I.Very helpful friendly staff at Info office. Great recommendation & assistance with accommodation in Gisborne prior to travelling here. Love Ocean beach Lodge as recommended. Another friendly clean and welcoming place. Highly recommend to anyone. Close to town.
F.The staff could not do enough to help my friend and I sort out some great excursions for our short Whakatane stay. They were knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure excursions were booked for us at short notice. It is a MUST visit for anybody visiting Whakatane.
J.Such friendly and helpful staff!! As a group of mates travelling around the area, it was so helpful to check in at the isite and charge our phones. Very useful information for camping around the area and good spots to check out

I was looking for accommodation outside of Whakatane and the staff called different districts to find appropriate places to fit my needs. They're super friendly and easy to approach! 5+ stars for their excellent customer service! Always a pleasure!
S.After bad weather caused our boat trip to be called off, we headed to the isite for some other ideas. The staff member there, Moses, was amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, full of ideas and really solid local advice. Turned an unlucky start to our trip here into a great day. Thanks Moses!

S.(We went during a very quiet time, and so we had no competition for the staff's attention.) The staff were extremely helpful and kmowledgeable, providing advice & guidance regarding tourist spots and directions, even annotating a map for us. Many leaflets and booklets are available for free, several of which we took away with us ... only to discover the information contained therein was often too vague to be useful. 🙁

M.Nice information center, has all the maps and activities of the north and south island. Also has tours of the white island, and 2 hours of free unlimited wifi. Wifi is better than most places in-between Auckland and whakatane
