and noisy. the matress wasnt to comfortable either. staff was friendly and helpful and the offering of free pancakes and free (snack-sized) dinner (can be upgraded for 2 $) were really nice.
But offering free food on the one hand and charging 4 $ for 24h wifi on the other is just beyond my comprehension. its almost 2015...everywhere i went this year (southeast asia, central america) wifi was complimentary and there is also free wifi in the cbd of wellington. i see that other hostels in the city charge the same amount of money, but why not be the first to actually step into the 21 century?
so thats two stars i take off of the 5/5 for the shaky/noise beds and the wifi.
A. V.
Very good hostel, great location, good vibes, kitchen cleaned every 2 hours so very very clean, great tv room and smoking area in the back. The only problem was the terrible matresses and the swinging bankbeds. I would recommend you to fix them to the walls so you don't wake up everytime your top/bottom neighbour moves. I did it in my own hostel in Costa Rica, it works. Other than that, it's a great place to stay!
M. B.
Very clean and tidy. Budget accomadation. In the cbd close to many locations. Kitchen is clean. Bathrooms are neat. Beds are cozy. They have pancakes for breakfast and free wifi. Everythings great. Except thatthere are too few bathrooms for too many people. And too small a kitchen. Still its a nice place to stay.
H. B.
Loved our stay. Great location, lovely staff, clean and well maintained. Having our evening meal provided was a great plus. It was noisy having the pub next door, but you can't have everything. Would definitely stay again
A. R.
Great place to stay. Location fantastic, staff great. Rooms are clean.
Problem with website when booking, ended up booking twice - one phone call, all sorted.
Booked twin room, on arrival discovered we had been allocated a double - changed immediately.
All down to people looking after people.
J.
The place is fine, but expensive, and have not parking, the kitchen need more frets, and its very small for all the guests. All the bathrooms get flood. The only good thing is the free dinner with a voucher in the nextdoor restaurant.👌🏽
J. Z.
We stayed two nights in a double room at Nomads Capital. The hostel is very clean and direclty in the heart of the city. Perfect location. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and always smily. The room was perfect. I haven't slept in such a comfy double bed for ages and was very impressed with the quality of the mattress! The double room also had a TV and ensuite bathroom. There is a bar next door for those who fancy a cheeky bevvie, and the bar is pumping in the evenings! All in all I can say that the hostel was great value for our money. No doubt I will stay at Nomads Capital again when I next visit Welly. Absolutely loved it!
T.
The Nomads Capital Hostel is a fine hostel with a excellent location. The room was fine and although it was on 2nd floor it suffered from noise from the street in the evening. We stayed in a 10 bed dorm and the rooms were clean. Perfect for a quick stopover.
T.
Had a great time here. Staff are super kind and the hostel was clean.
Free Pancakes in the morning as well as a free evening meal at Blend next door!
A. Y.
Our stay was pretty good and enjoyed the free dinners. However the customer service was terrible and the most unprofessional I have ever come across. Our room keys stopped working multiple times and the receptionist just argued with us saying we were wrong? after having to actually go to the room and show him they did not work he offered us a free upgrade for our dinner. When we went to get our dinner they said we were unable to get the upgrade because the receptionist aren't allowed to do that? No apologies or anything.. Never experienced anything so rude before, especially with receptionists whos job is to help you!
F. C.
I slept in a 4 bedroom, it was nice and clean. Make sure you bring your own toppings for the breakfast pancake, and allow plenty of time to cook as there's only one working fire cooking stove for such a huge kitchen (hot plate does not work unless you cook a pancake for an hour).
J.
Nice comfortable hostel. First night was amazing 6 bed dorm with ensuite and 2 pillows. had stray discount so was only $28 a night tried to extend stay was $38 dollars a night most i've ever paid for a 6 bed dorm.Plus i had to change rooms (which meant checking out storing all my stuff and not being able to check back in till 2) to a standard 6 bed as the ensuite room was booked out. Extremely over priced! They do chuck in pancakes and i got a free meal my first night but still not worth $38!!!
Kitchen was very small and no toastie press/ sandwich maker which is surely every backpackers second choice after noodles. lol.
Have learnt my lesson and will book in advance through some of the cheaper websites!
D. “. C.
Stayed for the one night as on the move but the place is CLEAN, organized and built for hostel backpackers with everything in mind. As a hostel backpacker with a budget in mind, i thought the place was expensive. Almost double the cost of anywhere else i stayed on my trip. But it was central, convenient and close to the ferry for the downward route South.
