My boyfriend and I came to camp here for 5 nights on a non powered site. We were checking in late and fully accommodated for, it was so easy for us to be able to come in when we were able to after driving down from Auckland after work. The campground itself is huge and has everything you could need - coffees, smoothies and toasted sandwiches in the morning, and a bar with pizzas and burgers for dinner. Amazing location also right on the beach! We were sort of towards the further end of the campground from the beach but it was still about a minute or so walk, and the outdoor showers were incredibly handy! They also had a hot tub with such a beautiful view over the beach which we thought was really cool too. After our third night, it had been raining pretty consistently and our tent was starting to get a little wet and cold on the inside, so with two nights left we asked at the office if there was any possibility we would be able to upgrade to a little room or cabin just for the next two nights. The staff were incredibly kind and empathetic and did everything they could to get us into a warm, dry room for no extra charge at all! Every staff member we spoke to was lovely and friendly, and we felt so welcome and looked after. Thank you to the team at Hahei Beach Resort for such an amazing holiday! Will most definitely be returning as soon as we can

Great all round we paid $27.59 per person a night for a powered site at the back of the grounds. 1min walk to beach and so quiet. Pet friendly out of season. Facilities top notch. Staff fabulous.

Location is 6 star due to beautiful beach and nearby cathedral cove. Great Cafe facility at resort. Was quite a walk to one shower block so I used my RV facilities. The beach view spots would be worth the price.

Our second time camping here and quickly becoming a fave summer spot for us. Friendly and quick check in and tidy clean facilities. Beach is beautiful 😍 the new area with the wood fired pizzas and burgers is v cool and buzzing while we were there!

Lovely quiet visit (because Auckland was still locked in). Great beach and close to hot water beach too. We kayaked to Cathedral cove and relaxed with friends.

Probably one of the best campground locations in the world, having Hahei beach on the doorstep is simply magical! Great casual food and bar on site which makes for such a cool atmosphere. The staff are lovely and make a top notch coffee too. Thanks team!

The coffee was great & the little blue caravan was selling outstanding smoothies & healthy toasties etc would go back just for that experience. The cost of my purchases was very reasonable 😊😋😘

Love the place. Never get tired of the view. Always get up early to see and say hello to the sun. Lovely to watch the sunrise with your loved ones ❤ get grounded, and a bit of exercise. Lots of accommodation to choose from that suits everyone's preference and budget. You get to listen to the birds chirping 🐦 especially early morning. Just 😍 I'm a nature lover.

Really pleasant hosts & we're easy to contact to arrange after hours check in/out. Very clean and organised facilities. Read the host's guidelines for guests, especially around any safety precautions for looking after your belongings and family on site. Beaches are open public spaces so going to this lovely rural location doesn't mean you should suddenly relax safety commonsense habits and expectations. I was warned not to leave my label gear laying around outside to get knicked so can only blame myself when it was. Coffee exceeded hopes. Great spot for families. We don't usually return to the same places but continuing to make an exception here.

Went in November for a work trip when Auckland was in lock down, so Hahei was extremely quiet. Didn't stay in the campground, but went everyday for fresh coffee and a blether with the staff who were friendly and helpful about the area. Had a look around the campground and defo would consider staying there in future as looks amazing and on a beautiful site right by the beach. The weather was stunning. Special shout out and thankyou to the wonderful Makuini. My Husky fell in love at first sight with Makuini who offered to dog sit on her day off while I went Kayaking. Thankyou so much couldn't have gone otherwise. Makuini you have such a beautiful connection to animals, must be your lovely spirit! Wish we could clone you... snaaaw

I spent three nights at the camp, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially at reception. The location is fantastic, amenities are very clean. I love the illuminated( at night) big tree at the park entrance. There's even a 'covered' washing line which is fantastic for those winter days with showers.... I would definitely recommend this place.

First time there....nice place. Friendly staff....though a little noisy after 10.30pm as they were hanging out by the playground. Very helpful with power cable extension to charge our electric vehicle. Only negative is the WiFi sucked, shower head could be better if adjustable.

