Reviews of Te Puni Village

Te Puni Village is a good option in Wellington. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the rooms are relatively spacious and have everything you need except for stoves. They also have a laundry service that turned out to be really helpful for us. The location is quite close to the city center and convenient for most of the points of interest.

student rooms quite small.. not much hanging space for your clothes.. the bigger rooms where you have your own bathroom had heating going during summer.. no idea why.. was nice to have my own space. nice place though. young blokes working there quite nice.. female one was a bit kinda judgemental.

Cosy student hall turned apartment rental during the holiday season. Super affordable, clean and easy to book. Ensuite or shared bathroom are both available but often booked out.

Good value to stay during summer season. This is a student dormitory. But the facility is pretty nice. Free continental breakfast.

Experience a great student lifestyle with Te Puni Village, only a short walk from campus, with idyllic views of Wellington and supported by academic and pastoral care enabling you to make your journey to independence and achievement.

(Translated) This is a student residence that is used as a hotel during the semester break
is being used. That makes it a simple but also very cheap and central accommodation. The parliament is around 30 minutes away on foot, the botanical garden 15. However, there are always some inclines to overcome.
We came by rental car. We didn't have any problems with the parking lot. There are some designated parking spaces and when you check in you get a slip of paper for the windshield "Te Puni summer stay". In our case there were several places available. Indeed, they are hard to find, finding the note "Gate 7" and driving in was very helpful.
The rooms have their own bathroom and towels are provided, just like in a hotel. The WiFi connection is great.
The breakfast included at a low price is of course great. It's includes cereal, toast, jam, and vegemite. Cheese and eggs are unfortunately not included, but we simply bought some cheese as a supplement. Coffee / cappuccino and orange juice are available throughout the day. What I do not like at all is that the jam is distributed in small plastic packaging and is not very environmentally friendly. There are better alternatives to the same if not less financial expense.
Yes, but in the middle of Wellington 2 people for 40 € per night - that's a great thing. Thumbs up 👍🏼

In unserem Fall waren mehrere Plätze frei.
Daumen hoch 👍🏼

(Translated) School apartment, cheap. But in the school. The school is in the mountains, not as convenient as the mountain