Y. M. G.
Friendly reception service upon arrival. Beds were really rackety - I got stuck with a very loud snorer in the bottom bunk and my whole bed shook so I couldn't sleep all night. Breakfast not ready from 7am as advertised and it was very poor - just self-cooked pancakes that tasted like cardboard. Missing cutlery, no signage where utensils could be found and little staff assistance. If advertised as free breakfast, it needs to be taken up several notches and to include more things. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again, even though the staff at reception were lovely.
D. G.
Great central location, right beside Cuba Street (which is now my favorite street in Wellington!), near the Sunday market, supermarket, harbour, Te Papa...you name it! The hostel itself was very clean (rooms/bathrooms were the nicest I'd seen in a while) Beds squeak a bit, but in the grand scheme of things, just a minor annoyance. Staff was really friendly too.
T.
Nomads is a nice hostel in a really good location in the city. The staff were great. My only concern for here is that the resident staff took up the living space and there was little to no room for guests which I thought was very selfish but this happens in hostels a lot.
J. v. S.
Positives:
Good location downtown, friendly staff, clean proper toilets and showers, free pancakes in the morning and pastry in the evening, clean roomy dorms, beautiful old staircase, electronic locks on multiple doors to prevent people from coming in that don't belong there.
Negatives:
No alcohol allowed, paid Wi-Fi, mattresses not very comfortable, no shelve and hooks next to the sinks.
M. C.
Really nice facility, kind staff, perfect location.
I'm gonna stay there if I'm back to Wellington again.
However, free wifi service seems to introduced 'cause most hotels and hostels are doing that. Except this, perfect staying will be provided to its users.
Y. H.
Nice hostel!
Provide bteakfast everyday (pancake or ceareal)
Can drink milk at any time as you want
Even include dinner (vege/meat pie or spaghetti) +$3 for farm salads/ chips!
M. J.
We stayed 2 nights at the Nomads in a 4 bed dorm. The room was nice and the hostel is quiet. If you are looking for some action just go to the Blend! I would recommend you the arancini salad which is amazing :) And the pancakes in the morning are delicious.
E. K.
Great hostel -easy central location, the reception staff are friendly & efficient, rooms clean & tidy and lovely showers.
The free pancakes are a nice touch
Have stayed here before when a cheap bed was required and will surely do so again
X. X.
Terribly noisy Doors, beds and their frame. Beds also uncomfortable. Rooms and the whole Level very smelly because No airflow. Bathrooms ok Clean. Nice Stuff. Free breakfast amd free Dinner is Ok.
A. D.
Always fun but now weather is colder the private rooms are cold - please an extra blanket in room would help. Still asking for private rooms to have a "do not disturb sign" and a toilet brush.
There are not a lot of these rooms, so surely not too much trouble to arrange!
Valerie LIssette
N.
Really helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms and great prices. Loved the free pancake breakfast on offer, and the voucher to eat dinner for free at the bar next door. A fantastic, affordable accommodation option in Wellington which we will be sure to revisit anytime we are in town. Thanks Nomads!
E.
Pros: Great location, free breakfast and dinner, the front desk workers are friendly and accommodating, and they keep it clean.
Cons: The bunk beds in the dorm rooms are rickety, squeaky, and move when your bunkmate rolls over in their sleep. Also, wifi costs $4/24 hours.
K. S.
Staff were very accommodating, beds were comfy and the free food was great, especially for backpackers on a budget. Would highly recommend as it is in the heart of the city.
H. v. d. H.
Staying Nomads Capital was good, staff were friendly and helpful. The room pleasant to stay in, the matress was rather thin on the bottom bunks. Might need to be upgraded sometime soon, but was quiet even when staying on a Saturday night, no disruptions from other Hostellers. Enjoyed the 1 night being there in the capital!
M.
A great place to stay. I have been in Wellington, NZ, for almost 3 months. I have stayed at various hostels and THIS ONE RULES. The reception people were stellar, the beds were great, and the location is awesome.
E.
Sheets and blankets have suspicious white sticky stains. Rubbish under the bed. Clogged sink and shower in the bathroom. Really friendly staff tho.
R.
We stayed here as part of our stray journey package and it was easily the nicest hostel we had been to so far! Our twin room was clean, with a nice ensuite and fresh towels!