We spent 3 days here in a campervan on a powered site. The weather was awesome, but l don't think they were responsible for that. This was part of a 3 week road trip around the mid North Island and this would be the best campground we visited. The grounds are extensive, spacious and easy to navigate. The facilities were good, the staff really friendly and everything tidy and we'll maintained. There is also a nice coffee bar on site, popular with the locals. Hahei beach is right next to the campground and a great place for a walk. It's about a 20 min walk away from the Cathedral Cove walkway start point.

Friendly, helpful staff and fantastic location. Central to lots of interesting places, including the quick ferry across to Whitianga from Flaxmill Bay.

I just love this place! There's something healing about Hahei and the campsite is so beautiful! It's right next to the beach and the people are super nice and helpful! I highly recommend you to come here and experience it yourself! :)

What a spot! best place to be to see Cathedral cove, Cooks Beach, catch the ferry or hot water beach. Hahei is well equipped yet has a quaint NZ holiday vibe still. We camped (tent site) at the Hahei Resort and facilities were excellent. Well laid out campsite to suit all levels from units to tents. Awesome bar open end of day/ dusk for families and great burgers. What a treat to go camping and have a hot shower, bar and burger joint on site. We walked the beach at night, body surfed the easy waves, lolled on the beach, and of course did the Cathedral Cove trip. And we enjoyed the village services - icecreams, dairy, cafe, bars and shops. A perfect location for a family holiday. Would love to see something added for the mid kid age range as caters well to the very young and teenagers are taken care of by the beach. Maybe a bouncy pad or table tennis? Thanks for our stay, came back mentally and physically refreshed. Will be back for sure.

The best campsite so far! Very clean toilets and shower. Lots of trees around the camp so it is not very hot as one would expect camping by the beach. Vast array of campsites and other accommodation options. White sandy beach, thundering waves, a bar and a burger stand if you do not feel like cooking. The sun rises from a hill by the sea and makes a spectacular sight in the early mornings. Would love to come back for the beauty of it all. Not impressed with one or two staff's abrupt way of saying something but fortunately the beauty of the resort surpasses that. Maybe next time management can put up fences on areas where guests are not allowed to wander. Anyway, happy to tell family and friends to stay at the resort when headed that way.

Loved my stay here! Right from check-in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. I was early but on this occasion my room happened to be ready, so they let me in and I was able to get on with my day right away and head out to Cathedral Cove. Really good amenities at this location, of all kinds should you want to pitch a tent, plug in your campervan, or stay in a suite or larger cabin for bigger groups, all with your own amenities. Perfect location to the beach and especially to a 20-minute hike to the hilltop in Te Pare Reserve just next door. A very handy walk to the Hahei Village with some gift shops, ice creams, and a couple of quality restaurants. Also a short drive away from the Hot Water Beach which is not to he missed. Good amount of parking on site, too. Easy to get the room cool, nice showers and good linens, and my Studio had a good kitchenette. I plan to return to Hahei often, and whenever I do, it will be at this Resort.

Loved every minute of our stay at Hahei holiday resort. Friendly helpful staff that accommodated us at short notice. Fantastic and safe for kids to race around the camp around and make new friends, while the parents can relax.

Just love the place. But the caravan stands without the trees is crazy hot

First visit to Hahei, so was blown away by the beauty & location. The Resort was exceptional and highly recommend it as a place to stay. It's very well run, the staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Would say as good a place as I have enjoyed staying anywhere.

Pretty flash park, but can still get an unpowered site down the back for $17 off peak. Sun-Thurs stay three nights and only pay for two. Can't go wrong there. Hahei beach itself is stunning. Recommended

I've been coming to Hahei Holiday Resort since 2018, once a year, this place has soul and so much more, the longer I stay here the more I feel healed. I don't know what it is but everything is just amazing and well thought around here. I highly recommend Hahei Holiday Resort, one of the best places in NZ for sure!!

