D.My elderly cat broke his leg and Albany pet were so good with him for all my visits. Even though its a journey for me to get there and I go past about 4 or more other vets, I would highly recommend them. So kind and patient and did the very best for my boy.
J.Amazing, caring vet - highly recommend. I struggled to find somewhere who would see my dog as I am just visiting in Auckland and not registered to any vet. These guys were more than happy to see my dog as a one off after being declined by 5 prior vets who weren’t taking new clients. They were kind, gentle and happy to help her, and made me feel like they care about the pet and not just doing business.

In particular, Daniel is such an outstanding vet. His ability to recall and share related research knowledge shows he is very well read. He is so thorough during consultations and takes time to determine the cause and best treatments. We never feel rushed and always feel well informed. We know our pets are in the best care with Albany Vet Hospital.
A.My dog Banjo and I have been visiting the Albany Veterinary Hospital for 15 years and have always had the very best of care. The vets, vet nurses and reception staff onsite are all wonderful, however we have a special shout out to Gaye, who always treats my furbaby as if he were her own, with the upmost of love and affection with the very best of care and advice. I throughly recommend this service to anyone with a much loved pet.

M.Our experience at this veterinary clinic was extraordinary, the service was quick and efficient, cat had a nasty encounter with a car the vet did a superb job to save the animal and the cost was reasonable. We were recommended by a friend whose own cat was saved by some tremendous dexterity. Outstanding post-op care. Had dealings with several veterinary clinics in the area - this one is by far and away the best value.

M.We have been taking our precious puppy here since we got her. They are extremely helpful and seem very caring. I'm a first time dog owner and the staff always patiently answer all of my silly questions with a smile. I get the feeling that these vets and all supporting staff really care about the animals they are looking after.
b.I took my cat to see the vet. Was worried about him as his back was in pain when patted. Vet got a cat brush and brushed the knot off his back. I was adamant that I knew more than the vet and asked for medication. Vet said he doesn't need it. Vet was right... I just needed a cat brush as my fat cat cant groom himself properly. Found out he doesn't have diabetes too which was another bonus haha
M.Very knowledgeable team. Completely trust them with all my pets. Everything fully explained prior to my cat operation. they even phoned the next day to check how she was going.

O.Excellent staff, explain the issue and potential fixes in depth, phoned me with updates and avoided unnecessary surgery. Can do ultrasound, main floor and one consult room are wheelchair friendly.

E.I cannot believe the bad reviews for this place - maybe they are talking about a different place.
We have been coming here for about 30 years at various times for treatment for different cats. The care has always been excellent, whether for planned annual check-ups or for emergency treatment.
We would never consider taking our beloved cats anywhere else and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for expert and caring veterinary care in the Albany area.
L.Having had pets for the last 35 years, and visited to a lot of vets over that time, Albany Veterinary Hospital is the best we have been to, bar none. The care, attention, and loving nature of the vets and nurses made difficult visits a pleasant experience. They truly understand animals from both a physiological and psychological perspective. The pet comes first closely followed by the owner. I cannot express in words how much we appreciate their care of our pets and of us. Exceptional people.
M.I have attended this clinic for the past 20 years since coming to Auckland and Gae Kurte is the one vet I always see. She has cared for many of my animals and has seen me through the dark times when I have had to say goodbye to one of my fur babies. Gae, please never leave. What will I do? J.Daniel & the crew here are amazing. They've been looking after us for about 10 or more odd years now, and we wouldn't ever move ourselves from Albany Vet Hospital being our personal vet clinic, although we stay on the other side of the city now.
Personally they have always taken care of our family members till the end, even home visits for the sad day that the Rainbow Bridge opens up for a loved one. A clinic that becomes very personal with you, caring, understanding, and even in the face of the odds supportive and guiding to help you along and understand what is going on. Our pets have always walked away sorted, without needing to return to try something else, or bum around trying different things. They get you sorted. The nurses have always been lovely with our family members and do everything they can to help them be calm and comfortable during visits.
Professionally we use them also for pre-check transporting dogs & cats internationally, MPI certified they make the whole process slick and smart whereas other clinics we'd tried in the early days could wreck your plans quick smart, which is no good when an owner is expecting their pets to turn up on the other side of the world on a specific date!.
Very professional, and on the ball re MPI checks.
Highly recommended, you can't go wrong with Albany Vet Hospital, well worth the travel if you are not on the North Shore, and a receiving and caring reception that is not always easy to find in all clinics during your times of need.