T.
I was unsure about staying at a hostel having had previous bad experiences. The room had a miniature floor heater attached to the wall providing no warmth. I had to wait for over an hour to get a room because we had to wait for the Stray driver to call.
A.
Compared with hostel I have been in NZ—I must say this is the best with great facilities, location, and also price.
I would love to come back!
Y.
The location and the staff were the saving grace - both fab. Unfortunately the place itself is a tad rundown. The dorm I stayed in had no ventilation (unless you count the fan, which apart from making noise didn't do much) meaning you were attempting to sleep in a stinky Sahara. The beds were extremely creaky and you have to pay for wifi.
M. T.
It's great, clean and people are very kind. There is no internet in the rooms unless you pay for it. The beds are not in good condition, and the matress are too flat
D. v. L.
Looking for a reasonably affordable backpackers in downtown Wellington, Nomads is the place to go. The place is clean and does what it promises, staff is helpful too and they offer free meal vouchers on arrival.
I personally missed a bit of coziness that you do find at some other backpackers, the place can look a bit sterile. But since you're literally surrounded by tons of nice bars and restaurants you're sure to have a good time in Wellington!
L. I.
Pretty good hostel. Staff are great its clean and has everything you need. The only negative i could give is the rooms get quite stuffy as only one small window.
T.
Rooms are clean and big enough. The free meal is good and the pancakes in the morning to. Wifi is not free and even when bought not soo good. That's why only 4/5
N.
Perfect for backpackers on a budget because you get a free dinner at the bar next door every day!
Brilliant location right next to Cuba Street and 5 minutes from the Te Papa Museum.
T.
Door and beds were very noisy and it made it hard to sleep at night. Kitchen, showers and other amenities was alright. Free pancakes in the morning made it better.
A.
Goid location. Rude staff. Won't book here again. Reason for 3 stars as was clean, comfortable and value for money. Young people would like this place. 30+? Book a normal hotel.
B. T.
Exactly what our stay required. A good bed and en-suite. Very handy location-wise and informative and supportive staff. Free pancakes in the morning was a nice wee bonus also.
A. E.
Lovely staff, awesome free food (the evening dinners are good home cooked food and a good size!) and the facilities are modern and clean.
I would definitely stay here again if I was needing somewhere to stay in Wellington and would highly recommend it to others!
C. M. (.
Fantastic backpacker... First time with Nomads Capital and we totally recommend.
The only point that can be improved is the early check in, special if the room is already available. Make a lot of difference and will help people to have a great time and experience. Over all A+. Cheers.
E.
Good points- free evening meal, good location, friendly staff
Bad points- creakiest beds of all time, they charge you for wi-fi in your bedrooms, bedrooms need your room card to be put in the wall for electricity to work (what is the point of that), bedroom doors slam uncontrollably everytime someone leaves
S.
Good location. Friendly staff but facilities are pretty basic - even for a backpackers.
J. R.
Awesome. The best staff, great rooms and beds, The Blend Bar next door where you get your complementary evening meal is great too.
Will reccommend to anyone who asks about accom in Wellington, and even those who don't.
M. J.
Hello, we stayed here wit a large group and have enjoyed our time very much.
Central location, clean and modern facilities, free breakfast (thanks so much) and helpful staff. What more could you ask for?
Will book again.
Cheers
T.
Very cosy hostel, lots of long termers come here. The staff were a huge help, Lissita especially played a huge part in me securing work with my agency
V. P.
Always great staying. Great vibe through the place and friendly efficient staff.
Proximity to places to go is perfect. Clean accommodation.
Rules are good and fair.
No complaints great place to stay.
C.
Clean and very good located. Nice staff, free pancakes mornings. Only problem: bad windows insolation, this is why I have removed 1 star
D. L.
Good location and very smart modern rooms. However, the kitchen area is very small and a little under equipped. Staff all seemed friendly and willing to help
L. S.
Staff: 10 ( always ready to give some informations about city!)
Cleaning: 10 ( every day there s a cleaning up by someone of the staff and the room, bathroom are very clean!!)
Position: 10 ( situated in the centre across Lower Cuba Street,u can go EVERYWHERE u want!!! only by walking...fantastic!!)
Free breakfast with pancake and free dinner at the bar attached to hostel! Very recommended for backpackers and other people who lives her ein Wellington ;)
T.