A very worn out place. Needs to be tidied up. Though toilets were always clean and kitchen had clean dishcloths and tea towels. A bit higgilty piggilty. Expensive per night and after staying at the Taupo Top 10 which was 5 star, this was nothing compared to Taupo and yet charged more. Washing machines were expensive at $4.00 a load. $2.00 would have been suffice for 45 min cold water wash. The best part staying here was the bea h but access was ridiculous from the camping ground. A better pathway to access the beach would have been a bonus.

Wonderful facilities. Would have got 5 stars if we had a sea view site but because we were booked in under Campsaver we were put out the back.

I've been coming here for the last 15 years with five other families and I've seen all the kids grow to young adults. There's no other place I would rather be than here. The people are friendly the place is great and then there's the beach. Stunning. If I could give more stars for this review I would give it 10 out of 10.

We stayed in the cottage. Was big enough for our party of 6(3 rooms) Would recommend for 4 adults and 4 children. Lovely beds, lots of space, easy access and parking , quick walk to the beach

We loved Hahei Resort. The amenities are well equipped (hairdryers!) and clean, the bar and food trucks a very welcome addition, and the proximity to the beach just can't be beaten. We will certainly be back. Thanks Hahei Resort team for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic facilities, take away food & bar on site, great safe family atmosphere with kids riding around on push bikes just how nz use to be. The night we stayed there was a band playing @ no extra charge great value. Close walk to hahei village

One of the last few awesome Kiwi campgrounds still on the beach! It is a pleasure to stay here and is the only campground with a gourmet burger food truck (could have eaten here every night...) and a pop-up bar! 🍻🍻 The beach is superb and also a short walk from the amazing Cathedral Cove! Plenty to do here, definitely worth a stay! 👍👍

This a gem in the coromandel Thames area. Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Literally a 1 min walk to the beach. It's a huge resort with so many facilities on hand, I think I only saw half of it. Plenty of clean toilet blocks all over the park, large kitchen, several shower blocks, there are so many different types of rooms, cottages, beach front houses, its amazing. Really one of the better campsites I've been too. The reception staff are fantastic, they are experts on the area and can provide any useful info one might need. I would highly recommend anyone to come and holiday here its only a couple of hours from Auckland!

Love this place!! Fantastic campground which is very well run with plenty of facilities all well kept and clean. You won't regret bringing the family here such a great spot.

Beautiful beach, awesome location, places to buy food and dirnks at the bar. Nice setup. The only thing every time I went for a shower I had issues with the hot water. Some some days there were no hot water even pressing the button on the outaide of the shower.

Stayed for 3 nights last week. Beachfront powered site. Stunning location. Really friendly, helpful staff. Good walking and biking from the park. Local brewery, cafes and shops. Definitely go back.

I always loved to return to this place. There is something for everyone at this place, depending on your budget. Clean , tidy and a very warm receptive staff. Short stroll to the beach, cathedral cove makes it really worth staying at this place. Facilities are good. Definitely worth staying. Only advise to the visitors to bring in food, drinks as not much varieties available to shop around. I am sure you will enjoy staying at this property.👍

We stayed here over Easter Weekend and LOVED it! Great family atmosphere, kids on bikes everywhere. The layout is great - there is a playground right next to the kitchen and the central meal area, so you can cook while your kids play. The beach is spectacular. The bathrooms were all clean. We plan to stay here again!

Its always so nice to come here for a holiday. We usually come at the end of February, and the weather is amazing that time. You can find a bar a small shop, a burger place and a smoothie place within the resort. Women: don't forget to bring your own hair drier as there was one in the bathroom before but they have removed it, don't know why though.

Nice place to stay and of course busy. 4 star coz they do not sell or rent the camping ele. Cable or adaptor. Even if I booked powered site it was for no use bcoz of the power outlet. As a fisrt time camper with tent I was not aware of available adapter RCD and I feel atleast they should have something to borrow or rent so we can inflate the bed. If you are camping here with the powered site make sure u bring the correct cable. Other than that its nice place and i would recommend staying there.

Brilliant holiday for the whole family. Grandies, Mums and Dads and Grandparents. A place for everyone, including playground and weekend Sandbar for drinkies, and fab burgers. The best cabins, showers and BBQs, clean and well serviced. And the beach...NZ best! Camping sites or campervan - dont go anywhere else, the world is your oyster beginning at Hahei Holiday Resort.

Absolutely recommend this place to stay. Great environment and facilities. At least, for Stray Travellers. We get a reserved area exclusive to Stray Travel, and it's our little own reclusive cabin from everyone else. The reception service was really good. They were very helpful to other guests in explaining what they wanted to know. Like how to get to the famous Cathedral Cove, what to look out for. Just amazing experience here in Hahei Holiday Resort. They also have a little coffee shop near the reception if you don't want to walk 10-15 mins to town.

Got a site very close to the beach and facilities. This campground is well laid out with extra toilets in addition to the main toilet and kitchen block. Cleaned regularly and staff were friendly and very helpful

Very nice location. Right next to the pristine and safe Hahei beach. Walking distance to Cathedral cove. Right next to the Kayak touring meeting point and the boat tour meeting point. On the campground, you also get various stores selling burgers, drinks and smoothies. The only downside to our stay that the noise level past 1030pm at the campsite was still rather moderate, not high but moderate enough to keep us from falling asleep if you are an early sleeper

We had the garden view room. Good sized room with everything we needed. Unfortunately for us our upstairs neighbours were heavy footed and active quite late at night. Other than that staff were great, location was fabulous. If you enjoy a challenging hike it's easily possible to walk to the cathedral cove from the resort in under an hour. Overall our stay was very good.

Loved our stay here! Such great access to the beautiful beach. Great atmosphere and a fantastic springboard to cathedral cove and hot water beach. We walked to cathedral cove from our villa, a 3.5km walk along the beach, over the dirt track to car park then sealed walkway to the cove. Made the destination much better after a good walk. (Track to car park is pretty rough and steep but well worth doing!)

This resort is located right on the absoutley stunning Hahei Beach. It's the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. The water is shockingly clear and is the perfect temperature. It's about a 40 minute walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach. Coming from the US, I was surprised that there weren't trees or bushes separating each site but it was a wonderful place to camp. We got a powerless site for three nights but they had heaps if other options (powered, huts, villas, etc.) This is the type of place that I could see myself coming to every year. Absolutely magical experience.

A really great campsite because the bathrooms are super clean and smell like spring! There’s also a community kitchen, laundry and free wifi for others in the group that can’t live without Snapchat. The only downside about Hahei is that during the week everything in the town closes super early!

This is the 2nd year we have stayed here. The location is arguably the best in coromandel and perfect if you're a tent or glamour tent loving family. I have stayed in the cabins which are great and provide all the essentials. The management has a bit of attitude when it comes to bookings and if you are planning to stay over the summer, it is best booking 7-8 months in advance. Cancellation policy is not fair and you'll have to suck it up if you want to enjoy the beautiful Hahei beach. Amenities are okay but the shower in the cabin is only suitable for kids or thin people under 1.8m tall. It was also in dire need for a good clean as it has green mould build up. You will receive towels and rubbish bags but these will not be replaced with clean ones during your stay. Otherwise the camp is a super great place for kids, families and couples and I warmly recommend it.

We were camping here end of April, plenty of space, everything nice and clean. Good kitchen facilities, hot showers, even the 'cheap' spaces are just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Not the cheapest, but worth every dollar. A 1 hour walk to Cathedral Cove, and approx a 10 minute car drive to the hot water beach.

An absolutely perfect spot! We couldn't fault anything, the staff are so helpful at reception and give an amazing run down on the area. A+ Our room had everything we needed and the location is best in the world!

Very nice and clean accommodation. 3 minutes to the beach and food and drinks available within a 5 to 7 minutes walk.