Excellent service very tidy place really friendly staff. The room was awesome just what was needed after a very busy day
B.
This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Super clean, in the middle of the city and is right next to a bar. I highly recommend this place!
J.
Good customer service!
You must to pay for use the hostel towels.
A. S.
Great location for city dwellers.
Neat and tidy room, clean bathroom and well lit.
very courteous and "know their job" staff members.
Loved it, i can even go their with my family.
R. B.
Basic hostel at reasonable prices. Has an excellent bar attached although the food is something to be desired. All and all I would deffinately stay there again.
M. F. S.
The rooms that have their own bathroom are pretty good.
Location is of course excellent
This looks like a hotel which is converted to a hostel.
No Wifi
J.
Friendly helpful staff I had a problem with WiFi the staff helped me sort it out asap big ups guys keep up the good work also they reserved me a bottom bunk in the dorm which was very helpful as I walk with crutches 🤠the hostel is in a good central location too they also provide breakfast in the morning and an evening meal that is redeemable via a voucher They can also book some activities at reception
T.
My daughter and I stayed at Wakefeilds St "Nomads -3rd 6th October 2016."we were in Wellington to see the" WoW Wearable Arts show" to celebrate my 77th birthday--
Our dbl - sb room with unsuite was great --just what we needed..It was warm, clean fresh, private, soft comfortable beds.--"afforable" ! Staff friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed all the young people from all over the world ,It didnt matter that I was an "oldy" we liked the central location - we walked everywhere !! I think Wellington is our best city in NZ, vibrant and alive , with a lot of" beautiful well dressed people" walking, biking, -no sign of obese or hoody people--.City well planned, especially the wharf area. access to transport easy to find.
I even had a paddle in Oreinetal Bay !!.
Thanks for a great week and accomadation.
S.
The service here was fantastic. Such lovely receptionists and a chill, friendly environment. Great place to stay on a budget, highly recommend!
M.
Great location. We stayed in the double room and it was clean, light and airy. Extra star for the free breakfast pancakes!
K.
Had a great stay. Comfy beds, clean room and hostel. Great free dinner. great location. Would definitely stay here again.
C.
Tipical urban hostel. Large and definitively not peculiar. Lounge and kitchen are not big enough for the capacity. Thumbs up for free pancake and free dinner.
A.
Remco at the reception was one dude who can cheer you up anytime. Remco mingles with his clients very well, carries excellent customer service skills and energy. Remco is surely an asset to your business and I highly recommend you give him a raise and box of beersies :-) Remco - you are the champ front desk dude! Keep doing what you are doing. I'll recommend Nomads Capital Backpackers on other sites on the internet as well now (ofcourse because of your customer service) :-D
T.
Within walking distance to all the city attractions such as Te Papa museum which was about 10mins walk from here. I was only there for a night and flew out the next morning but it is close to the Te Papa museum which was great. A big plus for us.
A.
Clean very basic staff were helpful
B.
My 10 person dorm on the 2nd level was super hot at night so it was hard to sleep. Free small meal at night was good and bar next door had cheap drinks
W. W.
Good. The showers are better than xbase but the rooms did not have lockers available under the beds. Quite clean and staff were friendly.
C. K.
Not allowed alcohol at all which is completely fair. However, we were drinking in our room and they barged in, without checking to see if we were decent, and confiscated the alcohol as if we were children at a summer camp. Unprofessional
S.
The location is perfect and with free breakfast and dinner, it's value for money. The cleaning is a bit basic and the nighttime noise is horrendous
A.
I have stayed at Nomads Backpackers before, and I would definitely stay again. Their staff are friendly and aim to help you in any way they can; it is a warm and friendly environment, and their facilities are great!
M. M.
Nice place to stay. Vibrant and full of travellers to exchange infos. Free pancake at morning and free dinner at evening. Wifi very slow
S.
I truly love this place in the heart of Wellington! I got a fairly priced bed and found myself well cared for by a beautiful staff. Very nice compulsory services!
C.
Totally reasonable accommodation when travelling on a budget. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly helpful.
L.
Friendly staff, free food, room was clean and warm. The only thing remotely negative was the squeaky bunks! Would happily stay there again.
S.
Had a great stay and my son who has turned ten on Saturday was very happy and liked staying there better than Auckland it was a very friendly place and the staff were great thanks heaps i would love to come and stay again , my daughter is ten in a year then its on for another adventure to Wellington Nomads .
K.
Great little back packers with private rooms.
Excellent value for money and right in the city centre
M.
Good hostel. Nothing spectacular, but honestly nothing to complain about. I stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Love Wellington :)
R.
I sleep standing up, unfortunately the staff were unable to accommodate this request and I slept on a bed instead. Fantastic toilet facilities
J. S.
Almost perfect. The manager Sasha wasn't very nice on multiple occassions, but this hostel in a great spot and offers alot of value for the money.
N.
What a great place to stay, one meets like minded people from all round the world. Clean, friendly, central to everything .Highly recommend to our friends .Will stay again open 24 hours.
A.
Staff is amazing. Seriously the guys are very friendly and they are in a very good mood to help.
I stayed only 2 nights but it was very good.
Thanks!
b. w.
fantastic friendly place to stay, clean comfy room, easy acess to everything, awesum pancakes for brekky, just a wonderful place all round, staff go over the top to help in every way , so so friendly, safe and secure, well done to all, we will be back
M. I.
Super friendly and understanding staff. Clean and warm rooms. Best hostel experience I've had
J.
Nice place with friendly staff. Only problem was the room I was in which had this annoying noise coming from around the light fixture. Other than that no problems at all.
S.
Stayed here twice. In the private room with ensuite. Never disappoints.
G.
love the food they offer, the room at night is quite hot but the staff is great, also met some awesome ppl there.
J.
Great little hostel, really good vibes, everything was really clean and the free meals were very much appreciated! :D Thanks for the good times!
P.
The hostel is ok, some of the facilities weren't working. Alcohol isn't permitted
E.
The hostel is nice and looks clean, but the beds are horrible and there is a lot of noise.
T.
Great location, clean and fresh rooms and facilities. Loved that it is alcohol free. Good service from staff.
A.
I dont like big urban areas, but the service and customer service are awesome. I prefer the cozyness of NZ small towns hostels.
M.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable beds/linen etc. Only negative was that it was rather hot in the 10-bed dorm as there was only one window that could be opened thus fresh air was at a premium...
L. C. H.
We stayed in a double room with ensuite. Why would you pay twice as much for a hotel room when Nomads Capital has the same facilities. (actually more)
J.
Good place. Would be better if there are more number of toilets and bit more cleaner.
R. I.
Great prices, tidy rooms (bring your own internet unless you're the social type and want to hang out in the reception area). Central to most places.
M.
It's not flashy and gaudy, but it's clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and super helpful.
H.
LOL Fantastic, except we are 40+ years older than the average backpackers that stay here. Still it's feels great to be among the youngsters.
C.
Great hostel - friendly staff, great location, good value, free pancakes in the morning, nice little bar next door with pool and beer pong...
S.
Very clean rooms, clean amenities, ensuite was clean. Beds were the letdown, very squeaky and uncomfortable. Rooms were noisy.
L.
Nice rooms with a good level of cleaning, but really useless kitchen.
M.
Cosy cheap comes with a free meal every night and great location
K.
Close proximity to CBD facilities is fantastic. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Great staff.
J.
Great location, very clean. Well worth it. This is the third time that I have stayed here.
J.
Wi-Fi not free ($12 a week) bad internet.
No alcool, smoke and other things not legal in the backpack. Not the best one.
C.
Great facilities and very organised establishment. There just needs to be some form of venting on the floors as it was very hot in February.
R.
Great place for accommodation close to all your shopping needs good Staff
k.
really good experience, very well run hostel, would definately look at booking in for future in other towns!
L. D.
Was only there one night but it had really nice people and staff. Included breakfast and dinner so I was stoked 😊
R.
A little noisy at night in the front rooms but facilities all clean and staff very helpful.
D.
As far as backpackers hostels go, Nomad's is the best I have experienced.
Would certainly stay there again.
T.
Good place to stay, it has a good location. Remember you can get free dinner if you ask them
M.
Great staff, clean and comfortable room and good services. I'd definitely stay here again!
M.
For a backpackers hostel I thought it was pretty mean, especially the swipe card!! I would stay again. Thanks Nomads!
A.
Nice place to stay. Near the city centre and the staff are friendly and helpful.
O.
Everything is almost perfect but really not enough fresh air in the room. Would be good to have some ventilation.
S.
Free breakfast and dinner was awesome! Fun people and atmosphere! Could be cleaner though....