Right from my initial online enquiry earlier in the year, (pre-Covid), I had great customer service particularly from Maqueenie and Steffi. I rented one of Beachfront Baches for a large family party. Well equipped and roomy, it was just perfect. If I made a request for something, if was never too much trouble. For my final night there I moved into a smaller cabin that was also well equipped, clean and pleasant.

Wonderful grounds for tent camping. Flat, grassy, variety of pitches, very clean, plenty of free showers, hairdryers, good kitchen and laundry facilities. Excellent location on beach front close to popular beaches.

Given the exceptional location next to Hahei Beach and about an hour's walk to Cathedral Cove, I wod have expected better maintained toilet and shower facilities. They were acceptable but need some attention and regular cleaning. The site otherwise is well managed.

What a beautiful spot for a camp site. Surrounded by islands, golden sand, sea and even a pā site at the end of the beach this resort provides a great environment for summer camping.

Have been here a number of times and can't recommend enough. Staff are great, they have a little burger place onsite with outstanding burgers. Beach is family friendly (not big surf) water is super clean and clear.

Bit more pricey then other resorts in the area but ABSOLUTELY worth it! Super Clean bathrooms with plenty showers and no extra fee for hot water. Big kitchen area with everything you need and four big BBQS outside, which are also free. There are also two food trucks if you don't feel like cooking yourself. They also now offer a spa bath, that easily fits 6 people with an amazing view over the beach, for $40/hour. Can only recommend

This would have been a solid 5 but for two incidents with my boys, my eldest got (8yr old) got beaten up by two other boys staying at the resort and my youngest had a bicycle accident (his fault) and rode into a trailer and he needed to get his eyebrow glued back together as it split the skin open. The owner is a legend though and checked in on us following the incident with my eldest son and seemed to genuinely care which meant alot. This place has alot to offer though and is well worth the visit, amazing beach, excellent facilities and friendly staff. The first aid lady was good too.

The park is nice and spacious with plenty of shaded tent sites. The location can't be beaten. The burgers sold onsite were the best I've ever tasted. However, there were too few microwaves and ovens for the number of people using the kitchen in peak season. We also had difficulty sleeping due to people playing music - apparently "quiet time" doesn't start until 11pm which is way too late for kids. I'll look for a smaller, more family-friendly campground next time. I'll be back to buy a burger though!

It's a great place to take your family to stay at the beach. It's one of only a few Holiday destinations in New Zealand that are actually on the beach (1/2 km of beach front!) it is well run and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The place is very close to Hahei beach and just beautiful to spend a days and even nights here. The facilities are really awesome, clean and tidy. The kitchen is community kitchen and there clean toilets and laundry services. There is plenty of space for powered, unpowered and fully furnished rooms for stay. Bit expensive but it's worth it.

$40 for non-powered tent site. I think they could improve their facilities for such price. Very small kitchen, it was crowded on the long weekend. Keep in mind there is no covered area for dining.

We've been there camping before and the experience has always been awesome. This time we got a sea view cabin for 7 people as we had family from overseas. The experience could not be better. The cabin has everything to support any group to enjoy the best of hahei. Customer service and all the amenities were at very high standards as always. We will always be back and recommend the place for family and friends.

One of the best camping grounds that I've stayed in in NZ. Really well organised, social, and good facilities. A bit pricey, buy worth it. Showers are free, the kitchen facilities are good, and there are massive freezers. Best: there are food trucks on site in the summer! And great coffee and the baristas at the shop are there to support you! Get to the beach early for your morning swim to beat the crowds. There are hot tubs for adults in the evenings. You want to sit in them. Talk to the office about it!

We had a small cabin and a campsite. The sites are pretty big and we could fit two small tents and a car on the site. The cabin was just a room with the beds and small (hotel size) fridge and small square table. Great location just minutes from the beach. Awesome bbq area and kitchen and bathroom facilities, you're definitely not roughing it! The only downside is that it is sooo big there are so many people so the staff went around the site from about 10.30pm (saturday night) to break up the groups talking, drinking and having the general camping fun you would expect from a campsite.

I love it here, only my second time but will be back again next year. I love everything about Hahei Holiday Resort. We can't wait to come back.

This is a great holiday camp to stay in. Clean and well equipped. Great service. There is a small shop on site and there are two food trucks (seasonal). All just by the beach.

Really great place and location for overseas and locals. Reception are really nice and friendly and the beach was awesome. We stayed in the basic cabin using the shared amenities were pretty good, nothing too fancy but very good for camping. Only 'small' problem was litter and comfort of the cabins (beds were not great).

Great staff and perfect location, but I was unimpressed with the cleaning. Sure there's a water shortage but that shouldn't stop you whipping around with the vacuum cleaner and getting rid of the cobwebs full of dead flies, for example.

Overall a very nice location to stay at. We stayed right on the beach front on a powered site and it was worth the money. Was a short stroll to the beach for an awesome view! Only let downs were the outdated shower and toilet facilities and that we couldn't seem to find any general refuse bins, so we had to take our rubbish with us.

It has a wide property of tents and camping grounds and a cafe and info desk at the front. The beach is basically an air conditioner when you have a swim. It truly is heaven at this time of the year

By far the best holiday park we stayed at during our time around the north island. On the beach, walking distance to a great cafe in town, great burger place on site, close pick up for water taxi to cathedral cove.

Very basic and old looking facilities. The toilet block was like an old public loo you'd find in the middle of nowhere! stayed in a lot of sites over the past month and surprised this has such good reviews..

We stayed two night on an unpowered site in our tent. Right by the most beautiful beach, 2 minutes walk for a swim. Excellent facilities, for cooking and showering, awesome food available on site with Serial Griller Burgers and Intoku breakfast bowls. (Great vegetarian options!) Coffee from the local cafe and everything else you need from the village shop Highly recommended

Probably my favorite campground. it has a cute little area with lights and a mini bar and food trucks in the center and the campground itself is beach side. we were in the reserve area called airstrip and our site was so huge.

What a great place, camping ground like no other.fabulous facilities,a must to visit.Great beach with golden sand, a definite 5 stars.

This place ticks all the boxes - big sites, good grass, good amount of space between rows, good kitchen, BBQs and there is even an on-site barista. Just a few steps to an amazing beach and not many more to the 'town' centre.

Great place to pitch a tent by the sea enjoy the summer sun with a ice cold beer while listening to your favourite beats. The park is located just next to the beach and close to the hahei village shops and liquor store. Abit on the pricy end, but definitely worth it considering the atmosphere and facilities. Also very close to the cathedral cove and hot water beach. Highly recommend!

Great place, I stay there every year with my family. It's a friendly clean place with warm showers. You can walk to the beach from the camp ground, the waves are small and great for younger and older kids. Would highly recommend Hahei

What a lovely place to visit. Close to all the tourist attractions. Only thing was the lack of noise control after hours. Maybe this was a once off, but we had people screaming and laughing until 1am when we had to get up and ask them to please keep quiet so we could sleep.

I very much enjoyed this Holiday Park. The staff are very nice and the grounds are really nice. The bathrooms and kitchen are kind of small but they have free Hot Plates near the picnic tables. This location is also directly next to Cathedral Cove hence the reason we stayed here. Loved it and would definitely stay again if I could!

Incredible place. Good for a romantic getaway if you want to splurge on the villas. I can highly recommend doing so as you have access to an amazing hot tub

All in all a very nice place to stay. The site has everything that is needed in a camp site. We had a beautiful bayview spot with a short walk of 50 meters to the beach. Facilities are good with hot showers and clean toilets!

Very good and big campground at Hahei. Off-peak the cost for 2 adults & campervan is really affordable and if the resort is not fully booked you can choose your 'campervan slot'. The further away from the beach, the lower the cost. Ghod as well: you can walk to Cathedral Cove directly from the resort beach in about 50-60mins i.e. can avoid additional parking fees.