J.
Both bathrooms out of order on our floor, apart from that algood
C.
Called reception, Lawrence answered, terrible attitude, simply asked me, do you want a room, I said no, the said bye
M. Z.
Absolutely loved it! Comfy beds, great service, and in a great location. So glad I chose Nomads!
A.

Not at all bad for a city hostel. Central and basically clean and tidy.
E.
Cedric is an exceptional FOH person nothing phases him and people are dealt with dignity
M.
Free Pancake dough every day. Many young people, good rooms.
A.
Busy but quirky, middle of the city hostel accomodation. BEWARE - no parking available.
B.
Receptionist offered to help carry my things to my room :)

Great value hostel - i stayed in a 4 bed for a weekend - staff were friendly - free pancakes were a great idea - the kitchen is a little small - the connected bar and free dinner was a great deal and quite edible. Its not deeply characterful but it was a safe cheap clean comfortable place to stay - i'd come again

(Translated) I stayed in a double room for 2 nights ($ 204). (Own) bathroom was clean and well mannered. There were 2 towels (smelled horrible, despite being washed) and hand soap, as well as bathroom rugs. The bed was a little too soft for me. The room was way too cold due to the leaking windows. Even a fan heater on the wall didn't help much. Leaving it running all night wasn't an option. In the room itself was a minibar (tea, instant coffee, kettle, sugar, teaspoon), which I thought was great.
The accommodation has a courtyard to "chill out", which somehow does not invite you to this (4 walls, 20 meters high, cold, about 21 square meters, no sun)
Internet was only available in the foyer (otherwise $ 4 / d or $ 12 / week). Which made sure that this area, like a dovecote, was always full.
There was free coffee / tea / milk in the foyer. The communal kitchen looked reasonably clean.
The property advertised free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast today consisted of pancakes, which was okay. Tonight there was rice with vegetables. The "Meat" variant consisted of the fact that the said food contained pieces of fat from a pork rind. The $ 3 upgrade with salad or optionally fries didn't add to the point either.
Finally, it should be said that the location is of course top notch (I don't just want to complain)
All in all: okay
(Original)
Alles in allem: in Ordnung

(Translated) In this hostel, you can positively highlight the continuously manned reception, free pancake dough to prepare yourself every morning from 7-9, as well as a voucher for a small dinner (pie) in the adjacent bar every evening.
Free black tea and coffee are available around the clock.
I couldn't complain about the lack of cleanliness.
I found it negative that there are no bowls and hardly any small spoons in the kitchen. The refrigerator usually offers enough space, but should be replaced because it does not close properly.
There are hardly any common rooms worth mentioning and alcohol is not allowed. All alcohol is consumed without warning.
The fan in the room, which gives off an unspeakable squeak, is also very annoying. Unfortunately, this is necessary in continuous operation as it is quite warm in the room (3rd floor).
In other rooms it should be relatively cold, as they are in a different part of the building.
All in all an average hostel, but after just one day I looked for another alternative ..
(Original)

(Translated) Extra staff: front desk clerks, pancake clerk and maintenance staff. If there is a slight lack, it is at the level of the room where we store our luggage: it is much too small. Other than that, everything is perfect. I highly recommend this place.

(Translated) Hostel located in the center. Therefore everything is easy to reach. Had a double room with my best friend. Room was ok, unfortunately despite heating too cold. Hostel in my eyes rather thought for party-happy audience;)

(Translated) The beds are good, pancakes in the morning is good, but the rooms (dormitories) are small and it lacks space to put his bags and his things, it would be necessary to add shelves or drawers under the beds ... Too bad also that the internet is paying. Dinner includes is ridiculously tiny.
(Original)

(Translated) The hostel is very good, there is a good atmosphere so I highly recommend it because you make friends easily, but I do not get 5 stars because the hygiene seems a little deficient, I went up the stairs and a cockroach fell on me

(Translated) Quite a pleasant hostel, certainly recommendable. But..
During our stay we got a quadruple room for the same price instead of a ten-bed room (which is nice, but I don't know if it can happen the other way around). The beds are too soft, I have hair on my pillow (apparently not replaced), toilet paper was missing in the toilet. Wifi costs $ 4 a day and $ 12 a week, it's very slow. A voucher dinner to the next bar was fine, but only on condition that you buy a beer for $ 5. Which I think is fine.
(Original)