Camped here. Neat and tidy facilities just a stones throw from the beach. Well worth it.

Stayed on the non powered site next to the beach for a night. Kitchen and Showers were clean and large. You have to pay for wifi, $2 for around 250 mb. There is a path that takes you directly to the beach and you can then walk to cathedral cove or the other beaches.

Large site, expensive compated to otjets we've stayed in on the north island, wonderful location but unfortunately as we arrived on a bank holiday weekend (that we we're unaware of ) site was manic! Toilets and showers could do with a deep clean, although surface cleaned this really is not enough by the 26th Jan. Also many of the hooks in showers damaged or missing so its difficult to keep clothes dry while showering. Minor point I know but frustrating if your the one trying to shower & change into dry clothes.

This is a regular place for us to camp. The beach is just over the dune. The kids disappear for hours but the resort is so safe we don't worry at all.

Lovely spot sandy beaches clean facilities plenty of space. Staff friendly will certainly go back again .

Beautiful caravan park on one of Coromandel's best beaches. We stayed in one of the Sea View Villas & love it. New, modern & clean upmarket villa just meters from the beach, I couldn't fault it. Highly recommend.

Fantastic family campground. Great facilities and reasonably sized sites. Could possibly be 1 metre wider on some sites. Also a range of powered sites, cabins and bach accommodation.

Absolutely love the Coromandel especially Hahei. 20 yrs ago we stayed at Hahei holiday park and it has expanded since then. It's in a perfect spot right there in front of the pristine beach where the water taxi, Kayak and other tour operators are. Close stroll into town and 10km to the ferry for Whitianga and less to Hotwater beach. The highlight is the walk from our accommodation along the beach to Cathedral cove (reasonable level of fitness is required due to areas being uphill and steps, however you will not be dissappointed with views and destination. A water taxi to and from is available depending on the swell). Hahei holiday resort offers a a variety and levels of accommodation from tent sites to beach front motels. Our garden motel was exceptional, very clean and spacious, spacious carpark. The Burger stand serves the most creative delicious food, which is owned separately from the resort. All other facilities are basic but clean. There is a shop by reception that is stocked well and I noticed a communal freezer area and bike hire across from it. Overall a awesome place to stay. Just one small let down if you are a coffee person, there is a young man with lovely manners but unfortunately a pain staking very slow barrista, ridiculously frustratingly slow lol....grab one in town or even better Whitianga!

Have to give this place a top rating. One of the cleanest, well maintained camping grounds I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. Great access to the beach and a beautiful quiet beach it is.

We love this place. Close to the beach with good amenities and some shady spots to pitch your tent in. Food vendors are often on site if you don't feel like cooking.

Hahei holiday resort was great. Grant and his team worked hard to make the camp look great. In fact immaculate. All facilities were great and clean.

Great place for families and backpackers. We stayed in a cabin and they had everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

Overall good but the free unlimited wifi is not good poor signal strength phones wouldn't connect and water at camp site had no pressure

The best location you can imagine for a camping spot, very close to the beach. BUT all aminities was very dirty and the price too high. If you charge $30 per person per night, you expect top standard. At least cleaniness.

Bit expensive but toilets and showers are clean and nice camping spots close to the beach. Large kitchen available. No free WiFi ($5/24h).

Great services, kitchen for cooking, zips with boiling water, washing stations, multi toilet stalls, showers etc. Lots of camp sites, cabins, backpacker accomodation. Fridges, freezers, bikes, shop, coffe, and pizza oven. Great place to stay.

There's accomadation for everyone. Camping sites, cabins, studios. Well laid out and signposted. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of trees and shrubs break the camp ground up into sheltered areas.

The motor camp is lovely , some of the amenities could do my updating hasn't changed in 25 years

Hahei is a beautiful place to stay. My family have stayed here for generations. Peaceful, beautiful and empty during winter. Icon of Kiwi summer during Christmas and New Year.

The resort is located close to city centre of Hahei and extremely close to the hahei beach. The resort also has a small shop selling daily stuff.
